SOOOOO does it mean that emily did not fall for arie at all before Prague and the kissing were just kissing?
interesting uh?
how convenient they could not tape anything when we know they are 24/7 always a crew/handler with them at all times....
versus sean searching emily in the streets when a camera is following him because we all know that the camera is on top of a local bug right?
Mr White. I would love to know where the emily/cassie interview took place. certainly not in prague.

all that tells me is that Cassie was instructed to keep it to herself until MF directed her to let M know.

quoting myself because it is the same subject
During this experience I was at times suspicious of some of the guys' motives, but I knew I couldn't live my life being paranoid so I just had to trust them. I remember being at Dollywood with Arie and saying how I felt so close to him without having the "awkward ex-girlfriend talk" yet. I could tell the word "ex-girlfriend" made him nervous and I think from that moment on I had a feeling I was missing something.
Before we started filming I had been told that there may be one contestant on the show this season who had dated Cassie, and I was asked if I would mind. Once I knew it was almost a decade ago, and knowing that Cassie is engaged to another one of my favorite producers, Pete, I was fine with it. I put it way out of my head as I was gearing up to meet the men, so when Cassie took it upon herself halfway through the season to tell me who the guy was, I was definitely surprised.
We had all been together so many times and it was never mentioned that they had ever met before and that's where my feelings of mistrust came in. If you knew Cassie the way I do, you would know what a great person she is, and that I'd be lucky to have a chance with one of her exes! Although I wish I would have known the specifics earlier, I understand the show didn't want to color my opinion of him. But I was concerned that Arie hadn't told me. I kept feeling like I should just come out and ask him about their relationship, but I didn't because I'm looking for someone that would just be straightforward with me. It was such a relief to finally have it all out there, and as you can see, we picked up right where we had left off.
so we have 3 different time
when they started filming
after cassie saw that emily started to have feelings for arie
at Prague
mmmmm make up your mind uh? I am surprised that they did not set an exact date so they would all be coherent

First off, I can't believe next week is hometown dates! This season is surely flying by! Arie gets the first one-on-one date and I was afraid a cat fight was going to break loose at one point. So, one of the main producers, Cassie (who was also my producer and is just lovely) had a very short relationship with Arie ten years ago! Somewhere along the way, Cassie told Emily about this, and Emily felt betrayed. She started to wonder… what else Arie is keeping from her? This is a somewhat complicated subject because as the Bachelorette, you never know what kind of lives these guys are leading back home. Are they being fully honest? Were they dating someone when they left? Do they have skeletons in their closet? You just never know. And no matter how confident you are, you always wonder if there's something they are keeping from you. You can't just google them like you would if you were home. I don't know what Arie and Cassie agreed to say about their "relationship" beforehand, but I do think it was right not to tell Emily right off the bat. Once Cassie started to see that Emily had feelings for him, she felt it was the right time to tell her. I can promise you, Cassie is an amazing person, and I know she really cares about Emily. I truly believe that there were no malicious reasons for why both Cassie and Arie weren't upfront about it. Cassie was waiting for a time when it was actually necessary, and Arie probably didn't know when to cross the line from reality television to reality. I do not blame them at all, but I certainly understand Emily's concern. Can you believe they let them talk about it off camera? That really surprised me, and it made the whole story line somewhat hard to follow. I wondered why it was shown in the first place, because Emily went from being super concerned, to having super love in her eyes. Arie and Emily did not skip a beat, and he is back in the running. I'm glad it is over. I love them together. So, there was really no drama after all! I thought there was going to be some major hair pulling this episode. Maybe next time.
yes, ashley. me too I do not get it.
ohhhh and YES emily WAS home the first few weeks and she most probably googled the one she was interested with! One thing for certain she said over and over again: emily does not want to be the fool anymore. she was with brad, no more. So do you believe that if she had the occasion to know if arie was a villain or not, she took the chance to google or call her best friend to do it for her? or even asked cassie straight forward at the M&G who was arie. uh? .... yep, me too.
and no camera at all for this HUGE explanation that the producers could use for drama effect? They are drama whore so nope, I do not believe one bit that this cassie/arie happened in prague at all.

