Well after thinking about it, I am going to go with my original thought of Ryan and Chris f1/f2. Not neccessarily who I want but who I think it will be.

Considering they still have almost a month of filming left before FRC, a better question might be, do you think Emily knows who her F1 is yet?

Ashley said she was 95% sure going into hometowns... I think this second round of 1 on 1's is going to tell Emily alot. Like most leads she is probably trying to figure out if the initial connection she had with some of these men is still there.

It will be interesting to see how long she keeps Doug around since she knows he has a kid waiting for him at home.

Do you think it would be her choice to let him go early if she knew he was not the F1? Producers might want to keep him there longer. We know it seems as though Emily has a lot of say this season though. :Smiley:

I think if she knows Doug isn't going to be F1 she should let him go before hometowns (when she would meet his son) ... or maybe she likes Doug but isn't sure how it is going to be with his son, then that she needs to figure out during hometowns. If she can't handle it, she should let him go at F4.

But I don't think if she already has someone else in the 90% sure F1 bracket ( much like Ashley and Ben did) she should keep Doug around until the end. The sooner the better in that case. Like someone else said, I don't think they are looking for another single dad Bachelor so no need to keep him if he's not going to be Emily's choice. All JMO of course.

Good points! I would hope she would let any of the guys with children go before HTD's if she has no interest in choosing them. I just remember Jason going to the F2 and people thinking he has to be the F1 because De wouldn't take him all the way to the F2 and not choose him. But maybe you're right and they aren't interested in another single dad for next bachelor. :Smiley:

This brings back so many bad memories of DeAnna's season with respect to Jason . I just hope that we viewers are not treated to more of the same. Much as I love what little I have seen of Doug, I too would hope that she cuts him (or any other single father) rather than keep him on while she determines for 100% who her F1 should be. I would like to think more of Emily but with this show I have learnt my lesson that the more drama unfolds on national TV the better the ratings are .

As of now I'm leaning towards BHG as F1 simply because my choices are between Ryan and BHG and feel that Ryans date was too public in the 2nd episode. However, they are still way away from even the F4 stage so its still anyones game really.

Just to keep in mind, it may not have been DeAnna's choice nor Emily's this season if it happens again.

I agree. And despite it being the compassionate thing to do (and Emily would perhaps be more sensitive to this than Deanna was, because she is a mother herself), the producers also probably prefer having somebody with a child (who they can then exploit for ratings with a "touching" reunion, complete with a "running and hugging" scene) getting a HTD. Whether Emily has enough sayso to get the producers to go against what they believe to be their own best interests, or whether she will even put up that much of a fight (or should be expected to) when she will have so much on her emotional plate herself by that point, remains to be seen.

The reason I ask was because we didn't "see" much of Roberto and JP prior to their seasons and they were the eventual F1s. This probably has nothing to do with the leaked stuff for Emilys season but you never know.

I think social media specifically Twitter was nowhere near as popular when we were sleuthing Ali's season as it is now. That is were a lot of really good information and pictures of dates and things appear.

Let's look at what the producers have been responsible for allowing us to see as opposed to what we have been able to see or find out by or means.
We know that Emily's date with Ryan and Chris were very public, so the producers "allowed" us to know about those two. Are there any others that they purposely let us in on as opposed to we found out, but it might not have been their intention? (tweets, somebody's producers happened to be there, etc.)

I think there was rhyme and reason behind those "public" dates, and it went beyond who is F1. I think they wanted to get Emily's season off to a good start with as much good publicity as they could get out of it, and what better way than to film 2 of her hometown dates, complete with as many supportive, happy hometown "chatty" folks/spectators as possible as well as local media went also translated to other, broader-ranged national media?
Also, this helped negate the previous poor season and poor ratings which were as much their fault as it was Ben's and Courtney's. By playing up Emily's two hometown dates and kicking off the filming of her season, I think they hoped to start her season off bright, shiny, and happy as opposed to what we saw last season.

I agree with much of what has been said. I suspect they were feeling out Ryan and Chris for the next bachelor....if not choosen by Emily. They have definitely gotten a positive response from them.

Which one sounds more impressive?

As you can see, both guys had an immediate impact on us on this board, so the logical assumption is going to be that both guys will impact the general audience in the same way unless the producers purposely edit them to do so differently - which can happen. We just read where Courtney said she had a producer telling her in her ear that a girl was saying such and such about her, and she (Courtney) responded. What we heard was Courtney's nasty remarks.... (Not saying that was all of it, but there you go.... that is just how it can happen. There are other ways as well.....)
