Well I feel partly responsible for the hijacking! Sorry everyone. It was a great game today, despite the heat. Yay Twins!

BTW...has anyone seen Kirk on Twin Cities Live lately? Just wondering if he has been on it since returning from BP2. He usually does a segment on Tuesday following the Monday night show.

I wanted a place to put this up. My grocery store in the suburbs of Minneapolis is all a buzz because Kim Kardashian and Chris Humphries have been shopping there about three times a week. My freezer is full and so is my refrigerator because I keep going over there and haven't seen them yet.

I tipped the girl that carried out my groceries so she would tell me what she knew. She said Kim is really short, and this seemed funny coming from a college girl who looked short to me so how much shorter is she? The carry out girl said that Kim is really pretty, much prettier in person than on tv and was really friendly to everyone. The girl that was helping me with my groceries said they were doing filming at the store and the cameras were from E. Do you think that Chris and Kim are doing their own show ala Lamar and Kloey?sp? How in the world does she spell her name?

For my Minnesota friends the grocery store is Lunds in Navarre which is really close to Lord Fletchers Restaurant. I am on my way out the door, my new plan of attack is to bag an apple and walk around with the apple and my iphone hoping to catch a picture.

Sorry emusha, this is not about NYC girls but I would love someone to talk about that too!

It's funny you write this because I have some friends who have a mission of running into Kim K somehow, someway while she is in MN. I do know one girl who saw them at the lake around the 4th of July.

Anyway, U2 is performing at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday so it is chaos around here. The stadium is about half a mile from my house so I plan on sitting out on my balcony and listening to it.

in Edina. MOA was my second home! I thought Lord Fletchers had
closed years ago. Has it reopened? We really need to take a road trip

I live about five minutes from Fletchers. It was rumored to be closing about five years ago but it is still going strong. I was there last weekend and it was packed plus they had a private party for 250 outside with tents. Food is better than ever and the crowd has switched from what it was in the old days when you could actually get a boatslip. People go there early just to park their boats for the day. I once had a neighbor who would put his bike in the boat, drive the boat over, park the boat and ride his bike home. He then would have his "social group" meet him at Fletchers at night and they would party on the boat. Absolutely the place to be seen. There are live bands on weekends now and every seat is taken in the outside area. I love to eat upstairs, inside so I can watch the fun outside from above. In the winter, they have broom hockey courts and games going on under the lights at night and in summer the volleyball is going strong.

Just heard yesterday that Chris and Kim stay at his house on Wayzata Bay when they are in town.

UMGirl, you bring back memories talking about the campus. I graduated from there many years ago and remember walking down University Avenue behind the marching band going to the old stadium. Don't know why but people liked to walk down the middle of the street after the band and we would all do it.

Nibbles, I love Edina, absolutely one of the best if not the best suburb in the Twin Cities. Love to go out to Southdale or the Galleria and then on to MOA.

Well going to run errands for I think the weather might be a bit cooler today. How in the world did you sit through a Twin's Game in this heat Beeleever??

Someone who will be related to my daughter in the near future through marriage, (but shall remain nameless) recently attended a wedding.
Apparently the groom's initial's were J. M.
Said person made a mistake in writing her gift check to the bridal couple. Said person was notified of mistake via the bride's embarrassed parents as the couple could not deposit the gift in their account since it was made out to someone else.
Apparently, she made the check out to "Mr. and Mrs. Jason Mesnick".
