Hey all,

If I missed anything or got anything wrong PM me and I can change it.

Pre filming info:

The house the men are staying in is located at 16424 Marvin Rd. Charlotte. Our board confirmed 4 contestants before filming began (Ryan Bowers, Doug Clerget, Aaron Martell, and Travis Pope) We did have a fifth (Ben Smith) but he was not needed for filming and sent home. RS confirmed Jef Holm as a contestant. The men arrived in Charlotte around 3/11.

Meet and Greet Filming 3/14 – Charlotte, NC

Before meeting Emily, the men were held at the Bagel Bin about a half mile from the mansion for hair and makeup. They were then escorted in 5 limos (confirmed by Mills) to the mansion on Marvin Rd. to meet Emily. While en route, one of the limos collided with a manure truck.

Emily wore a gold dress and it was said by the producers the men were blown away by her beauty. The producers noted that Emily was nervous but in a good way. The crew is excited for Emily's season and even vow to go smoke-less for filming. The positive energy is through the roof and even the big man himself, MF, is at the filming. Also at the filming is Emily's grandmother Sheryl (we don't know the reason for her appearance yet).

In an unusual move, the producers live tweet during the limo arrivals and throughout the Meet and Greet:
Emily spoke Spanish to one of the contestants
One compared this experience to the movie Rudy
One had food poisoning
One wore a pink shirt and pink tie <----- bold move

During the cocktail party, MF sensed a love connection, a real life version of the Vow played out in front of them, the crew was moved to tears (not sure whether the previous two are the same contestant) and apparently Robert Mills thought Neil Lane was there (this has not been confirmed) . Most importantly, Emily was able to speak with all 25 men and handed out a FIR to one lucky guy. The Rose Ceremony then began around 6 am and it is unconfirmed how many men received roses.

Emily's first date of the season was with Ryan Bowers (one of our guys!) on Friday. We don't know [yet] what time the date began but we have a tweet about a children's soccer practice ending early so that they could film on the other end of the field. 3/21 Update: Emily and Ryan attended Ricki's soccer practice before going out to dinner. We don't think Ryan interacted with Ricki at all but just stood with the other parents and watched.

On a recent date, Emily took contestant Ryan Bowers to watch Ricki’s soccer game — the entirety of which was filmed for the show. “The game was at Ricki’s elementary school, and they filmed the girls practicing,” the same friend says. “Emily and Ryan stood on the sidelines with the other parents.”

The other tweet, from @jhahne, said that there were cameras all over his building for filming the Bachelorette. *I searched most of the day for his address (thinking apt. building) and turns out it is for a single family home. I am assuming it was his office that he was talking about in his tweet.*

Emily and Ryan arrived at Osso Restaurant just before 10pm in an Ashton Martin. Inside, they enjoyed dinner for approximately 1 hour in a private booth where Emily gave Ryan the date rose. After dinner they went right outside to the adjoining Music Factory for a concert with Emily's favorite country band Gloriana. Emily and Ryan danced the night away on a platform in the middle of the crowd. The concert ended around 1 am.

RS's blog below pretty much covers all of the details of the group date but just wanted to also note that the event raised about $20,000. The show started around 4:30 p.m. and the after party was at the rooftop lounge of Garrison at Graham lofts. (originally found by our poster momoftrips <------- she beat RS!)

So here’s how I can best describe what happened on the group date yesterday, with took place in the Booth Playhouse at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in uptown Charlotte:

-There were 13 total guys on the date, but three never got to perform in any part of the acts.

Act 1: Opening number was 5 guys in tuxedos dancing with Emily and Miss Piggy.

Act 2: Two guys doing stand up “Sesame Street” comedy with Fozzy Bear…apparently was not very funny. Wacka wacka wacka.

Act 3: Kermit the frog and Emily one-on-one then Miss Piggy joins in when Emily goes in to kiss Kermit; they bring Ricki up on stage to meet Kermit and the three of them sing Rainbow Connection.

Act 4: “Live with Miss Piggy” where three guys take the seat for question and answer with Miss Piggy; Charlie (not sure who he is yet) is asked by Miss Piggy to show his “sexy” dance, and he brings Emily up on stage to give her a lap dance. I’m sure all the kids in attendance loved that. Aaron (who is one of the other guys info I do have, but haven’t released yet) had to give Emily a romantic poem off the top of his head. Ready for this one? “Roses are red, violets are blue, Emily Maynard I want to get to know you.” To say the least, he is no DJ Emmy O. Jef Holm was the other guy in this act and Miss Piggy asked him to show her his proposal. So he proposed to Miss Piggy. And they fornicated on stage so they could start producing piglets.

