I think we ought to do a pros and cons list for Ben and JP. I know someone already started one I think, but I can't find it now.

F2 CLUES LIST Updates in red:

Ben
- Love_Me's source has told her that Ashley is engaged to Ben

- a facebook post made by someone who lives in fiji stated that Ben was spotted at Vomo (if true, this places him in the F2)

1-on-1: JP Rosenbaum. Low key date I believe that is just dinner at Ashleys place. JP gets a rose.

For those who look at edit (Bloomers, I am looking at you), do you think Ben has gotten just enough of an edit...we know who he is, he has had some nice moments, but he is not in your face.

At work, and with people I know, they are all liking JP & Ryan right now. Reminds me of Kiptyn & Reid.

If I were a regular viewer I don't even think I would be able to pick Ben F out of a line up, Ben C has been shown to have more interaction with Ash thus far.

You don't know BenF by name, but you would recognize his face. The camera keeps darting over to him, and we are getting VOs from him as if he is going to tell the story. It would be like, "Oh, yeah, him....now I know who you are talking about. He has a distinct look with the long hair and close-set eyes (?). Is that what it is about his eyes? I can't why put my finger on what it is.

What we do next, in my opinion, is to watch JP's date not only for interaction, but we need to listen to the kinds of statements that he makes. Now, in editing I have learned that the producers prompt them all to make some of the same kinds of statements; however, we won't hear (edited) the same kinds of statements from all of them.
For instance, it may be typical for guys to make very confident - even over the top type statements - but usually it is the F2 that is heard making bold statements.
While both Chris and Roberto made game winning type statements that would be common to athletes, we heard Chris say, "You have to bring on your confidence. She's looking for a husband. I think I have what it takes. She's my girlfriend, now."

Roberto was edited as saying on his date, "It's important to have somebody to go through life's situations with. I am hopeful it will work out. I think I could be the guy in the end."

Let's listen to what JP says as well as to see what conflict is presented. There needs to be a conflict to be resolved. That was a huge part of the F1 Chantal situation last season. While Emily had the rising storyline with a conflict to be resolved, Chantal's storyline had stalled out because there was no problem/conflict to be solved.

Likewise, we will need to see if there is a problem/conflict which presents itself with BenF before too long. Episode 5 is really too late for his storyline to begin developing....

It seems like in seasons past it was said that the F2 is usually heard talking about the lead and the lead is talking about the F1. Meaning IF JP is F1 Ashley will be talking about him and IF Ben is F2 he will be talking about Ashley while Ashley is talking about JP. Is that how it usually works with the F1 and F2 or am I just making things up in my head again?

Speaking of Ben F's wine business and promoting it. I just watched the video with former contestants that Jesse C. made, discussing Ashley's show and mainly, the guys on it.

The M & G and Ben F. wine toast was mentioned. Jesse Kovacs said he asked TPTB if he could bring a bottle of his wine, from his winery that he made, and do a toast with Jillian and was told it costs big $$$$$$ to get that camera tv time to promo his wine, so he couldn't do it. Now is Jesse K. lying ~ I have no idea, but why would he make that up now??

I don't mean to imply Ben F. had ulterior motives or anything, and nothing wrong with trying to get some air time for a product you have worked so hard to be successful.

Love_me. You only reported what a source told you. NO different that others who report things from sources. Sometimes the sources are right, sometimes they are not. Even with RS sources. That in no way reflects on you or your fantastic sleuthing abilities.

Please, don't feel bad about anything. You did post the disclaimer and clearly stated it was what you were TOLD, not necessarily how you FELT from your own (and others), great sleuthing on here.

Years and seasons ago, something similar happened with Matt Grant and a "source". I can't for the life of me remember the details but it had to do with a LCD helicopter ride, I think and which of the F2 was in the copter--Chelsea or Shayne. The details aren't important, the point I'm trying to make, sources --witnesses can and do get things wrong. It doesn't mean anyone--Love_Me, RS or anyone should be tarred and feathered. It's just the way it goes. And seriously, even when sources have been spot on, people still don't believe it and debate it. So what's the difference? Nothing should be taken to heart.
Love_Me you did a great job by finding this source...it's not like he tracked you down and found you!
And the good thing is we still have the season to have fun.
