Sorry if this was mentioned already, but I just happened to read the last couple posts.

The major factor we have to consider when discussing Chris Harrison's "Ones To Watch" is that Ben's were posted for the December 16th issue of Entertainment Weekly, AFTER production wrapped and he was engaged to Courtney. The fact that Nicki was both the only one of the top 4 not on the list and also the last to be identified by Reality Steve is quite mysterious. Constantine may not have been "one to watch", but his hometown was well documented early on, in contrast to JP whom Steve couldn't name prior to the official announcements.

Regardless... Ben's season was already in the can when these were announced.

Emily's is like Ashley's in that the final rose ceremony hadn't taken place yet. My "vibe" here is that Jef's description of "He’s an average-looking guy who will stun Emily with his personality and charm. Women are more apt to give a guy with humor and charisma a chance than a guy will." echoes the descriptions for BOTH Ben F. in Ashley's and Kacie B. in Ben's. We are supposed to root him and see his story completed, if not on Emily's season then later.

Therefore, I am guessing that Emily decided by hometowns that Jef was not the one for her, but production liked him enough to "test" audience response. Ryan Park may have initially been planned for the lead, but the fact that Chris Harrison was cooing about Ben (women would fall for him) around May 2nd of last year suggests that he was pretty much on equal footing for the role. This, mind you, was while Fantasy Dates were starting and both Ben and Ryan (as a returnee) were in Fiji with Constantine and JP.

Two of Emily's final four, Chris and Sean, aren't listed and this could potentially indicate that one is the "JP" and the other the "Constantine". However, with Courtney making the cut last time even AFTER she got engaged to Ben and despite JP not making it previously, we can equally assume both could be "Constantines" and "Nickis" here.

I do find Arie's description most intriguing:

No mention at all about a "connection", just race cars and Ricky. We the Bachelorette Geeks on this forum see him as a contender, but Joe and Jane Doe reading EW don't. All they are reading is Emily's interest in car racing, not Arie.

This is ssssoooooooo slick in its wording. We are focused on the producers being "heartless" casting a race-car driver. Twice we see the word "died". Twice we see her ex mentioned. All key words the casual reader will have in the back of their minds watching THIS relationship on TV.

Good point JBF! It will be interesting to watch. And it almost seems like CH didn't really offer info, but was certainly asked a question about Arie.

I posted this in the Chris thread, but since you brought up "wording" I thought I'd bring it over here

I've been looking over the press release for the premiere, and it's interesting the descriptions that are used. This is the sentence that talks about Chris: "One handsome man wins her over with a pair of custom bobble head dolls." Chris is also called handsome again when talking about the Luke Byron date. He is the only one to be described as "handsome" and to "win her over".

The only other one close is Jef, "soft spoken and self confident ways impress her."
All the other descriptions are all about he guys and how they feel, "eager to charm", a "confident man", "one lucky man", "extremely nervous bachelor"

Well, Chris is out. I don't think the wording rules out Jef. If I had no clue who the F3 were, I'd say with some confidence Ryan wasn't one of the, from his description.
Sean having the 5th HTD is nagging at me, I just cannot imagine he is the F1 with only one 1:1. If that's the case, then her F1 was mentioned in the 5 to watch (Jef or Arie).

Whatever words he used, Chris let us know that Ryan got "under the guys' skin." If you remember, we were having a hard time understanding how Ryan - from what we could see - was an irritant. He seemed like a great guy, and he really was. He just was too "on" for all of the guys in the house.

I know y'all think I'm crazy, but I still think Chris returns and will be her F1. I think the F4 RC was a "Brilliant Disguise", (the Bruce Springsteen song that Millsy tweeted about) as a way to throw off RS from spoiling and a way to control the public leaks until they could get to a more secure location. There's a lot of little circumstantial things that when you add them up I think it's too much to ignore, but I guess we'll see :greenman:
