The difference is I can't think of a contestant who was on any of the previous Bachelorette seasons TPTB would be eager to make the Bachelor 17.

So Ryan might eventually be their front runner if he isn't Emily's F1.

Is Ryan going to have the same problem that TBow would have had if TBow had agreed to be the Bachelor? Ryan is obviously a practicing Christian. We know that because we heard him give that long testimony to those kids where he spelled it out in no uncertain terms. Now it does appear that he has a drink in his hand, but that doesn't mean he is much of a drinker, and we found out somebody in one of the recent seasons faked it. She/he had something else in the glass all the way through.

Ryan will of course be willing to wine and dine Emily, but then Emily is one woman. Would Ryan be willing to kiss and and carry on - even lead-on and come near to lying to - a bunch of women? That is not Christian behavior, and if Ryan understands that is what will be expected of him - which I don't know that he will understand that side of it - will he be willing to compromise himself? Are his standards that high? I know that Tim Tbow's were which I think is one reason he was laughing at even the idea.

I almost hate to bring this up, but does anyone else remember Jake talking about how his church nominated him to be the Bachelor and how he was going to "restore some sense of decency and morality" to the franchise? :puke: And believe me, I have no interest in drawing a parallel between Jake and Ryan, since at this point in time, Ryan is about as appealing to me as Jake was unappealing :vomit: . But unless Ryan is a practicing virgin, who doesn't believe in even kissing before marriage, I don't think he will have a problem if he becomes the next lead. That said, I also don't think we would have to worry about the producers encouraging him to go skinnydipping, darn it! :hidingchair

He could be a gentleman in his actions and not be expected to paw everyone, but it would be the lying and the deceiving that might be hard for him. Although and apparently not many were deceived on here last season, Ben was actually the worst lead I had seen in all of the seasons for saying deceptive things. I wrote down what he said, and by the time we got to the HTs, in retrospect considering the F1, he was out and out lying in the things he said to the others. Now I well understand the premise, and I sure as heck know that he was following the directions given to him by the producers, but nevertheless, Ben even threw around "love" with Lindzi when we know it was not true, and he said all kinds of things about and to Nikki. I just think Ryan would be rather miserable within himself behaving in that manner or being forced to do so. That simply would not be "honorable" to him.

Who knows what is actually going on with Jake? I don't. no no

I can't begin to speak into that one because I don't understand it. What is really true about that, and what isn't? We never heard anything directly out of his mouth about his personal relationship with Jesus Christ and his Christianity, so it is hard to decide on Jake. At least that is the way I look at it. Whatever is truth in Jake's life at this point, he is the one who has to come to grips with it. :greenman:

I am going out on a limb and guessing that the F2 are going to be Ryan and BHG. They are who I think will be F2/not who I want to be F2

I agree. And I think that it is possible that BHG is F1 due to the fact that his identity is such a closely guarded secret, or seems to be.

I think BHG will be f1 due to the fact that his first date was so private that no one can get any info on him. Compare that to the very public early dates with Chris and Ryan.

I can also see BHG being F1 because we can't seem to find much about him. Just like last year with JP. He was hidden for the longest time.

OT Does anyone else think Big Hairy Guy when you see the acronym BHG? No??? Just me??? I just keep forgetting that it stands for Blue Hoodie Guy....
