Hello to all. I'm a new member here and to these dating shows so I... know... absolutely... nothing. I've read the rules but if I mess up  please forgive me in advance.

I do have a question. How do you know a contestant is out just from their SM accounts? I can guess but I'm not in the know well enough to believe my guess is right.

If the SM account is private, then they have to accept a request for a follow. We try to capture their followers/following when they are sleuthed so we know the numbers when they leave for filming. If they are following more than they were prior to filming, or there are more following them, (since they have to accept the request) that's also another indication.

If the SM is not private, and there are changes to the following, since they would have to actually follow the person themselves. The numbers of followers can increase without them having to accept the follow.
If there are any changes to those numbers, chances are they have been eliminated since they aren't suppose to have their phones with them.

This is what I thought. But my thoughts were also that someone else could be managing their SM to help them up their numbers. Being on TV is a great way to up the "fame factor" for them so having someone manage it while they can't is a possibility. Unlikely but possible.