Re: VO & PI's - Discussion - Bachelorette 8 - Thread #1
Sooooooo….I don’t post a lot but I’ve been around here, and Fort, and NOH’s etc., for years. And, some of you may have seen me do an analysis of VO’s/PI’s in the past. I wasn’t going to do it this season, mostly because I was so bored as a result of the ‘fan-girl-i-tis’ and bickering on the board that started after the 1F spoiler was announced. The only thing that kept me reading the board was the good old fashioned snark and the fact that I was seeing on my tv screen something different from the spoilers. Now, don’t ‘anyone go ‘fan-girl’ on me, this does not mean that I have a favorite guy. I don’t. I really don’t give a rat’s arse who Emily picks. I decided the rat’s arse wasn’t worth a hill of beans many, many seasons ago. That being said, I decided to cure my boredom by staying up last night and doing a VO/PI analysis of Arie and Jef’s dates since the beginning of the show. What did I find? Well, I’m gonna show you. What does it mean? Who the heck knows, and I’ll leave that up to you to figure out. I have theorized in the past that the person who is going to be chosen at the end will have the most, and most meaningful, stuff said about them that we actually see the lead say or hear her say and identify him by name (sections 2 and 3). The person who is not going to be chosen will have the least, and least meaningful, stuff said about them (in sections 2 and 3), perhaps because there is no real story there, and perhaps because the ooey gooey stuff we hear the lead say about him is a spliced and diced creation.
This is NOT an analysis of everything said on the dates. It is only an analysis of VO’s/PI’s said by the lead. Each date is broken down into several sections. Section 1 is those things we do not see the lead say, but we hear her say (and which could have been said at any time during filming and about anybody). Section 2 is those things we do not see the lead say but in which she identifies the guy she is on the date with by name or by something they did together (this could have been said at any time during filming and not necessarily on the date we hear it). Section 3 is those things we SEE the lead say when she is in the clothes from the same date and know for sure she saying the things about the particular guy on that date and at that time). I have highlighted those statements made by the lead that indicate something concrete about the way she feels about each guy or their time together.
I’ll do this in several sections, and if you aren’t interested in the novel that’s about to ensue, ‘skip and scroll’ and ‘foe’ are your friends. Cheers!
Jef's First Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- I’m really excited because
- I thought it was a really good idea but
- Physical attraction between us
- I mean I had so much fun with him
- And he says he likes me and all of that
- It has taken a little bit longer for us to feel that comfortable around each other but
- After today, like, it’s just so easy and so comfortable
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Jef by name or by something they did together.
- Jef and I walk in to the Chiswick House to have afternoon tea
- So going into tonight I need Jef to show me more than tell me that he’s into me
- Today Jef made me feel great
- Going into today I was really stressed out about the whole Kalon thing and Jef’s role in it and it made me feel really good that Jef stood up for me
- But Jef is really hard to read, maybe the hardest guy I’ve ever met to read. I don’t know what he’s thinking
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- I have a surprise for Jef
- I’m ready to get the hell out of here, stick one of those cakes in my pocketbook and roll on out
- I know I’m really into him
- I feel like there’s a lot of
- But I don’t, I don’t, I don’t know about on his side
- Even after all the Kalon stuff and everything, Jeff, I really like him
- I take things really slow and I worry that Jef takes things even slower than I do
- And, um, I’m excited to see kind of what happens
Arie’s First Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- And he’s also just super chill
- I just fell in love with his personality, he’s such a great guy and I had so much fun, I could be myself
- As far as life and fundamental issues
- Because that’s like my best relationship I’ve ever had in my entire life
- Like super serious roller coaster
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Arie by name or by something they did together.
- I chose Arie for this date because I know that he is very adventurous
- I built Arie up in my mind so much that I hope he doesn’t disappoint me
- Dollywood is just basically a big Southern amusement park and
- I grew up going to Dollywood, my cousins and uncles and aunts live not far from there
- My entire life I have been a huge Dolly Parton fan, she’s just such a cool lady, like, she speaks her mind and is her own person and she makes no apologies for that, she definitely marches to her own drum, she does not care
- It’s crazy to me that Dolly Parton even knows
- I love Dollywood and I still cannont believe that Dolly Parton wrote me my own song and then sang it to me
- Dollywood is definitely out of Arie’s element but Arie’s being such a great sport
- I’m obviously a huge Dolly Parton fan and so I want to take Arie
- On the stage there are 2 microphones and a paper that says write a love song and I am obviously not a song writer but I still think it would be fun for Arie and I to just have a good time with it
- I knew coming into this that Arie was wonderful
- I thought from day one that Arie reminds me a lot of my daughter’s dad Ricki
- Guys like Arie are really, really hard to find
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- I think that today’s date is going to be perfect for him
- He’s so good looking but he doesn’t look like the guy who tries to hard
- No pressure Arie
- I feel like he might have a little country in him
- Everyone who knows me knows I love me some Dolly Parton
- I don’t do rollercoasters
- This is my first time ever on, like, a real
- And I’m scared to death
- And like go check out where she sings
- It’s Dolly friggin Parton and I could’ve died, like I could’ve died, right there, just died
- Wears costumes everyday, like, fabulous outfits and she’s just, like
- I just think that’s so cool about people, I wish I could be more like that
- That I exist on this planet, much less took the time to write me a song.
