Sure! I use iMovie, but they're available on Macs only.

I've just started using Sony Vegas Pro..I've learned most of the effects by doing you tube tutorials.

I use video pad video editor-- it's super simple to use and very easy to make videos on, but sometimes you have to convert your videos if they don't fit the formatting license, no biggie though. You make the layout of the video in the program then turn it into a movie after it's completed (there are tons of options when you upload it into a movie but they are really easy to understand because there's lots of pictures to help you figure it out:rotfl:)
I started using Windows movie maker for a little, but I like this one better because it's way easier to snip and splice clips.
