is it on a special night? how are they fitting it in to the lineup? they'd better not replace him for Castle

It will be a two night thingy again. It will be shown on a Tuesday night following the departing of Dez on the Monday.

It is scheduled for Tuesday.
My 2 cents- I think they're anticipating a lot with Tierra at the Wta... So they're going to show some of what they usually show then- unshown footage, interview with the bachelor... Etc, they will have plenty of time to pay attention to the Tierrorist as a result.... And each of the women will be able to chime in.... And they'll still have enough time to chat with f5-3. I kind of anticipate some heart felt moments with AshLee.

I also think after the Tuesday night success this week and ABC having some airtime available, it was a win-win for the show and the network.

Exactly! It's all about ratings. America seems to love Sean - his ratings are great and the Tuesday showing of Bachelor beat out all other competitors (including CSI, Vegas and the season opener of Smash). ABC recognizes a good thing when they got it and know they can get the ad revenue. Guess there is a hole in ABC's Tuesday night programming so that's why they are using this opportunity to capitalize on Sean's popularity.
I also think it's to help them finalize their decision for next Bachelorette by showing more scenes of their top candidates and building up the fan base.
I definitely do not see Sean having that great of a connection with Tierra. Certainly not the type of connection that Ben immediately had with Courtney. He seems to be "dealing" with her but not really digging her.
After Tierra goes next week, we are going to see as much of Cat as the other remaining gals and that's plenty of time for America to fall in love with her sweetness and start believing she is his F1. For three episodes in a row we've seen some very special scenes and IMO unique connections between Sean & Catherine. As another poster noted above, he does seem more carefree and just plain happy with her. He is also very affectionate with Cat.

I think Tierra appeals (on purpose!) to his need of protecting the women. The same need that made him give most of the GDR as reassurance to the ones who were (acting) insecure.

Yup, I actually found his compassion on group date's to be sweet. Sean seems to have a healthy amount of self confidence. His comment to Catherine about her not "needing" a rose on GD's or lots of reassurances made me think that he was very confident in his relationship with her and that he thought that Catherine also had a healthy dose of self confidence herself ... something he probably admires about her. He could relax with her (and with Lindsay) because they were less "needy" and I think he really finds that attractive.
I don't buy the idea that Sean is looking to be anyone's savior. I think he wants someone who can hold her own.

I take anything that Ashley said with a grain if salt because those who go home the first night have very little time to really get the lay of the land. I know someone who's friend went home the 1st epi and she only had a few mins with Jason. They also don't really get to know the other women until later on.
The special doesn't interest me much other than the Catherine part. I guess they feel it's worth doing for the ratings.

I agree that the ones who go home the first night don't have a lot of knowledge, but they know how they were treated by other people for those few short hours. I just thought the being told when they could interrupt the lead, where they could and couldn't sit, and that her storyline was basically written off of a particular book seen on her nightstand were interesting little tidbits.
