The golden aspen, cottonwood and crisp autumn mornings make this one of finest times to visit Whitefish.
Could be staying here: Whitefish Mountain Resort http://skiwhitefish.com/winter_groups.php
It has an array of hotel/lodges, condos, etc. Could be the first hot tub moment.
There is also lodging at Glacier National Park: http://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/lodging.htm
The lodges and inns located throughout Glacier National Park provide a range of accommodations. Visitors may chose from rooms in historic grand hotels dating back to the early 1900's, modern motel type accommodations, rustic cabins, or historic backcountry chalets. The only road through Glacier National Park is called the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Due to the narrow curves of this 53-mile long road, recreational vehicles are not allowed, but tours are available in restored 1930s coaches called Red Jammers. Scenic flights are big, too.
Love the outdoorsy dates but brrrr..31 degrees there now.

You use to go that road in travel trailers and motorhomes(circa 1990). dangerous as all get out so thankfully it sounds like they stopped it. But for sure, the park is absolutely beautiful and the whitefish area lends to outdoor activities well.NCGalBecca wrote:Litta123 wrote:From explorewhitefish.comThe Today Show also proclaimed that the Whitefish area is one of America's great autumn destinations.
