Ladies, ladies, Ryguy is taking over like Em's the pigskin. It's in his nature :) Seriously, though, I imagine that he was "gently advised" to keep Emily all to himself by some people whom we all know and love to hate.

I remember JBF felt strongly that Nicki was F1. We were all confused right up to the very end! Well played, MF, well played!
Yup, they sure took us on a ride! I think Nicki... and Kacie and Lindzi were the ones Fleiss was fantasizing Ben with, rather than Courtney. Even dumping the Ryan-Trista guitar rift twice with Nicki after dumping it with JP, Brad's Emily, Roberto and Vienna for four seasons straight... and having them watch a wedding! Talk about smoking up the smokehouse.
If it was so wonky in the last few seasons, what proved to be most reliable in sleuthing F1 - I wasn't around for it.
The ONLY final one pattern that is consistent...
They don't care if you like that person since he or she is not recycled unless they break up with the lead like Jen and Emily. If they provide drama, you will get it. Ed kept falling all over Jillian drunk and we saw it in full Technicolor at "Men Tell All". If they are too-good-to-be-true, like JP, then they must be too-good-to-be-true because they tried their darnest to make JP look like a "mighty jealous" in Taiwan and it didn't work well. Then again, nothing worked hiding JP's status that season. The bad-bad-bad wedding photo shoot with all of those loud-loud-loud voice-overs apparently was so good-good-good that Ames' jaw was literally on the ground watching Ashley vibrating in excitement that "these are going to be the worst wedding pictures" and Lucas just gave the "where have you been, Ames?" chuckle.

Love is in the air!!! And hardly any mosquitos...
MOSQUITOS = VILLAINS
The drama is the jealousy.... mancry... etc
that is IMO why emily is upset and throw a fist in her gold long dress with her bum hair

Does anyone think that the VO from Em "If I was a single 26 year old, it would be different, but I'm not"..might be in regards to Arie? I was thinking it might be, but it might just be a general statement she is making about the season.

I was thinking bout that too. I'm trying to remember when the promo was out whether they've done with FD or not. Anybody know at what point was filming when the extended promo was first shown?

That line really had me confused...
First of all, we know what SHE is thinking with that line...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Beth Kwiatkowski: Good. So, you said in a recent interview that you plan to be more reserved this season than prior Bachelorettes and that you didn't want to kiss a lot of guys and hoped there would be no hot tubs during this season. So, did you express those wishes to the producers and did you feel like your requests were granted or that you - you know, your wishes were respected?
Emily Maynard: Well, honestly, I didn't - I didn't even say it as a, you know, protective barrier around me that there weren't going to be any hot tubs. I just said it in general like, you know, if I was a single 26-year-old girl without a daughter back home, I'd probably be doing the same thing all the other Bachelorettes did too.
Now... here is where things get weird. The editors are using that line to imply something else. They make it appear as if she is not quite over Ricky and doesn't feel "single"... even dressed in black carrying a rose! That is laying it pretty thick.
I seriously DOUBT she is even thinking of Ricky all that much this season, but production want A Story here.
Either way: being a single mom with a daughter or not feeling "single" for whatever psychological reason is a wonderful excuse not to make whoopee with a crying Doug... or any other guy hiding his face because she made their speakers go boom-boom and hoped to make it past second base.
Then again... she is clearly enjoying herself in that library scene... in a way Doug can only fantasize about.
Brings back fond memories of "my heart is with Bentley" and Lucas saying "your type, honestly, is Bentley", while Ashley gets all wet under the Phuket umbrella. I am just dying to know the guys' initial reactions when all of her scenes with JP unfolded on screen. "So that is what we were missing while we were busy fighting with Ryan!"
Emily got some good pointers from Ashley... Jef is struggling to "open up" so she will get him to "open" while keeping the "Closed" sign for everybody else with some "excuse".

It most definitely could be. It really depends on what she meant about that. If she is talking about someone ready to be a dad, then I don't since he dated a woman with 2 children for I think a couple years. However, she could mean many things by that comment. So it really could be about anyone, including Arie.
I am so glad you were not scared off by a few people. I hope you will continue to share your opinions, even in the Arie thread.

I orginally thought it might be about Arie but I'm now wondering if it is about Chris. At 25, I don't know if Chris even knows where he wants to do in life. (Career wise anyway.)

I think the F4 must have shown Emily they were ready to be a parent. Otherwise, they would have been eliminated earlier in the season. JMHO
