Awww thanks everybody. You HAVE to have a sense of humor to get through each season. No doubt the people we discuss here find it so amusing how we all take them so seriously... and some get pretty passionate here.

It still saddens me that there are no youtube uploadings of Ryan's date. All of that Southern Jive "Ooooh girl!" talk going to waste? C'mon! Constantine labeled Ashley's Ryan "cheese in a can", but this Ryan is way past his expiration due date. He not only deserves video recognition online, but also subtitles so we can all jive with him. I'm not sure if he watched too many Hee Haw re-runs as a kid or just loves laying that Southern-Boys-Love-To-Chase schtick too thick, but Emily can't keep a straight face when she is around him any more than I can.

Still not sure who talks about the leap of faith, but somewhere in there is fairytail. Jef talked about fairytail in his intro video, so I think that line matches Jef.

I was actually relieved that I wasn't on the big group date, because I'm hoping that I'll get the last 1on1 date. Now, if I don't get that 1on1 date, you know, I gonna be a little nervous.

It doesn't strike me as a competitive edit. TBH, it reminds me a lot of JP in Episode 2 of Ashley's season. He expressed the same frustration and concern about not getting a date.

Each promo since Jason's has three parts to it.
1.) the intro/travelogue/”I feel lucky to be given this opportunity” setup
2.) the Dark Center with conflict a-brewin’ and behind-the-scenes secrets that may not reach the actual episodes. (Cue thunderstorm sounds and rain in some of these... or just fights among people)
3.) following the most important white-out “flash”, we sometimes, but not always, get fantasy date and finale sneak peeks mixed with earlier episode shots. Either the lead or final one speaks in voice-over first, followed by comments by others and a bit of “tomfoolery” to keep us guessing the outcome. Most importantly, this third section addresses what the real goal of either the lead or the final one is.

Flashes occur when Jason is crying over the balcony, Jillian is alone at a station, Jake yanks the plug on the microphone, Ali chases Justin Rated R and says she doesn't want her heart broken, Brad says he won't chase some dream and get stuck, Ashley says she didn't think it would go this far as a silhouetted JP carries her in Phuket, Ben's Courtney laughs with her rose followed by Casey crying... and just before that quote we have spent many pages on this thread discussing.

OK, I'll cast my vote, JBF. I vote Arie - he has a higher pitched voice than Jef's and he speaks faster than Jef.
Plus, the significance of the VO over a moving car may be tied to Arie's race car driver background.

When the F1 speaks the VO, is it addressing the F1 or the lead's conflict? In other words, who is the one that is worried about taking a leap of faith here? Is it the F1 because he's the one saying it? Or could it be Em?

I think the more telling edited scene is the one you found, JBF, with all four of the F4 talking at the M&G after Tony's (glass slipper) intro. Chris was speaking and the camera zoomed in on each of the F4. I thought it was significant that (paraphrasing) the camera showed Jef when Chris said he may want something, but then the camera switched to Arie when Chris said he'll do everything in his power to get it. I think we should dissect that scene.

Some think this twitter has to do with Arie, who gets his hometown after Jef (this being the day inbetween).

Actually I suspect it relates to Jef in some way since the timing is right after her visit with him. It may be some unexpected drama... or maybe not. It could be a very good thing, but still unexpected. Sounds like Emly is bending some rules here.

Just adding this little tidbit from Emily's blog on people.com, which may have nothing to do with any of this... or it does since she appears to be trying to convince Jef about something here.

All day, I could tell just by looking at Jef that he was wondering what in the world he had gotten himself into. I immediately wanted to comfort him because I remember thinking the same thing on my first group date with Brad. I decided to give him the rose because I wanted him to give this whole experience a chance – I truly believe it can work if the right two people find each other.

Re-reading about Joe again in her blog, I guess I was putting a little too much stock into his date...

Joe made me laugh all day, said all of the right things, and couldn't have been more of a gentleman, but I knew that we were just in different place in our lives. I had watched the show before and seen people sent home on dates and always wondered, "How hard can it really be? You barely even know each other!" Let me be the first to say I was absolutely wrong!

I never imagined I would be doing the "ugly cry" on my second date, but it wasn't because I thought I was breaking Joe's heart by any means. We've all had someone tell us that we're not the one for them and it's never an easy thing to hear no matter how well you know the person. I just hated having to look at a guy that had done nothing wrong all day and be that girl. Knowing what a funny guy Joe is, though, he probably skipped to the limo and made the driver laugh just as much as he made me and all of the other guys in the house laugh.