- Dolly Parton was like, I mean, unbelievable
- But I also want to make sure that we’re compatible, not just having fun and being silly
- It’s really cool
- And so I feel like I finally found him and I don’t want to screw it up.
*** Note that we also see Emily make the statement “For me, this is the happiest place on Earth,” but when she says it she is in clothes from some other time in the filming process.

Jef’s Second Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- Just hanging out with somebody
- Saying that, like, he’s not ready to be a dad. I could not disagree any more. I think he would be a great dad because he’s just a big kid himself.
- I feel like I have worked really hard.
- And I know that I am really interested in him and I feel like
- That we’re finally at a place that we’re seeing beyond all the wonderful things I saw in him the very first night.
- It’s crazy but
- And it worried me a little bit
- To like me
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Jef by name or by something they did together.
- Today with Jef
- Jef has so much fun with everything. I can definitely put Jef in any situation and he can totally handle it
- I know that a lot of the guys have given Jef a hard time.
- Put on a puppet show and re-enact every highlight
- Walking into Jef’s office one day and seeing
- Jef and I found our way into this library with these intricate murals on the ceiling and
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- I’m just looking forward to
- That I like to be around
*** Note that we also see Emily make some statements in a black tank top that she was not wearing on her date with Jef. We also see her make statements about other guys during the filming process while she is in this tank top. As a result, we can only assume she is talking about Jef when she identifies him by name or identifies something they did together in these statements. The statements that are about Jef for sure are italicized:
- To get Jef to notice me
- Today I’m noticing a huge change in him, just the way he is toward me and I’m so happy
- I really can picture myself
- Pictures of our family and I love that
- We happen to have our marionettes with us so I figure what better place to
- From our relationship here
- When Jef told me he broke up with a girl because his parents didn’t like her I was a little bit surprised
- It’s a lot of pressure. I want his parents
Arie’s Second Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- That’s been weighing on my mind a lot.
- It’s weird to
- It kind of makes me feel a little bit insecure.
- Why was he not telling me.
- That scares me considering home towns are next week.
- I don’t really have a plan
- But it scared me a little bit because I’m like
- I just have so many things going through my head, I don’t know where to focus my thoughts
- It was everything I wanted to hear. It made me so happy. And I love that he said it tonight.
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Arie by name or by something they did together.
- Going into the date with Arie, I’m so excited
- I like to kiss Arie
- But, at the same time, I know something about Arie that he’s not telling me
- Hearing Arie tell me he loves me is like
- I love that he is so confident in the way he feels, and I don’t feel like Arie is somebody that just throws that around
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- I just want to go and have fun and pretend like it’s my husband and I going on vacation in Prague and this is what we would do
- I feel like I let him know that a lot, by kissing him a lot
- He doesn’t’ know that I know so it’s like
- Rub a dog that represents loyalty
- When I know in the back of my head that he has a secret that he is hiding from me
- Like, if he’s okay with hiding that he even knows you much less dated you and we’ve been hanging out for so long. I’m, like, what the #&!& else is he hiding. You know, he’s a good actor
- Yeah, I don’t know, I feel stupid you know
- Yeah, had I known it would be, like, cool
- Yeah, but I just wish that, I’m so glad you told me, don’t get me wrong, but I just wish that it had happened, you know, the first day
- Like, oh yah, Cassie and I have known each other forever
- It’s come up, “Oh Cassie my producer is so great, she’s engaged to Pete” and that would have been the perfect time, “oh yah I know Cassie, Cassie you’re engaged that’s so crazy” or this is Cassie my producer, “oh yah I know her”
- But it wouldn’t have been weird if someone had just said since day one, “hey we know each other” or even “we dated, we’ve known each other for a long time and he’d be great for you. I’d be, like, cool. Somebody’s setting me up. Cool. You know?
- I would have been, like, Cassie you missed out. Like, he’s a great kisser. Like, I mean I would , I totally wouldn’t care, I wouldn’t care, but now I feel like an idiot because I feel like I’m the only one and this isn’t, like, a production thing. It’s, like, a real life thing, you know? It’s not like it’s for the show
- I know something about Arie that he’s not telling me
- I wish he would have said from day one, “yeah cassie and I have known each other forever”
- I mean it was so amazing.
- Woah, like, it just got, it just changed everything.
- I can’t stop on one thought for that long
- It makes me that much more excited and really believe in all this
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.

Jef’s HT Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- I just had no idea what to expect and this is all way more beautiful than anything I had in my mind.
