Vienna was the last one IIRC that was F1 and didn't get a second 1 on 1 before hometowns. She had the 2 on 1 (GD technically) in the castle with Gia.

That was the last of the shorter seasons though, so only one person got 2 1 on 1s. There weren't enough dates to go around then. Starting with Ali's season, the F1 and the F2 have always gotten 2 solos.

Sometimes, though, what you may in hindsight think was "insignificant" might actually trigger something in someone else's memory! Also, we have a lot of "lurkers" ( just readers - which is certainly ok :Smiley: I was one myself for a long time with great enjoyment several years ago). Some of them do NOT have the background info that some of us do. Those "lurkers" enjoy reading the background info you give. Every once in a while, someone will come forth and say so. Sometimes, they stay out on the board with us, and sometimes they prefer to go back to just reading - again, which is ok. It is all good.

I have been thinking about this a bit already, and here is what I am anticipating....Last season, what we found - I found - was that until the HT Rose Ceremony, I think, Lindzi was standing in the F1 position. After a certain time, it clearly became Courtney in the RCs. I attributed that to what Chris Harrison said: Ben came in with a cavalier type attitude, and it was not until later that he decided he wanted someone for himself at the end of the process. Therefore, although I do believe the attraction was for Courtney from the time she got out of the limo, he didn't commit himself, so the producers "assumed" an F1 Lindzi (3 Ep. date 1-1), and they placed her in the RC lineups in the same spots or very close as either JP or Emily had stood. Courtney looked more like an F2 which at the early stages I think they might have hoped for, especially if Ben had not commited himself. Lindzi the good girl vs Courtney the vixen with the good girl winning as opposed to Jake and Vienna.

So, Jello, given the scenario that Courtney was not standing in the F1 spot - Lindzi was - for those first 6 or 7 episodes, where will they place the F1? Will they follow Courtney, or will they go back to JP, or will they just give it up and start anew?
That is possible, but they did tend to place people for several episodes - I watched it happen.

I agree with Bloomers....a second 1:1 is very significant! (or lack of one)

I agree! After last season's Nikki not getting a second one on one, I should have figured the info my source had couldn't be right.

I also agree that some patterns do still help us figure out the story being told, and this is one of them.

What we are discussing here is that since the longer seasons started - beginning with Jillian - F1s and F2s have always gotten that 2nd one-on-one. Now in retrospect, F3s and F4s sometimes have, and sometimes haven't. F3 Ashley went on a 2/1 with the other Ashley, so she got the remainder of the date, but no solo 1-1. F4 Ames did not get the repeat 1-1, and neither did F3 Nikki; however, given that Nikki's first 1-1 was in the 5th episode which has been the same slot has some other F4s, I thought she was originally intended to be the F4 with no repeat (same as Ames before her), but when Kacie's Hometown did not go so well, Ben simply traded F3 and F4 slots with Nikki and Kacie.

The point here is that it will be interesting to see who gets the repeat dates. We think those are good indicators that those contestants are F1, and F2, and maybe F3, depending on if Chris got another 1-1 in Ep. 6 and if he is in the F4.

I don't think Ep. 5 Sean 1-1 is F2 like Ben (Ep.5 1-1) because he did not get a repeat 1-1 in Ep. 7; therefore, he is either an Elyse who made it ( a matter of time contestant) or perhaps F4 going into HTs.
