I liken the Bentley issue to when our office was inteviewing several applicants for a job. There was this person who had a stellar resume and interviewed really well, in that he seemed to be personality wise what was comfortable, confident, outgoing. He said all the right things. One person was ready to hire the guy immediately. We also had (because the job market is such as it is) several other candidates with stellar qualifications to inteview. In every interview wrap, that one person on our committee kept retuning to guy #1 as a benchmark. I am not sure why some of us were hesitant about guy #1. Perhaps we just didnt see him as the ovewhelming best choice. In retrospect, I wonder I reacted to him being a bit too good to be real. We ended up rechecking references, inteviewing him again, and hiring someone else.
I am not sure this has any parallel to finding a love mate, but some of Ashley's comments reminded me of this committee person who just couldnt let go of his candidate. The later inteview and information bought out some chinks, and we moved on to someone else.

Exactly what I thought when I heard that line. I'll bet we'll look back on that discussion when it's all over and say well, they told us what to expect halfway through the season. Sometimes it's more obvious that we think.

I keep reading the DWTS speculation, and I can't help but think it can't happen...

I would think she has way too much dance experience.