Act 5: For the final act they bring the President/CEO of Levine Children’s Hospital up to say a few words, tell her they have raised $20,000 for the Ricky Hendrick charity, and they all sing “Rainbow Connection” with the audience. It first started out with just Kermit, Emily, the three guys who weren’t in any of the acts, and the hospital spokesperson but then all the other guys eventually come up on stage (including Chris Harrison) to sing “Rainbow Connection” again.

-Emily’s mother and Ricki did not stick around for the whole show. Ricki never interacted with any of the guys. For all she knew, she was just there to see a show that the Muppets were a part of. Her mom and Ricki left after Ricki went on stage.

-The after party was at Garrison at Graham Lofts in Charlotte.

3/21 Update: Before they went to the Booth Playhouse, the cast enjoyed sometime at the Sky High Sports center. (credit goes to RS)

OK, here's the deal with this date, we don't know exactly what went on, and probably will be discussing/hypothesizing/speculating until RS spoils it or the episode airs. Normally, this would be another 1 on 1 however, on the 18th around 4p.m. Robert Mills tweeted that he was setting up for Emily's "Hunger Games" style group date. The tweets later came in that the whole cast (does this include Ryan Bowers or doesn't it?) was filming at the Greenbrier Resort in WV all day. However, it seems by the end of the night Emily was able to spend 1 on 1 time with one of the men and enjoy a fireworks show on the veranda of the hotel. We still don't know how the lucky guy was chosen. (did he win a competition or was he simply the GDR recipient?)

3/21 Update: RS posted today that this was a 1 on 1 date however, we still think there was a group date at the beginning of the day that led to private 1 on 1 time for the fireworks. RS's blog:

As for what else has been going on since my last post on Saturday, I can tell you that Emily had a 1-on-1 date at the Greenbriar Resort in Sulphur Springs, West Virginia on Sunday. Not sure who it was with, but I was told they were helicoptered in, had dinner, then people who were at the hotel said they were given notices that a fireworks show would be taking place between 10:30 and 11:30, which it did. I do have pictures from the hotel that night, but they are nothing too special. Just a bunch of trucks, lights, boarded up windows, etc.

Uh oh, by the sound of production's tweets this rose ceremony is going to be a dramatic one...

First off, the cocktail party started around 9pm and the rose ceremony then began around 6am. Emily wore a purple dress and Robert Mills compared her to Helen of Troy. Production also made a huge deal over Emily's earrings because they were made by Neil Lane.

During the cocktail party, MF tweeted that during Emily's second sit down, "love is in the air" and noted that Emily was spending "a ton" of time with each guy so she can make well informed decisions. They also said that Emily would remember little details that the guys would tell her about themselves and always seemed interested in what they have to say. As for the drama, it seems one guy is a medium (the supernatural kind), one guy broke out his guitar, someone cried, and they revealed that one of the guys has a ponytail. By the end of the night Peter Scalettar tweeted that "tonight puts the nut in nutrition". We are unsure how many roses were handed out only that Ryan Bowers was safe from his 1 on 1.

Emily's first date of episode 3 is with Chris (last name unknown). We don't know if there was an earlier portion to their date or if it began at night. The tweets started popping up at night just Emily and Chris got to experience the first adrenaline date of the season by repelling up the MINT Museum in Downtown Charlotte. On the way up, Chris received a "high five" which under-impressed some tweeters. RS says that once they reached the top they had dinner on the roof where Emily presented him with the date rose. After coming back down, they enjoyed a "private" concert by country singer Luke Bryan around midnight and we have the first photo proof of a kiss while they were dancing. From the tweets the concert appeared to have gone well into the wee morning hours.

If you saw my tweet last night, you will know that Emily had a 1-on-1 date in downtown Charlotte on Tryon Street. Plenty of pictures from the date that were sent to me, so rather than posting all of them which were of lesser quality taken by camera phone, this link written by the Charlotte Observer, you can clearly see about 24 pictures taken from the date. To see all the pics they have click on the “Full Slideshow” button. The guy she was on the date with was named Chris. I don’t have a last name yet, but I’m guessing it won’t be long. They repelled up the Mint Museum UPTOWN at Levine Center for the Arts, had dinner at the rooftop once they reached the top, then had a private concert put on by Luke Bryan. Well, if you call a bunch of people standing around with cameras and cell phones taking videos “private.” Here’s a minute clip that was sent to me:

Couple things to note:

-Emily essentially has slow danced the same exact way with both guys so far, Ryan and Chris. She embraces, then pulls away and has the guy twirl her, then embraces, etc. Wash, rinse, repeat.

-Chris’ dancing makes Ryan’s look like he’s John Travolta from “Saturday Night Fever.” I think you can tell a lot about how a guy slow dances, and frankly, both Ryan and Chris sucked.

