The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

NNY........I don't care if Arie was first, second, third or whatever choice for the next bachelor! We do know that he was in the running. We also know that he took himself out of it. It was his decision. Case closed!

Ths is a riot.....

Just like some find it hard to see that Arie turned the job down, others find it equally as hard to believe that the first choice was anyone but Sean. I believe they wanted him since the MTA and worked hard to get him to sign on the dotted line. Maybe he played hard to get or gave some demands that allowed others to be considered, but he very well could have been their first choice all along. In the end none of it matters because Sean's the next lead and Arie gets to continue on with this appearance/racing/commentating/etc.

All this back and forth is downright annoying. No one's opinion will change so we are better off just moving on.

Okay, I feel better now for saying that.

I really never came on here to read these posts. I realize why now. I already work in a kindergarten room and that is what it is here. I think most here protest too much. If you all just were confident in your guy or couple you would not need to constantly put down the other guy. To constantly say that something that is true isn't and to argue over and over is so ridiculous. It is obvious that Arie is in a good place and is moving on. So should the rest of you. I guess if it makes you feel better thinking Arie was not asked and that Sean is hotter than so be it.But I think it is better if you just concentrate on your couple because I think they need all the support they can get. Weird how the guy who supposedly was the player according to RS is actually the good guy and the others are the ones trying to convince the fans they are in a good place. We will sit back and watch the rest play out. Thank goodness the grass is greener on the other side. Carry on with the one liners. It was a short visit here too bad it wasn't very sweet.

CH's tweet with the pic of Arie and talking about the filming starting which seemed designed to make people think Arie's the Bachelor was just strange to me. I'm sad that it's not a real possibility but happy for Arie that he's getting other opportunities on and off screen.

There's no way Sean was playing hard to get IMO. They did the exact same thing at last year's MTA by playing up Ames to see what response they'd get but we all know they really wanted Ben by the time the finale aired. I'm sure it was the same this season because they wanted options. Roberto may have been their first choice or another option. We'll probably never know. That doesn't have to be an insult to Sean any more than it was to Brad (2). They really really wanted Chris L that season. By the time filming rolls around they're happy with their new lead no matter where they came in order. It's only the fans who care about that.

...and we're back to the Arie debate and how it is "obvious" that he wouldn't lie and "undeniable" that he would be first choice. It's crazy - nothing is obvious and undeniable. I've said it before and I'll say it again. We are all speculating and we are speculating with OBVIOUS biases. We are never going to convince the "other side" that we are right. So, let's stop. Please. Debate can be fun, but when we get to a point where we are just bashing other contestants, I think they just turn ugly and the opposite of fun.

Yeah, i definitely think the tweet was strange and clearly aimed at misleading people, to create some buzz that Arie is TB so fans will stay tuned. Im so pissed-off that Fleiss and co still able to use him for their own sake rating-wise. Hopefully after Arie's contract with them last, he can immediately escape off their claws. Run Arie Run!..

I totally agree. It would be wonderful if it was a "mute" point from this point forward.

Wow, Jef was ridiculed all season long but it was ok, because some called it snark, but as soon as people make comments about the possibility that Arie did not actually turn down the bachelor, because he wasn't actually asked, it is called picking on poor Arie. Well I will say what I was told, and that is this isn't a fan board, and everybody has a right to their own opinion.


ETA: I am excited that Sean is the bachelor, and I think he will do a wonderful job!!!!
