That line COULD be both Jef and Joe... it just shocks me how close a match Joe is, considering that I never would have thought he was a candidate before others mentioned him.

Also, so much about Joe relates to Jef storywise... as if his dumping was done BECAUSE Emily was starting to have feelings for Jef. The Butterflies was mentioned over a shot of Jef in episode #1 and she stated she DIDN'T have them with Joe.

I guess... I hope. Please help me here, folks!

Yay! JBF :* I have one question.Do you think It is important where that line was spoken from Joe. Williams was over Ashley and JP. Or you are observing all the pieces.

I am not sure if I am examining all the JIGSAW pieces... LOL! That line of William Holman "Ashley is definitely the kind of girl any man would want to marry" was put over JP on purpose and ONLY William is shown over all of Ashley's fairytale talk... as if he and JP were the only ones on her season who mattered.

Jef, in turn, says he "fell head over heels" over a shot of Joe in roughly the same spot on Emily's. Yet, maybe that line is less important than we think... I don't know yet.

The single most important line in every promo is the one that follows the white-out "flash".

I am really sorry to make you all suffer here, but we HAVE to go back into history... AGAIN...

Backtracking a full year to the William-heavy Ashley promo... ah yes, Ashley and her two frontrunners JP and William. Both got wedding dates. One said "yes" to the Las Vegas minister, even though he was NOT ready. The other was questioned if the wedding photos were making him nervous. "Smile!" "I am smiling! That's all I do!" No other guys, including our beloved Mister Sunshine Ryan, upset-in-Fiji Benny Boy or Big Bad Bentley mattered as much to Ashley as Jordan Paul and Bill Holman.

JP gave this line at the same spot as Joe/Jef's "Leap of faith" line: "Fiji would be the perfect ending to my love story. My only fear is getting hurt again." He, of course, was fighting many "ghosts"... Bentley being the On Screen one we see kissing her in Hong Kong, while what-ever-happened-to-William (featured prominently BEFORE the white-out "flash") is another. The whole promo is made for William (who stated on Men Tell All that he only watched episode #1) and JP is reassuring him that he found love, but doesn't want Ashley to keep fussing over William again and again. Towards the end we have Bentley "merging" with William, repeating his comedy roast lines word for word and Ashley crying AT the roast (not over Bentley). Therefore, that sob under the covers was not about Bentley as we were all bamboozled into thinking...

OK... backtracking to last season and another white-out "flash" in the promo...

Ben was speaking in his season over aerials of Switzerland, followed by shots of him and Nicki... um... OK. Nicki sure was pretty important in that promo... was she Ben's "Graham" we aren't supposed to discuss now that he and Courtney are making a go of it? Ugh! No! I will NOT analyze THAT season anymore! That trainwreck season gave me a massive headache!!!!!

Brad's promo has him stating, after the white-out "flash" when he declares he will not get stuck chasing "some dream", that he has fallen madly in love, but... of course Emily may not be loving him back. All the ladies fuss in voice-over that Brad's heart will be broken. Of course, THIS promo is one long plea of "Emily please take me back!!!!!!" This raises the key question: How many times did they split and get back together before that delirious therapy session labeled "After the Final Rose"?

I think Ali's promo had Roberto speaking in voice-over about fairytales or something... my brain is too fried to remember what was said over shots of Tahiti. In any case, THOSE two were happy together at their finale. Maybe they are splitsville now, but there was no trouble in paradise THEN.

After Jake Pavelka's white-out "flash" in January 2010, after our hulky pilot yanks the extension chord so we can't ask any further questions about what HIS ladies are NOT doing with HIM, he hops onto his motorcycle moaning that all he has is "hope". We then get many shots of him and Vienna blubbering all over the place.

Jillian's has her fussing about getting her heart broken half-way though... because Ed said he had to leave, after GirlFriendGate... and an exhausted Jake crying over the balcony after he realizes Wes wasn't the one with the girlfriend. (A drunk Wes put me in stitches in the Spain episode chirping "my acting days are over... hey, driver, why are we goin' around in circles?" After Jillian does her post-white out sobbing, she is aboard a choo-choo as each guy (starting with winemaker Jesse) take turns giving Ed the Big Lecture on "How To Treat Your Lady Right".

Jason's is so much fun. He is warned by Deanna not to pick the wrong gal (or so it appears to us thanks to the lop & chop edit)... and he is bawling over the New Zealand Balcony after he makes his boo-boo. After his white-out "flash", he is STILL telling us he wants to find somebody who is in "the same place in life" as he is. I am a daddy, y'know. In other words, despite that final rose ceremony footage supposedly with Melissa, he still hasn't found the one he wants to sweep off her feet! Yet Molly is still crooning every time she "hears his name", sooooooooooooo... All Is Not Lost Yet!

Oh Emily, Emily, Emily... what is going on here?

Jef fell "head over heels" over a shot of you dancing with... Joe. Joe gets to ride an old car in West Virginny, but it is not the same car pulling out of the garage as either Joe or Jef (we will never be 100% certain if they are "stitched" together here) speaks about taking that great leap of faith for her, Ricki and "myself". I wonder if Joe was called back to record that...

Is this promo for Jef?

Ashley's promo was for William, not really for JP or her. William is the one who let his insecurities get in the way and is leaving with regrets. He needed his dad's watch to remind him not to take life for granted.