-Chris did receive a rose on this date and also got a kiss on the lips. No make out though.

Not much on the next couple of dates. While RS said the visit to Sky High happened before the Muppets show, we believe otherwise. We think it was the group date for episode 3 based on tweets and the scheduling conflict that would arise with them going before the Muppets date. Here's a post that pretty much sum's up why we think this:

I spoke to my friend this morning, she was at the Charity event on Saturday, she got there around 1:00pm and the guys were already on stage, running there lines. My friend also went to Sky High yesterday to check things out and said the kids(8 under) was closed. The 8 and under area could be used for adults as well. She said they could have been taping and just closed things off. Her friend tweeted an hour before she got there that Emily and her guys were in fact inside... I think Reality Steve got this one wrong.

We believe the 1 on 1 date began in Charlotte at a school. The tweets were from girls that were at athletic practices and saw them filming. The girls then saw them take off in a helicopter and we think they were heading for Dollywood. One girl (from TN) then tweeted that ABC would be filming a show at Dollywood and were not allowed to know what it was but assumed it was the Bachelorette. Also, based on MF tweet that two lovely blondes would be part of the show, we assume that she got to meet Dolly Parton while they were there. MF said that this date would be very eye opening for Emily. Sorry no pics :Frown:

**3/28 EDIT: I took out that the date began at Ricki's school... which school the date began at is inconclusive.

Another week, another wacky rose ceremony. It sounds like all the men are really starting to pull out all the stops to impress Emily who is donning a beautiful gold dress tonight. Not much in the way of tweets, the producers seemed more caught up in basketball and other current events. Robert Mills tweeted that "just when you saw everything...." implying something dramatic I'm sure. On a more positive note MF said that this could be the most romantic season ever thanks to Emily and all you need is love. He also again said that love was in the air and that he loves it when his spidey senses are correct.

From here they men and Emily are off to the beautiful island of Bermuda where they will be filming all of their dates next week and staying at the gorgeous Tucker's Point.

FRIDAY, MARCH 23: Network TV show The Bachelorette is expected to film part of its next season in Bermuda.

Production crews are currently on-island, scouting locations.

The show is a spin-off from competitive dating reality show The Bachelor and shows 25 men vying for the affection of one woman.

Last season’s finale drew more than eight million viewers.

The popular ABC show announced in January that its bachelorette for the eighth season is 26-year-old single mother Emily Maynard.

She won The Bachelor last year when Brad Womack proposed to her, but the couple split in June.

Maynard, a fan favourite, will be the first single mom bachelorette and will choose one of 25 men to spend her life with.

The crew for the show arrived in Bermuda on Tuesday and Wednesday and are staying at Rosewood Tucker’s Point.

The cast is expected to fly in over the weekend.

Sources have told the Bermuda Sun a rose ceremony will take place at a lavish property on the island with the cast also staying at Tucker’s Point.

They will participate in various water activities around the island during the course of filming.

Charlotte

The whole team is expected to be in Bermuda until at least next Friday.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the show is filming most of the forthcoming season in a six-bedroom, 8.5-bath European-style mansion in Charlotte rather than its usual California location because Maynard didn’t want to uproot her 6-year-old daughter for the filming.

NASCAR

She was engaged to NASCAR racer Rick Hendrick who died in 2004 in a plane crash when Maynard was pregnant with their daughter.

The show was filming in Charlotte this week as Maynard was spotted on dates.

The Bachelorette premieres on May 14 on ABC.

We reached out to the Department of Tourism yesterday but received no response by press time.

Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert is scheduled to hold a press conference on ‘tourism initiatives’ today, but the specific topic was not disclosed.

Emily's first date in Bermuda is a 1 on 1 date with a contestant we have yet to identify. Some here believe it looks like Doug Clerget but we cannot be certain. They enjoyed a picnic on the steps of St. Peter's Church in St. George near King Square. Below is an article about the date and a wonderful picture of the guy she was on the date with.

TUESDAY, MARCH 27: The Bachelorette has begun filming its eighth season here in Bermuda.

Bachelorette Emily Maynard was filming scenes with her mystery date last night in St George.

The pair were seen walking from King’s Square to St Peter’s Church where they sat on the steps and had a meal.

Onlookers stood across the street watching until they were asked to move by the production crew.

There were also Gombeys in the area but they were not participating in that scene.

Today, Ms Maynard was on a boat in Hamilton Harbour with her suitors.

Emily's second date in Bermuda was a group date to the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. The date appeared to be a boat race between the guys in Hamilton Harbor however, the winning teams reward has yet to be determined. We think 8 suitors participated on in the race.
