Do the vo & previews usually dictate the actual story line if they are viewed objectively or are they used to hide what the true outcome is?

Depends on the season, but I believe we received more than one storyline with Ashley: one for the screen and another hidden by a few smokescreens.

If we did a poll on this forum regarding her season, roughly half here would firmly state that she fell in love with Bentley and only started to fall for JP later... as the On Screen episode-by-episode storyline suggests. The other half (myself included) would say JP was always a frontrunner and Bentley was never "the one", just an important one who interested her and upset her.

My "vibe" after re-watching the voice-overs, PIs (some shot in May when she sported that hair perm), rose ceremony positions, promos (including those pre-season), meet & greet photo positions and overall body language (when you turn off the volume and see who she touches the most and her facial expressions) is that Ashley had a much stronger connection with William than Bentley. He and JP may have been her "alternate top" choices before the comedy roast upset the apple cart. Note how Bentley's departure was timed for episode #3 right after the roast. Also Bentley repeats practically word for word key jokes-gone-bad spoken by William at the roast in episode #1's promo, but we never hear him say those in episodes #2 or #3. Instead we hear different ones.

For me, one of several key "hints" (in addition to what we see in the promos) to a possible story-behind-the-story comes in episode #5: "I leave here. I go back to NOTHING. Simple as that. You know, you sit back and you think about it and you wish you could do everything in your power to be a man and not a f*****g idiot. I feel I don’t deserve ANYTHING. I don’t deserve s**t. I’ll probably end up sliding back in that dark hole and stick the rock over top. I want to curl up in bed right now and not wake up."

... which is what Ashley starts to do after Bentley leaves if we believe that storyline. Only she left the vaseline on the bed-stand to amuse viewers.

Bet I confused all of you with the above. giggling

Oh well...

Back to Emily.

Oh lordy-lordy, the drama may not be quite as dark but she sure is crying up a storm with that post-Fantasy Dates tan of hers. In a PI obviously shot in May, not April, she discusses Arie not being relaxed enough on the Romeo & Juliet date. Oh... we will have fun examining those things on the screencap threads this week. Even Reality Steve was chuckling at how "off" the PIs were this past episode... tanned and cold-free Emily looked.

Something happens with Arie at the end of this that is upsetting not just to him, but also her and Jef. For some reason, either for Jef's sake (if he loses confidence along this "journey") or for Arie's sake... or somebody else altogether... Emily feels it is important to chirp how great a husband and father Jef will be. She still wants to meet her husband bad so there is still that question mark looming in the background. Yet Emily says she is very happy post show.

We have yet to figure out what exactly happens in that final rose ceremony... apparently the inclusion of Reid and Ed on Bachelor Pad is no coincidence. It may be feeding off of something that happens in Emily's season. Sean posted an interview online that RS discussed, clearly showing that Sean is quite happy and content post-show regardless of the outcome. I don't think he will be adding much to the finale drama.

Wow thanks for asking the time to respond!! From what I've read on the boards Reid was an F3 that came back and crashed a rose ceremony right? Was Ed F1 from that season or Did he come back in his season to? (sorry, like i said i havent always watched the show giggling

Makes you wonder why they would pull the same ending just to have it end up the same way? How does that help ther Bach Pad storyline.....if that's even hat happens. One thing is for sure, we've been told the ending but it still lent seem as easy as it should be knowing what we know. :greenman:

Ouch! Well... JP and Jef are the "Hope she's OK" guys this season.

This season does have similarities to Ashley's... and Trista's... and, finale-wise, maybe Jillian's. We shall see...

Joe got to ride a fancy car on his date in West Virginny. Just love those cute little parallels. Tee hee hee.

Pffft! What? "To think that I could do that to THEM"? How many guys are you dumping in the finale, Emily? Hopefully not Jefie. Oh... there will be TWO "broken hearts", just not two guys in the finale... three THIS season. Guess Arie does it differently this time. He doesn't crash the rose ceremony like Reid or arrive and get dumped early like Jeremy. Wonder if we will get THREE split screens as three guys prepare with Neil Lane goodies? Oh Neil will like hawking three brands on screen.

The guilt thing could go either way to me as far as the date she comes off and date she is about to go on. She could feel guilty about what she did on past date because of the first date connevtion or feel guilty about going on the next date knowing her and dolphin boy usually get hot and heavy.

Are these clips the LCD or FD? Also is there typically an indication of the order they film and show the Htd , FD and LCD ?

Fireworks you mentioned, we had fire works for Joe leaving, Jef, Arie, Ryan and Kalon then Arie again. I'm not understanding the significance you referenced. Joe they were after he left, the GD they implied via Arie it was as Jef moment and Aries is still undetermined.
