I know it is inconvenient for all the locals and I also know it is staged however if it helps with tourism and helps promote a deserving beautiful island what are a few days of disruption. I also know there is no Santa or Easter Bunny but that doesn't stop me hoping for a surprise present under the tree each Christmas ... or an extra chocolate bunny rabbit at Easter :)

Destination Expert for St. Croix

Well... we saw almost all of the things listed above. We got there Friday the 19th and immediately were inundated with all of the rumors and stories. The people associated with the show were everywhere ,dominating the whole resort. They did become a bit of a pain after the 2nd day. Anyway I'll try to fill in some of the things we saw and experienced with the filming.... if what I saw is "reality" then I am really confused. It took about about 4/5 hrs. for the crew to set up and film the arrival by seaplane at Mermaid beach... People all over the place giving orders, mostly conflicting, lights, sound apparatus,cameras, support people coming and going all day. Vans with bottled water,food, whatever. The bachelor was sweating and did not seem the least bit natural/real. The bachelorettes were all primped up and mostly kept out of sight. I bet the entire arrival scene will not be much more than 5 minutes. All of the women with us enjoyed the whole scene but me being old and crochety got fed up with all of it very quickly. Anyway the crews were all over the resort and the island for all of our trip. They shut down Company street for at least 5 hrs. to film a parade scene....I have to say that experiencing what we did ,that I'll never watch another "reality" show again, not that I ever watched that many. I will watch the Bachelor episode on STX only because I want to see how they edit things and so on. They picked a great time to film because the weather was perfect, the island was green,green,green...,flowers blooming and the resort and the town was all spiffied up. Anyway,I have to run and catch up on everything that needs attention and will try to write some things with more detail soon.

Yep, saw aahlixx twitter to sarahherron. I really think Sarah was sent home. Not 100% sure. But, it's all adding up. I can tell aahlixx is happy to have her BFF home.

I think Sarah and Selma were both eliminated during the last RC (Filmed in Canada)!

I believe it went from 9 girls to 6 girls? So one more contestants besides Sarah and Selma might have been eliminated during the RC in Canada.

I do know it is too early for htd rc, but on the other hand, if they are travelling to LA or some other RC destination, wouldn't they travel together and be there early to set things up?
