I feel the same way - I want Love's source and RS to be on the same page - if it's conflicting it's only going to pit Ben F fans against JP fans and we all know how that goes.......it'll prolly happen anyway, but with a clear F1, maybe less so

of course I'm assuming JP is in the F2 - is this still speculation, or do we know?

Well, I am going to post the following information that they shared with me just now.

*Disclaimer* I am sharing what I was told because this person has been truthful so far and I believe what they have told me. Now there might be a chance they are wrong because even I am a little skeptical, but I wanted to share it just in case it turns out to be right. If I am wrong or the communication was not what it should have been that is alright with me.

He said Ashley and Ben are engaged. I asked them again just to be sure. Are Ben and Ashley really engaged and he said yes.

You know, what could be happening - if it is - is the same thing that happened during Brad's season. The hard evidence pointed to an F1 Chantal until the Anquilla date when the tide began turning, so to speak, right before the HTDs.
I kept saying that even though Chantal was standing in Roberto's spot in the episode RCs, the edit - which is formulated after the fact did not support an F1 Chantal ( extremely nebulous edit). The hard evidence held right up to Anquilla.
During the Anquilla episode, the edit could not have been more clear, though, who began to take the F1 lead, and while they still tried to mix up some of the hard evidence, there was enough of it to support an F1 Emily conclusion, starting with Brad's blog which was crystal clear.

What we may find is that at this point in the process JP is the intended F1. He exited last (big visual impression), he has that 3rd Ep. date, and there is a definite chemistry connection. She is obviously attracted to him.
They are playing up BenF a lot for an F1. He appears to be an F2.
However, we see that Ben and Ashley have an easy connection so far, and that late (temple) date followed by another close 1-1 might be enough to move him into the lead.
He may be the one that she was referring to when she said in an interview, "I had a frontrunner, but that went back and forth," which implies that it might not have ended as it started.

What we need to watch in JP's 1-1 date are the comments that he makes. If he is F1, they will not let him make too many over the top confident or brash type statements. For instance, ChrisL said on his date, " She needs a husband, and I am the man for the job," which just sounds like guy talk, but in Bachelor edit it is usually too " lock your thumbs in your in your suspenders and boast" talk.
It doesn't matter that a producer suggested the line, etc....
Usually another F2 line is "I feel like we are a couple now," or "She is my girl, now..."


However, I am still really confused at how they are editing BenF. They are letting him back on social media early. They spotlight him on the "picks", etc. He is being treated as an F2. Maybe they learned, though, that the viewers want to love the F1 - that is overall what works best for the franchise - so they will get their drama elsewhere rather from the F1, and just let the fans love the F1. :greenman:

What timing ... nice job sleuthing Love_Me! I must admit I've been rooting for JP, but this early scoop will help Ben to grow on me (if they finally show him interacting with Ashley).

I have to say I started out thinking it was Ben but after episode 2, the chemistry was so intense with JP plus the lack of 1 on 1 time with Ben made me start doubting. Really, really hope they show some kind of connection with Ben next week. I want to see Ashley get all flustered with him as she does with JP. I do think the tide will turn from the orphanage date on, if it's Ben.

I like Ben, but I'm already feeling sad for JP. :(

Some observations I have which lead me to think Ben as F1 is true:

1. She is seen sitting next to him in the cocktail parties when the whole group is together....I noticed specifically last night's as well as the one in Vegas and I think there have been other occasions.
2. When she came into the mansion to pick up William she said something about it being nice to see them in regular clothes. Her line of sight went right to where Ben is seen standing (JP is sitting at this point.) Ben had on stripped shorts and a dark blue tee.
3. He seems to "track" her with his eyes and is edited watching the stairway when she is talking to Jeff. Also he is watching her dance with Nick and gives them a "toast" with his glass.
4. Fleiss had a tweet saying "Ben has dainty handwriting"..now maybe not the best endorsement, but how does Fleiss know Ben's handwriting...I am imagining a case of Evolve wines and a thank you note maybe..
5. He gets why it is important to her to be a dancer. Maybe this is how her F1 supports her to be her best.
6. When she made the comment about "he has all these things going on and he is so modest"..we see Ryan P. However, I wouldn't necessarily call Ryan modest. Yet someone on here posted that Ben has not shown any ego.
7. I am anxious to see their kiss at dinner following the temple tour. I know Ali said she only kissed Roberto with open mouth. Not sure what Ash's style is, but both she and Ben's lips are parted.

I may be way off base, but as a Ben fan, this is what I see.
