Amen! moonchild, great post. It was that way with Brad 2, after the private picnic the women knew it was Emily and Brad had to work at it to keep them there and interest. They couldn"t have a show with no one there but F1. If Catherine truely loves Sean, moving will be no problem, love moves mountains. Believe me, I'm willing to move to another country.

Not me. I have little doubt that she was a key part of the decision process and was more likely than not strongly in favor of him doing it.

All I can think about is a repeat of Jake and Vienna. Yes, I know that both Sean and Cat seem like far nicer people but it's a HUGE stress on a very young relationship. I suspect they may not survive it. I so wish he wasn't doing it. Why is he? Didn't he just get a nice chunk of change from doing the Bach? Makes me concerned that he has fame ambitions.

I don't think this will in any way be a repeat of Jake and Vienna. I remember when Jake danced and he tried to take control of his partner (Cheryl?). He, I thought, was very disrespectful of her- and while I really didn't and don't think that much of Vienna, it was a really ugly side to Jake that we were shown (and I think he went home soon after).

I don't see that happening with Sean who was a college athlete- and played for the most old-school of coaches- for whom there are no short cuts, only LOTS of hard work. I will expect that Sean can dance a little bit and will take the coaching seriously (and give his partner the respect that her expertise deserves). He will make it a few weeks on likability and longer if he can actually dance. We'll see.

Jake and Vienna are twin sociopaths, I would think its a little harsh to compare Seanie and Catherine with these two lost souls of reality tv.
Jake bullied my favorite dancer Chelsie, I still wanted to murder him for that and Vienna cheated and stole her military husband's money and and left him after he
lost his limb in IraQ.

DWTS or not Jake and Vienna would have imploded. I still remember them waltzing to "On the Wing of Love" and I still throw up in my mouth just thinking about it.


Just imagining Sean dance the rumba is making my teeth hurt. Can you imagine that muscular jacobobitch frame making figure 8's with his hips? Awwwkward. :hidingchair Latinos and Black athletes have a natural rhythm, while white muscular dudes not so much. Can Sean move like Magic Mike? DWTS may be a good distraction. If Sean is not ready to commit, it delays focusing on the relationship. The real stress will probably happen after DWTS, and they will be forced to make real life day to day decisions. This is about the time when honeymoon stage is over ... but most of us will be busy
doing commentaries of the Bachelorette, when they probably make the announcement of breaking the engagement, just dating etc. Or Sean proves me wrong and move to another neutral state, away from her obsessed sister to learn how to make decisions on his own or just consulting Cat, get couples counseling and learn to make vegan dishes for Catherine, I just might have some hope that that moment in Thailand was not just a mirage. But I'm not holding my breath.

I think it would have worked better if they met this way, Catherine is the Bachelorette, and Sean is one of the contestant and the eventual F1. That way, Catherine is not treated like a glorified fan and his family will not freak out so much, because he will be in the limelight because of Catherine. And that sister will probably be not in the limelight AT ALL> Catherine will ask him if he can move to Seattle and he will probably say yes I will, no problemo. This is why there are more marriages that came out of BAchelorette, women call the shots and the men happily oblige.

Does anyone think AshLee might have had some work done since filming? Her features don't look as angular as when she was filming to me. Maybe Erica Rose's dad??? she lives in the same town. Either way she looks really good on the WTA.

^^^ I was thinking the same thing, moonchild! Her cheekbones were strikingly high and angular during the show but not so much now.
