Obama is currently a few blocks away from my house. Roads have been blocked off and I can't get to my car. I'm trying to get some work done from home, but policmen on horseback keep galloping by my window and it's distracting. duh

:P

DC is a strange place to live.

Hope you're doing okay jello, fingers crossed that you'l have power back soon! (can we get a *fingers crossed* emoticon?)

Our nights are in the single digits :dancing peg: but at least we aren't buried in snow. I guess I should feel greatful.
I really feel for those of you who got all the snow. It's coming here eventually, but I'm trying to wish it away. I think it has to warm up here to snow.

Hope everyone out east gets their power back on as soon as possible.

Nothing too interesting is going on around here, which I guess is a good thing. Only thing is that there is tons of construction going on around campus and on campus. It makes getting to and from class very interesting. I'm just glad that I graduate in like 6 months, because this whole project will be going on for at least 2 more years.

We finally have power back!!!! 7 days...phew! Now the hardest part is going to be catching up on everything. I am soooooo lost!

Sometimes I hate living in California.

No snow for me. As a matter of fact I haven't seen snow since I was 4.

Don't know where you live but almost all the inland mountains get snow in winter...even San Diego! Try driving up there when there is a storm this winter.

Same here. In Louisiana it never snows. It did a few years ago, but that was the only time I've seen or been in snow.

I've finally learned to keep an umbrella, winter coat, and change of shoes/socks in the trunk of my car in case of emergency..it only took 20 years but I've finally learned.
