Sometimes gut instincts of what is known or perceived about the Bachelor/Bachelorette helps. For instance I did not sleuth De's season but I knew that she was more interested in her public career than being a mother, so Jason was out when it was the final two.

That's just it! There isn't a "wrong place' except for the NO Discussion Threads, and I just blundered again and posted there, so please don't think you made a mistake. I was just suggesting if we all posted about this topic in one thread, we could find each others' posts, read them, and answer them more easily. It would make our posting experience very enjoyable. However, it is only a suggestion and certainly not concrete. :Smiley:

Hi Blondie Likewise, although the boards fell head over heels in love with Reid during Jillian's season, 2 things were going against an F1 Reid in my objective opinion. #1 was that Reid did not have a scheduled 1-1 until the 6th episode. In a long season, this just did not make sense to me. If Jillian had "seen" Reid as her potential F1, she would have been after the producers to give Reid one of those earlier 1-1s.
Second, I put great stock in the interviews that were given by Jillian's close friends on Canadian TV stations and articles. Her best friends - who had known her for years on end - were saying that her type and/or experience was Ed. They never deviated from that. They would be complimentary toward other guys, but they singled Ed out as her "type."

Also, occasionally media articles will give away a telling clue or clues. Andy Baldwin's father came right out pre-season in a media article and said that Andy preferred to date either ethnic or Asian women; however, it was one or the other, and when I saw all the emphasis he placed early on Tessa, I figured Tessa was F1.

Again, Ben made it clear in Media articles what kind of woman he wanted, and Courtney was the one who fit the description better than any of the others in the F4.

As much as I think Doug seems like a cool guy, I agree, I think Ep 4 is too late for a F1. I think it will be someone that she had a chance to show around her home turf.

I have it written down somewhere, but I think most of the F1's have their 1-1's during episodes 3 & 4. A 1-1 after episode 4 is not a good sign of being F1, even though Sarah B was Charlie's F1 and her 1-1 was during ep 5.

I think most acknowledge Deanna's season as the first where the editing and patterns started to repeat (as did the recycled leads!), and from that point on, the F1 has had their first 1 on 1 on episode 3 the majority of the time (Ed, Vienna, Roberto, Emily, JP), so that is really the only pattern of any consequence. The F1 has gotten a date on episode 2 twice (Melissa, Courtney) and on episode 4 once (Jesse, considered to be by default). You can also add in that Molly, who ended up being F1, got her date on episode 4, and Graham, who was allegedly Deanna's real pick for F1, got his on episode 2. So getting a date on episode 4 is not as good a sign as getting it on episode 2, but both pale in comparison to the advantage of getting it on episode 3.

Of course, patterns are made to be broken, and we may yet see a season where the F1 will come from a later episode solo date, but that would most likely indicate a huge shakeup occurring (frontrunners dropping out, disagreements, or major deception most likely), and I doubt any of this will happen on Emily's season.

Personally, I think it's way too early to make an educated guess on who is F1, because I have to actually "see" the interaction of each guy with Emily. But based on "resume" alone (at least what we know of it), Ryan appears to be the best fit by a wide margin, IMO.

The tweeting producers have indicated only a little drama here and there, and they haven't indicated anything like what happened during Ashley's season with William, Bentley, and/or any other front runners.
I am getting the feeling that they are going to have to create some drama from house interactions because we haven't heard of much otherwise - just a little here and there at the cocktail parties.

First, all we can do is speculate at any time, and certainly all we can do right now is speculate since we don't even have the edit; however, why shouldn't we have fun and start speculating at this point?
It isn't hurting one single thing to speculate at this point, and it is bringing enjoyment.
It might be fun in retrospect to see how right or how wrong we were at this point with what info we do have in nailing Emily's choice. We are trying to pick a winner based on past knowledge which is the same thing as far as I can tell that other people do when they try to to pick winners on sports teams, etc.


Therefore, I say, "Go for it!" Throw out what you think using your best logic, understanding all the while that with this show sometimes logic will blow you right out of the saddle!

I think you could say in an unscientific poll that the women here would choose Ryan as the F1

Ryan is attractive and comes with a nice "package" :Nod: , but call it intuition when I say looking at he and Emily dancing, he was not totally focused on her the entire time as she was on him. There were times he was staring off into the crowd...off into space...??? Why?

Personally I will hold out making any judgments since we do not know with certainty who had the 1 on 1 at Dollywood and the more than likely 1 on 1 "quality" time at the Greenbriar. Important episodes with missing characters.

So even though I cannot say who I think will be F1 based upon above, if I had to choose someone at this moment based solely upon hearsay and photos, I would stand on the side of team Doug. :hidingchair

I agree with everyone in that it may be too early to pick a F1, but it is still fun to speculate!!!! I think Ryan, Chris, WV guy, and Dollywood guy have the best chance at being F1.

I also agree with Noob, it will be fun to look back on this thread during Finale day and read through all the comments! (I think I am getting ahead of myself!)

I'm not sure who I think will be F1 but I know who I want to be F1. Lol But I'll just keep that to myself until I see who Em really likes.

I also like to see who everyone thinks will be F1 so I really like this thread!
