Delurking to put my 2-cents in regarding Cheryl Burke as the new Bachelorette... I'm a diehard DWTS fan, and from what I've seen of her there over the years, she's a no-bs kinda person and has a good head on her shoulders. I would love for her to be the next one, since it would bring someone "new" into it, who has a name outside of the Bachelor/bachelorette bubble. The whole recycling thing is getting tired, imo. So if Cheryl is up for it, I say GO!

If you havent listened to the video inteview with Jef's partner Cody Baker, you should. It changed my perception of the company 180 degrees. :Drinkwater:

It is a good interview. Highlights how they got started and a few comments from the early days - which were Nov 2011.

I dont know if it is in the Media or the Jef thread.

She seemed annoyed to me, not angry. Definitely not the level that RS claimed she was. I believe Love over RS.

I don't think Joe was there long enough to have time to be jealous or bitter. It's too easy to blame it on that. There was a reason why more than one guy thought having a lot of money was important to Emily. They were there.
I don't see Joe as a good source for this subject. Emily didn't even know his last name; they barely knew each other. I think it had to do with his assumption that she's materialistic and wants someone with money. According to her friends (Keltie & Krisily), she's well off on her own and doesn't need any man's money.
Jef says they didn't even discuss his financial status, and apparently at one point, she thought he still lived at home -- and she still liked him just as much. She knows they're not going to cast bums with no jobs, but I think this shows she doesn't care if her man is rich or not. Jef seemed a little bit bothered that people would discredit their relationship because of his wealth.

Regarding the 'bolded' statement. I find it hard to believe that if Emily was so into Jef she wouldn't know what he did for a living. Isn't that the kind of information you would want to know about a potential partner???? I would think that at the meet and greet she would at least find out the occupation and where they lived. To me, it shows that Emily wasn't as interested in Jef as she pretends to be. jmo.

at one point ..................... could have been at the M&G eh? I am not jumping into conclusion that she mentioned it during the fantasy date...

but then we only have to watch the deleted scene to know that was no longer a question at one point :)

We KNOW without a doubt that she knows what he does for a living. They show that in the Interview deleted Scene, it was very obvious they had talked about that. There is no question about that but just because you own your own Company does not make you rich. She may have inferred it based his clothes, etc. But what you do and what you make can be two different things. Ask a Lawyer a public defenders salary does not compare to many in the corporate or public law firms but they are both lawyers.
My point is that there are lots of questions one would ask if they were truly looking at that person as a potential partner, especially in such a short time frame. Questions such as what type of schools did you attend and what clubs are you affiliated with would imo give some clues to potential family wealth. jmo

He never said or hinted that they didn't discuss those things. Just that Money specifically did not come up. Not sure why this is such a big deal. We don't know if she discussed MONEY with Arie or Sean either.

I know if someone told me they co-owned a charity water business I would assume they didn't make a lot of money. Also, it wouldn't be surprising to think that Emily would find it rude or unbecoming to talk about money. I assume that she would have avoided the topic so that the guys didn't realize (if they didn't already know) that she is so well off so that it didn't factor into their attraction to her.

Hi Jelle! I'm guessing this post is pages behind by now but I'm curious if you would explain what you mean by this (if you have the time and want to). I watched the video after you posted this. I'm not a fan of bottled water at all and we rarely buy it. I have a few bottles in my emergency kit in the basement as we live in tornado alley - other than that, we use "old fashioned" coolers/jugs or reusable bottles that we purchased to travel with water. Since our only source of water is from a well, we put in a filter to make it more potable. Even with the biodegradable plastics, water bottles are still pollution and IMO unnecessary pollution. Like I said, I watched the video but it didn't necessarily change my opinion. I respect your opinions and posts - that's why I am curious and asking.

BTW, this has nothing to do with any like or dislike of 1F. I don't know him, therefore, I don't have an opinion one way or another about his person or his decision to start a company that I'm not excited about! I'm just against plastic bottled water in general.

You probably know this already, but it's not a charity water business. It's a for-profit business that is "charitable."

And it's quite expensive as well.
A package of 24 x 12oz bottles is $36.00 plus shipping

A 16 oz bottle in a burlap bag is $4.99
A gallon of milk costs less than that... just saying.

You probably know this already, but it's not a charity water business. It's a for-profit business that is "charitable."

And most businesses use charity to write off for tax purposes.
