I"m always amazed that the bachelorette can "open"/"close" doors with this many men at the same time. It would drive me bananas. Despite her obvious attraction to Jeff, that hot kiss with Sean later on sure looks like an "open" door to me.

If it was Jillian I would understand this open/close concept. Emily definitely surprises me though.

That was a rather mouthy kiss at that. Yeah, but Sean is "safe"... as that Wetpaint article states, Jesus is his homeboy. His cut bio introduction on the Warner site (oof! don't have it handy at the moment) has him going on and on about how long his parents and grandparents were married and is seen doing his push-ups so he can be ready for the next marathon a.k.a. Ames Brown style.

Intriguingly, he and Arie were the first two out of the limos (although not edited that way on episode #1, just in the "behind the scenes" rough-cut). They are polar opposites in the back row of the group shot. There are shots of them next to each other observing the other guys as if they know something others don't. I don't know...

Wish Sean hadn't said "I can step into any role..." I am trying hard to believe everything on this show is real.

Well I'm having a hard time believing that a guy who is really concerned about the cuts in his abs can step into just "any role" at the present.
But we shall see...

I tend to side with Jeff simply because of his PI's and VO's: he believes in the fairy tale, he has expressed concern for Emily's situation and he's not the most attractive/fit guy in the house. Maybe that's just me rooting for the underdog though. :greenman: Admittedly, as much as I enjoy the boxes on Sean's chest and Arie's pretty face, i'm skeptical that they are really ready to commit. JMO!

Granted, we're only one episode in, and who knows where the edit will go, but I don't think caring about fitness (and having rockin' abs) = big ego any more than caring about your hair = being vain.

I'd also have to take issue with the idea that Jef is ready to be a husband and stepfather, but Arie and Sean aren't. Arie's relationship with his ex and her kids indicates someone who obviously is open to that idea, as I can't imagine he's date a single mother if he wasn't. And the pictures of Sean with his niece and nephew make it pretty evident that he loves kids and will be a great father one day. Jef also seems to be great with his nieces and nephews. From where I'm sitting, they all look like viable husband/stepfather/father prospects to me.

ITA - I feel like most guys that age who are halfway decent with kids would make a good father/stepfather... it just takes the right woman to bring that out in them, IMO :Smiley:
