Season 7, Episode 11
Episode Synopsis: Season 7 finale: In Fiji, Ashley must choose between the two final contenders for her heart and, perhaps, her hand. In their "last chance" dates, both guys use the L-word, but one has an edge: the support of Ashley's entire family. Not so for the other: Ashley's sister disapproves of him.

Sounds like Ashley' sis doesn't approve of JP.

So it sounds like only Ashley's sister didn't like JP, but the rest of the family likes both guys.

So Ash chose JP over her familys advice? Thats gonna end well.... :(

Actually if it's just the sister that doesn't approve of JP, then I don't think they'll have a problem with the rest of the family. could be wrong thou.

I wonder if the sister is "against" JP because of the similiarities with Ash's ex. Maybe she sees Ash picking the same "type" of guy and has concerns.

Yes it seems like Ashley's sister won't approve of JP but I think the rest of her family will approve of both guys. It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out.

So it sounds like just the sister doesn't like JP, that sucks, but I love her passionate support of her man. Neither JP or Ashley have anything to be insecure about in this relationship.

I think in life, many family members do not approve of who their loved ones fall in love with. They just don't say it as openly and directly on national TV. We don't know the relationship Ashley has with her sister or the reason that prompted her to respond in this way. Is it out of love for, or jealousy of Ashley? There are people who are very critical and make judgement of others before they know the facts. People interpret something said from their lens, which in cases, could be the polar opposite of the truth. It makes me sad to see how much Ashley loves JP yet have to deal with her sister behaving like this. If she truly loves her sister but had concerns, she should have brought them forward in a loving way instead of going on the attack. JMHO

Right. Or pull her aside privately, without the cameras. If Jake's family could be civil after meeting Vienna, then surely Ashley's sister could have been civil as well.

But we know TPTB would never allow that! They would lose their opportunity to create scandalous doubt!

Speculation:

Based on outfits it looks like Ashley's sister will disapprove of JP.

We have Ashley in her FRC outfit crying up a storm saying she thought it was going to be a great day but now it's ruined and it's not fair. Pretty easy to connect that now to the idea that her sister disapproves of her F1 choice which again points to JP.

The question is, will the producers let that hang over the FRC? Are they going to use Ashley's sister to cast some doubt as to who the F1 is or are they going to use Ashley's sister disapproval as a continued storyline for that episode? I mean, can Ashley's F1 really propose knowing that her sister is skeptical/disapproving for some reason?

Maybe the reason they haven't been hiding who Ashley's F1 choice is is that there's more to it, just like northernviewer predicted. The more to it is going to be whether JP can win over the sister. A real happy ending will involve not only Ashley and her F1 choosing each other but also her sister coming around and giving her blessing. Will that happen on the show or will Ashley/JP take the engagement leap and leave Ashley's sister's opinion as a topic for ATFR?

It's less likely IMO that Ashley's devastation is about the F2 rejection. I'm sure she'll be sad about that but I think her sister's opinion of her F1 will weigh on her mind more. That would fit with the way the whole season's been edited IMO, where the drama's more about whether Ashley and JP can overcome personal baggage than who her F1 choice is.
