Yes the final 1 is always shown to having a chat with the lead on the first night.

The F1 whose M&G interview interview was conspicuously absent was Melissa's. In retrospect, I figure that was due to the F2 to F1 flip-flop that took place in real time while the season was still being aired. In the producers' eys, it was no longer important to show how Jason initially connected with Melissa because within such a short time he went over to F2 Molly. Therefore, they focused on Molly's M&G time.

I thought so too. I don't see what would be the point of leaving out the lead and F1's first chat on night one. lol

Not only will F1 be shown in conversation on the first night, but more than likely, every episode will continue to build on their relationship. Lindzi was ignored for 2 episodes straight, so I knew she was out of the running after that.

Yup. That and the conflict, both the personal conflict of the F1 and that of the couple together signals the F1. That's how some of us knew during Brad 2.0 that Emily was his F1 before the Blondie announcement.

I'm not 100% sure of the timing, but I believe that the first episode aired (and obviously was edited) a couple weeks before Jason and Melissa officially ended it, although Jason may have already contacted producers to let them know he was having doubts by then. But I also recall hearing that Melissa hardly even spoke to Jason at the M&G, other than introducing herself out of the limo. Remember that she admitted on some TV special that she initially wasn't even attracted to Jason, so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't make much of an effort to get time with him that first night, even though he gave her a rose anyway, probably based on the physical attraction he had to her. So perhaps the reason there was no footage aired of the two talking had more to do with the fact that there was little to air?
