i think that wanting different things is just a euphemism for incompatibility on some major issue. Maybe one of them wants to start a family soon and the other doesnt want kids anytime soon. (Or some other major thing).

Yep, and the most obvious would be, for whatever reason, one wanting to marry and the other not.

I was truly hoping this successful couple would go the distance, but that didn't happen.

Those are all very good examples of wanting different things.

I always thought it was unusual she never attended his Red Carpet gigs. Plus, as posted upthread, the tweets of them together were dropping off quickly in the last few months.

I am really sorry they did not make it. The tip off for me was them not spending Xmas together. I believe he drove to his parents and she stay.

Never knew that they had spent Xmas apart, that then was definitely a deciding factor. What couple would do that unless there were already major problems in the relationship!! I for one am so sad also that they have parted ways.

Until googling just a few minutes ago, I had only followed the couple here. Anyway, the piece this came from reads much like the People mag announcement, except for the paragraph below ...

"During the 2012 finale of "The Bachelor Canada," 30-year-old Smith proposed to Kamber in Barbados. But the duo has not been seen together publicly since June 2013, when they attended a Lancôme photo exhibit in Toronto."

Me, too! ( Plus as mentioned upthread, I was "bothered" by minimal or almost nil reference to each other with their tweets. I'm hoping for a KypTen, too! However, I agree that their relationship is more like Ali and Roberto where one's job is in the spotlight. Sadness.

I don't know what they call publically but there is a picture of the both of them on Bianca's twitter that was taken at the end of January where they decorated a heart cookie to raise money for a little boy who is ill.
It was not done in their apartment.

Then on the 19th of March made their announcement.

I don't know for sure but I think she must have broke it off.  I'm pretty sure Bianka made this comment on FB but I can't find it now.  It was something to the effect that. " Is it weird to feel guilty when I have nothing to feel guilty about."  So this makes me think it was her.  

shame - seems like a canned excuse - but they know why they broke up...or should I say consciously uncoupled...??
