I've been watching the series since the start and it was really not that different to me. Alex picked Amanda over Trista (Amanda had nothing but a physical edit), Aaron picked Helene over the viewer fav, etc (actually, the 3rd place gal Gwen was more popular than them both), etc. Helene really reminds me of Whitney in a lot of ways.

I watched some of Bianka's date in Paris and thought it was boring. Then again, I haven't been watching the show since Ashlee's season. Actually, I only watched youtube clips of Ashlee's.

Didn't watch either version of Brad's season, only did caps for avis from Ben's and didn't watch one min of Emily's.

Hmmm, didn't know there was an Ashlee season?? I do know of an Ashley season though.

But I will say, how they are editing the whole Canadian one is different. Yes, you may not be a fan of Bianka, but the editing with the two of them is very much like the hidden edit of seasons past. IMO

I like Bianka fine. I just don't see Whitney any different than any other past ones. Sorry, I meant Ashley.

Atem, in watching the last epi (HTD's) you can really see the relationship and storyline building with Bianka. Her storyline is that of "will she trust Brad" enough to accept a proposal from him. The relationship with Whitney is the opposite, it's on the decline and that in itself seems to be her storyline. They're portraying her as "emotionally closed off" and Brad is voicing his concerns about that.

As the F2, both Bianka and Whitney have something to overcome in their storyline, but Whitney's relationship with Brad seems to be stalling or going backwards, not forward and building like Bianka's is. That's why I think Bianka will be F1.

Completely agree jojo! Whitney's relationship is really stalling and going backwards right now and the HTD showed that really well, where as with Bianka, it is full steam ahead, and like what has been said before. Bianka is also engaging in the relationship as well, challenging him, making things happen. With Whitney, it is the exact opposite and the point about her being there for the challenge of getting what she wants is so very obvious...even her sister said that.

Maybe so, but the editing now with their connection going downhill and Bianka's picking up speed as well as the blogs aren't and haven't favored Whitney in quite a while. they are favoring Bianka and have for a while now.

Franky, I see zero heat/passion. If he picks Bianka it's because they like each other enough to date for a while.

the show has been rather lackluster ---- I'm wondering if the lack of continuity/musical interlude is part of the reason.

I agree anders. I have not been able to get terribly excited about Canada's Bachelor season. Either they had to make the scenes and conversations so choppy because of only having 1-1/2 hr. each episode rather than 2 hr.; or Brad was too obvious in who he wanted to pursue - either Bianka or Whitney - so they had to do a lot of cut and paste; or it was just a total lackluster season with no obvious passion between the players (bachelor and bachelorettes) and they were just going through the process hence the poor cut and paste. I'm going with the latter. The most excitement I have had is guessing where the episodes take place and who will be sent home.

Yup, I love sleuthing with no spoilers too. I was looking at the preview shown for the FD. It appears we have the answer to Whitney (red dress) causing Brad to say "this is the most selfish thing you could do". During the RC what we see and hear is this: Camera showing Brad's face only, Whit's voice saying "I need to talk with you". Camera showing Brad's face but Whit's back and her voice saying "I am being honest with you". Camera on Whit's face "I don't know what's wrong". Camera on Brad and Whit, Brad saying" This is the most selfish thing you could have done". So how this really goes down and what was completely said during the RC we will see.

I'm with JoJo and Auntie's Love.. I think they've left in the clip of Whit's sister stating Whitney always wins and Whitney gets what she wants to add credibility to Brad's current worries about Whit. It is not just the edit, this is how her own twin views her. Whit is out to win.

Also, could not help but notice that in the entire episode, Whitney's happiest moment did not stem from any of her own interactions with Brad. She could not contain her glee at Gabi not receiving a rose. Clearly, Brad was able to see Whit smiling and laughing as Gabi left. So tacky!

Bianka, IMO, had no choice but to let Brad know about her past relationship with Kris Humphries. Had she not been upfront it surely would have been used against her. She needed to be upfront. Also, I don't think it's fair of those who have referred to her as a fame whore, as nobody even knew who Kris Humphries was when she was dating him. This is Canada! Not like he's a hockey player LOL :) I can find no evidence in any articles on her that she has saught payment for spilling secrets or anything sleezy. It doesn't appear she even participated in any interviews. I also think that Bianka must be concerned about being humiliated in any way and because of this, she must be very sure of how Brad is feeling about her or she would not be admiting how strong her feelings are.

I do feel the episodes are too short! We need the extra 30 min to do the story justice. Maybe there's a little bit of hopeless romantic in me but I am still hoping Brad found love with Bianka.

I agree with the bolded paragraph. I haven't been able to find any articles where she is trashing Kris. I find articles where Bianka is mentioned as the woman that Kris left to be with Kim.

I also believe there's alot we aren't seeing in the relationship between Brad/Bianka. Having said that, the same applies to Brad with any of the other women. However, according to Bianka's own words, Brad has had to "grow on her". By the time we get to the HTD episode, we see Bianka in ITM's stating that she is feeling strongly for Brad. These aren't VO's that are taken from later in the season and dropped into the scene; she's wearing the clothes from her HTD when she makes the statements. I believe they have spent an awful lot of time together and that there is confidence between the two of them in reciprocated feelings.

I am thinking there are a lot of conversations happening between Brad and Bianka than we are privy to. There is so much chop and paste with them. Just look at their date in Paris with the coffee. There is so much happening in those convo's than we are seeing. And yes, this show would benefit from it being a 2 hr show. Would fit some of those convo's in better and have a more continuous season because of it.

We are seeing heat between Brad and Whitney, but not much else..no plans, no nothing. With Bianka on the boat in Mexico, we see Brad talking about future thoughts, plans, etc. We never see that with Whitney.

I think you're right Auntie's Love. Brad and Bianka's relationship has been really edited and perhaps because their relationship would be too obvious to us viewers. They wanted us to wonder how Brad would react to her "Get rid of the other 3 girls" comment in the preview for episode 5 to invent drama when it was obviously a very light moment of laughter and not dramatic at all. This leads me to believe they are stretching for us to question the two of them together.

Bianka has asked Brad to show she can trust him, and by that I'm sure she has been specific in wanting to trust his feelings for her. My guess is since Mexico, Brad has done that. I expect off camera he has been very clear with her about how he feels about her. He gave her the first hometown rose and met her parents first.

When Brad met Laura in Paris, although at the Eiffel Tower, they did not go up. I wonder if Brad saved that romantic location for his date later on with Bianka. They certainly did not travel all that way for coffee and a carriage ride.