Ben's was for Ben... I guess... again, he exhausts me. Maybe it is for Courtney. Who knows? Ben just wants to be happy. He doesn't want a mommy or wife. "Hi"

Brad's promo was a plea to get Emily to have faith in him, but he sure feels emotionally DONE!

Jake's season is too jumbled to figure out who it is for. Maybe Chris Harrison? Both Jake and Ben's promos have more crying scenes than the entire run of Little House On The Prairie.

Jillian's was a long lecture to Ed so he won't #$%@ing disappoint her. (Actually that promo was aired while filming was still taking place in Hawaii and Reid was making his crash-landing.)

Jason's promo is indirectly declaring that he made a mistake (crying over the balcony in a shot Molly and Melissa hadn't seen yet when this promo aired) and is banking that Molly remembers that it was HER that "spent the whooooooole night and came home in Jason's clothes".

Yup, Emily's promo has to be for Jef.

There is no other person she appears to be talking to. She JUST likes being "around" Arie, I guess. Dolly interrupts her date with Arie to remind her of TRUE love... whatever that is. Guess not with Arie. Sean a least helped restore her faith... or, rather, he is the last face we see before the "heavenly" ceiling. She NOW has faith that Jef is The One ready to be a husband and a dad since there is nobody else in that library with them... well, except the Peeping Tom cameraman. She says early on after Chris bays to the moon in his rage that she wants to meet her husband so bad... over you-know-who. Welcome to my castle! She fusses over kids but also says she wants "nothing more" to make her family complete over a shot of Jef twirling some younger Ricki-look-alike and her twirling Ricki-for-real. In other words, Jef is doing fine.

So what happened? Did he freak out during the hometown date and Emily freaked out... and Fleiss freaked out over twitter? Only Fleiss was still convinced Emily would continue her journey with LUV in her heart. Emily went her own way doing something-something. TODAY, Jef does look happy in the post-show sneak-peeks, so I am guessing that The Dilemna was in early May when this promo was edited together?

You people have a LOT of patience with me.

Wow, JBF! It's amazing how you can put pieces together and make everything connect. It makes total sense to me except for one part. In the last paragraph, you said that Jef and Emily freaked out... What does that mean?

Some think this twitter has to do with Arie, who gets his hometown after Jef (this being the day inbetween).

It's all good with @EmilyMaynard !!! I think she is going to complete her journey with love in her heart...

Actually I suspect it relates to Jef in some way since the timing is right after her visit with him. It may be some unexpected drama... or maybe not. It could be a very good thing, but still unexpected. Sounds like Emly is bending some rules here.

Just adding this little tidbit from Emily's blog on people.com, which may have nothing to do with any of this... or it does since she appears to be trying to convince Jef about something here.

All day, I could tell just by looking at Jef that he was wondering what in the world he had gotten himself into. I immediately wanted to comfort him because I remember thinking the same thing on my first group date with Brad. I decided to give him the rose because I wanted him to give this whole experience a chance – I truly believe it can work if the right two people find each other.

Re-reading about Joe again in her blog, I guess I was putting a little too much stock into his date...

Joe made me laugh all day, said all of the right things, and couldn't have been more of a gentleman, but I knew that we were just in different place in our lives. I had watched the show before and seen people sent home on dates and always wondered, "How hard can it really be? You barely even know each other!" Let me be the first to say I was absolutely wrong!

I never imagined I would be doing the "ugly cry" on my second date, but it wasn't because I thought I was breaking Joe's heart by any means. We've all had someone tell us that we're not the one for them and it's never an easy thing to hear no matter how well you know the person. I just hated having to look at a guy that had done nothing wrong all day and be that girl. Knowing what a funny guy Joe is, though, he probably skipped to the limo and made the driver laugh just as much as he made me and all of the other guys in the house laugh.

What's a white out flash??

Copied this from an earlier post...

Each promo since Jason's has three parts to it.
1.) the intro/travelogue/”I feel lucky to be given this opportunity” setup
2.) the Dark Center with conflict a-brewin’ and behind-the-scenes secrets that may not reach the actual episodes. (Cue thunderstorm sounds and rain in some of these... or just fights among people)
3.) following the most important white-out “flash”, we sometimes, but not always, get fantasy date and finale sneak peeks mixed with earlier episode shots. Either the lead or final one speaks in voice-over first, followed by comments by others and a bit of “tomfoolery” to keep us guessing the outcome. Most importantly, this third section addresses what the real goal of either the lead or the final one is.

Flashes occur when Jason is crying over the balcony, Jillian is alone at a station, Jake yanks the plug on the microphone, Ali chases Justin Rated R and says she doesn't want her heart broken, Brad says he won't chase some dream and get stuck, Ashley says she didn't think it would go this far as a silhouetted JP carries her in Phuket, Ben's Courtney laughs with her rose followed by Casey crying... and just before that quote we have spent many pages on this thread discussing.

I still think the person who said "Sometimes in life you have to take a leap of faith. I wanna make his happen for her, Ricki, and myself" is Arie. It totally matches his voice.

This is who I think it is also...It could be Sean..but I really don't think it's Jef...but like I said I will be sure after the season than I am spot on..

I definitely don't think it's Sean. The voice isn't nearly deep enough, and his voice is really the only one I can distinguish right now. I think he's the one who says "Emily's the girl I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with."
