Thanks..how does this compare to previous seasons?....
ABC: "The Bachelorette" (6.8 million, 4.7/7)
Ashley's epi 4 was 8.1 million
Thanks...doesn't look real good!
I think after Ben's season many people gave up on this show and swore to never watch it again. LOL

Was it just Natalie that felt this way or the other hosts as well? Who is on that show with her? TIA.
Wasn't it Natalie, David Good, and Jackie G? And they were vapid and superficial?
I'm shocked... SHOCKED!
^ I would be worried if this rag-tag group gave the stamp of approval to the F3.
I don't pay much attention to them since Ashley's season. They used to say really bad things about JP..look at Ash &JP now?
The same bachelorNation people now can't stop raving about Ash & JP..

^ America's Got Talent added Howard Stern as a judge in place of Piers Morgan. That has made a huge difference in AGT's ratings.
I thought I read AGT premiere was lower with Howard Stern than it was the year before.

That is very true. I think it was against some tough competition, but still I thought it would do better.

AGT 2011's season premiere had very high ratings, but then the ratings (albeit still strong) went significantly down for subsequent episodes.

Really, all you need to do is compare AGT to bachelorette's former competitor. I can guarantee AGT has way bigger following. Has nothing to do with Emily.
Looks like Ashley went up against master chef, Minute to win it. Not exactly a big following.

This is going to be a perfunctory tabloid update though there's actually a lot of Emily in the tabloids this week. I don't think there are any huge revelations though.
US Weekly's cover story is what Emily's hiding. The story inside covers her alleged temper (citing Brad relationship as evidence), alleged demands for the show, the Hendricks' alleged disapproval, and plastic surgery. Also covers how Emily already knew about Jef thanks to his connection to Doug who is connected to Michelle Money. Allegedly Doug called Emily as soon as he found out Jef was on the show to encourage her to keep him along because he's a good guy. US Weekly says it seems to have worked because he goes far in the show. I didn't see anything new in the story, mostly rehash of things already out there. There is also an inset on how guys went wrong on the show, citing Ryan, Kalon, and I think Tony.
Life & Style has a more sympathetic 2 page story about how protective a mom Emily is.
In Touch has a story focusing on Emily's alleged temper I think. Negatively slanted as you'd expect from In Touch.
Star has a 2 page positive story in which Sean's ex praises him as the perfect guy.
I think that's it though it's possible OK has a feature too. But if so, it's nothing new.

This is something i've been thinking about about this franchise. The bachelors do a really crappy job of picking even when they end up married (Jason) and there's been some extremely controversial/wonky/annoying choices like Courtney, Vienna, Shayne etc. The Bettes usually do a much better job overall, at least in the last few seasons the people they take to the end are decently matched with them on a few diff dimensions... I think this ties back to the fact that in society the *woman* generally selects her mate by sifting through to give attention to the ones she likes whereas the men are just roaming the fields throwing darts so that it sticks (even though I'm making mass generalizations here). I would say if the show were only focused on allowing for good matches the bachelor has been kinda worse at it...the problem is i guess in the majority of the audience being women and so it makes sense to have a bachelor.... oh well it's all for ratings any ways hu?

One thing I remembered that seems spoilerrific though I don't actually know if it's accurate.
The US Weekly article claims Emily was pissed off when she found out Arie had dated a B'ette producer (obviously Cassie but she's not named) in 2003. The article claims Emily stopped speaking to Cassie for a while despite Cassie having been her confidante. The article also claims Emily cut Arie immediately when she found out.
