The immediately family of the rejectees always know. (we have heard this time and again in past seasons).
His sister had to force Sean to go shopping with them. Why would she have to do that ? He was probably not in the mood in the 1st place.
I too hope he did not get too invested but hey, Chris did too and he was F4. So it is possible.

It didn't sound like he had to be forced to me:

On Saturday, Sean did what every reality TV personality does on the weekend...went furniture shopping with his big sister and her family :). Not quite sure how we roped him into that (I'm pretty sure a certain 3 year old and 2 year old being there had something to do with it), but he went and we had lots of fun.

I imagine if he was so down in the dumps, he just wouldn't have gone at all. I think it's too big an assumption to believe he's wallowing in misery just because we haven't heard much from him or seen a lot of him post-filming, especially since he wasn't a big social media person before filming. I also don't think we can draw any conclusions from Shay's blog. She posted one time in conjunction with Episode 1 and one time in conjunction with Episode 2. Why would (or should) she post any more often than that? I guess it's notable when contrasted with the exuberance of Jef's family, but the contestants' families are usually pretty quiet once the show starts airing.

I wouldn't mind seeing him at least meet Nicki! She was a fave of mine... she lives in TX, family seemed great, and so far from what I've sen her biggest failure in judgement was falling for Ben! (probably should :hidingchair for saying that)
