Yeah, we have a Norwegian version of DWTS. The season of that finished this past Saturday. Not the winner I was hoping for. Then again, I didn't vote. I don't vote on the Norwegian version. My craziness only applies to the American one.

Thank you :Smiley: It's only a draft, but it has a deadline this coming Sunday. I have to finish it before then, because I have another one due next Friday. Hoping & praying for T-Croft participation in the finals. Something tells me I won't get much sleep this coming night, either. Hard to sleep when you tense up, both from study stress & this doggone addictive show.

Phew! I would have been here earlier but I was too busy voting my ass off!

Melissa and Tony's Argentine Tango blew me away. Those lifts were INSANE! If that dance doesn't tell people they belong in the finals, I don't know what will. We did our part with the voting Team T-Croft fans, now let's cross our fingers that they made it! I also loved their Caveman dance, I thought it was silly but really cute!

MissLittle thanks so much for posting the backstage interviews here. I got teary watching them. Just when I think I can't love this team any more than I already do....

Wow, Melissa was planning to drop out if Tony couldn't dance, rather than dance with someone else.

‘DWTS’ duo hopeful about finals

The couple that’s never won the coveted mirror ball trophy hopes to advance to the finals

Melissa Rycroft says that she was going to drop out of last night’s semi-finals if her pro partner, Tony Dovolani, who suffered a back injury earlier in the week, wasn’t able to perform.

“I was in tears,” Rycroft says. “I said, ‘We can’t do this, Tony. There is no way.’ We were trying to do the lifts and I would either end up upside down or he was moaning in pain. They had Henry [Byalikov, a troupe member ready to] come dance with me, and no offense to Henry because I love him, but it’s the semi-finals and [Tony and I] are a team. We are either in this together or we are not.

“I told Tony that if we need to get out, we will bow out [together] because if my neck had gotten me out of the competition he would have been there to support me. He pulled through with his medicine. He didn’t want to let me down. We’re motivating each other. And neither of us can let the other down. We just have to do it.”

Rycroft said that she and Dovolani dedicated their dance to a dear friend on Monday night. They were referring to the late Barbara Esensten, a television writer, and mother to DWTS casting producer Deena Katz. Esensten, 75, who wrote for TV shows including Dynasty, All My Children and Guiding Light, passed away on November 14.

“[Barbara] was a mother and grandmother figure to us,” Dovolani fondly shares. “We were actually going to go to her house on Thanksgiving. Ironically, the very last conversation that she had with Deena was on Tuesday after we made it to the semi-finals. She said that she couldn’t wait to see us in the finals.

“As corny as it may sound, I do feel like someone else out there helped us make it through our routine,” the injured Dovolani adds. “We had a lot of obstacles in our way this week and somehow we went out there and did it.”

Whether they advance to the finals or go home tonight, Rycroft says that she and Dovolani are at peace now knowing they’ve given it everything they have.

“It’s not that I feel confident by any means,” she says. “If it’s our time, then it’s our time. You love being able to say I have no regrets and I wouldn’t change a thing about what we did tonight.”

Can't say I'm surprised by that, but it does make me melt. They are the true definition of a team. My favorite pairing ever on this show. They were a team from day one in season 8. Tony said it himself during the interview with George. Their friendship is what has pushed them forward this season, and it's only gotten stronger.

I so want them to get the mirrorball. These two DESERVE IT!!!

They really are family now. I doubt many stars would pull out if their pro couldnt dance. Nervous about tonight but I know they did all they could and so did we.

Hope the writing is going well. Is the term almost over? I'm sorry if you already said pages ago, but were you a Melissa fan before this season. I will be so happy when we can celebrate
