As mentioned before, that quote lines up at the same spot on Ashley's promo as this quote by JP: "Fiji would be the perfect ending to my love story. My only fear is getting hurt again." (Last time, Ben was talking here on his own season.)

Going by the promo, this season is less about "who is F1?" and more about "Is he ready?" I wonder if one reason we were spoiled early is so that they don't have to fuss about hiding Jef if he is seen with her daughter. Of course, to the unspoiled TV viewer, he will be viewed as "too young" (skateboard mentioned a lot) while Sean is the "mature" Father Figure.

Arie, on the other hand, serves a different role as shown below...

Nevermind the fact that Emily said she was "ready to move on" ages ago. Fleiss must milk this continuing storyline to the bank!!

Our Cute Little Multi-Season Saga...

Brad's season: Brad vs. the ghost of Ricky (Brad kept talking about HIM in so many PIs)
Ashley's season: JP vs. the "ghost" of Bentley (yup, that was a corny one)
Ben's season: edited like season 9 of DALLAS (we can write that one off as not belonging to The Saga)
Emily's season: Jef vs. Arie the "ghost" of Ricky (even if Harrison insists Indy and NASCAR are not the same)

"I want to make this happen for her, Ricki (daughter not ex), MYSELF." (Jef is her Daddy now!)

What I find interesting the first night is personal interview with the Bachelorette after one on one time with a guy. During Ashley's season it was about JP. Ashley said she always thought she'd liked to be called cupcake by her husband but she didn't know if JP would be the one calling her that or not, yet! That is one thing I will be for sure watching for with the final 3 guys. Can't wait to see what they will leave in to show her love story from start to finish.

Wasn't there some WetPaint article that said Emily said something like, "Jef is so cool, I hope he thinks I'm cool too" ? So I guess that pattern fits

On episode #1, there is ALWAYS a meeting with lead shown. Trista discussed Ryan with Chris Harrison rather than in a PI. There has been a lot of discussion about 1 on 1 date timing (episode #3 being a favorite), type of Fantasy Date, etc… but I’ll leave that up to others to chart.


Comparing the Bachelorette seasonal promos…

Some editing tricks change over time, while others remain the same. Ali’s Roberto was the most over-exposed F1 in preview footage, while Jillian’s Ed the most under-exposed. JP has the most voice-overs.

Unfortunately, I don’t have Meredith’s or Jen’s to make this complete and some of my Ali material is based on memory, but here we go…

Opening scenes

Trista (January ’03): Montage of Trista shots with fleeting silhouette shot with Ryan, semi-visible Russ and up-front Charlie shots as Chris Harrison chirps “Once upon a time, there was a beautiful bachelorette searching for the man of her dreams…” Charlie is seen over word “dreams”.
Deanna (May ’08, pre-show one on youtube): Deanna asks “How is everybody?” as Jeremy looks in awe and Harrison says it is Deanna’s time to have her fairy tale. (cue stock car scene like Jillian’s and Ali’s)

Over ambulances, William says he hurt two people tonight and Ashley cries “I had no idea it would go this far” as JP carries her out of the rain… Pretty Dark Stuff.
Emily (May ‘12): she is alone dressed in black holding a rose. Earlier multiple roses are seen with rain and guys crying. Emily still has some “hang-up” or “past love” to get over before finding her happily ever after.

LOL, I don't think it's Joe. Or maybe I'm hoping it's not Joe. It sounds like a significant line, but watch it not even make it to air. It's bugging me I can't place who says the VO.