- I mean it’s just huge and almost overwhelming
- I always kind of wondered, like, is he
- I’m nervous because I don’t want to totally suck
- I really, I would like
- But I’m really extra nervous to meet his family
- Told me in Prague that he broke up with a girl
- I mean
- I am beyond nervous
- I mean honestly, parents usually love me
- So I’m gonna have to work my charm on a lot of brothers and sisters and it’s gonna be tough
- About the girls he dates, and I’m fearful that something might go wrong.
- On me
- But I hope that I was able to let him see how serious I take all this
- But, sitting down
- But, it feels perfect inside my heart and that’s what really matters to me
- I had the best day.
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Jef by name or by something they did together.
- I’m really excited to see Jef
- My first thought coming through here is, like, oh my gosh, Homestead Ranch, he didn’t tell me anything about his ranch
- Jef surprises me all the time
- I love that this is where Jef and his family spend their free time
- Can’t say I ever pictured Jef here
- I mean, I don’t know what I expected Jef’s hometown date to be like, but this is not it
- I have shot a gun before but
- I mean, who knew Jef and his skinny jeans
- Being around Jef makes me feel so confident and comfortable
- Because Jef
- And their all related to Jef
- I know that Jef
- If Jef’s family doesn’t like me, that means it could be the end of Jef and Emily
- I am intimidated by Jef’s family just because he was dating a girl and his family did not like her and so he broke up with her
- I feel like my conversation with Steve went really well. I think he was a little skeptical
- I love so many things about Jef. I love that he is so humble
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- All city because I’m not
- He’s a little bit more country than he wants people to know
- I feel really nervous
- Had such a good shot
- He looked so hot doing it
- Like, you know, drop the gun or something, look absolutely ridiculous
- To hit one or maybe come close to one
- I may or may not have pretended I had no idea how to hold a shotgun
- Because his family wasn’t a huge fan of her
- That stresses me out, that makes my stomach hurt
- Unfortunately, I’m not meeting Jef’s parents today
- Wow, there’s a lot of people in here
- I am, like, just really intimidated
- Puts a lot of stock into how his family feels
- That’s a lot, a whole lot of pressure
- With Jef’s sisters, it was a little bit intimidating
- But so like confident and kind of cocky which is such a contradiction
- perfect
Arie – HT Date
SECTION ONE: Those things not seen that could have been said about anybody and at any time during filming and then spliced in.
- Everytime I hang out with him
- Like, we always recover and it makes us that much better
- I’m just so excited to see him today
- I mean, I was just so excited
- I just wanted him to park the car so I could kiss him and tell him how much I missed him.
- And he looked so hot
- I’m just excited
- At first I was a little bit scared but then once he started going it was really smooth, like he’s a very smooth driver.
- Become one of mine too.
- My goal for today is going to be
- I know that
- Coming into this
- I feel like there was a little bit of skepticism
- Hopefully I let her see that
- I’m a guest in their home, what am I supposed to do.
- It’s like there’s an invisible wall
- I’m usually a really good people reader, like a pretty good judge of character but
SECTION TWO: Those things not seen, though she identifies Arie by name or by something they did together.
- I am in Scottsdale Arizona and I am just
- Pulling into the racetrack
- I feel like what I have with Arie is just awesome
- I have been going to the racetrack for years and it’s a place I have a lot of really great memories
- I know the racing world but I don’t know anything about Indy car
- I love that Arie planned this date to show me something that is
- Aries telling me that his parents are way different than other people’s parents and how nervous he is for me to meet them and
- Arie’s mom said something in Dutch
- I definitely felt like there was a different dynamic in Arie’s family than the others
- Arie’s mom, no clue, no clue what she’s thinking, I’m having a hard time understanding what she’s saying
SECTION THREE: Those things we see Emily say while in clothes from the date.
- So excited to see Arie
- We move forward even though we’ve had a couple setbacks which I think is the real test of a great relationship
- And seeing Arie going round the track
- A huge part of his everyday life, I love that
- Arie definitely looks stupid hot
- Honestly, if it was anybody other than Arie, I would not do it. But because I trust him so much
- I’m so excited to get to experience seeing Arie, like, so passionate about racing
- If that’s Arie’s passion, and if we work out, it will
- I don’t know what it could be, I don’t know what he could be so worried about.
- I would be crushed if his parents didn’t absolutely adore me
- His parents and his whole family mean a lot to him.
- Win Arie’s mom over and get her approval
- Arie made me a little bit nervous just because he was so nervous about how his mom was going to be
- I really do care about her son
- Like, I don’t know what to do
- It was really awkward
- I have no clue what’s going on in her mind
- My entire day, night, everything with Arie, I feel like went great
- Everything I felt was just confirmed
