In January 2011, my family's whole world changed in an instant when my husband was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He had chemo for a while and a bone marrow transplant last June. We almost lost him along the way several times..however..
On Saturday, we celebrated his 46th birthday and the 1 year anniversary since his Bone Marrow Transplant. We had a very wonderful surprise bash for him with family, friends and co-workers to celebrate. The last 18 months have been filled with lots of pain, tears and anxiety but also lots of hope, courage and beauty that happens when folks join together to support, encourage and cheer each other on.
So don't forget to stop and smell the roses and celebrate life whenever you can!

Kudo's to your husband for fighting and to the team who have helped him along the way, including all your family (as the team). Congratulations to him on being a survivor and I hope his health improves day by day.
