When I try to look at the F3 objectively (sleuthing), my question with Sean would be first why did she not ask for an earlier date than Ep. 5? We know that she does have that authority. She may not get the first date, but she would get within at least the first 4 (1-1s) as all of the F1s since Matt's season (with the except of default Jesse) have had their first 1-1s by the 2nd date in Ep. 3.
The next question for an F1 Sean would have to be why Emily - who by the tweets at least - who had a great 1-1 date in England with Sean did not request a repeat 1-1 date for Sean in Ep. 7 such as Kirk, Ben, and Shawntel had.
Ames and Nicki did not have repeat dates. Ames ended at F4, and Nicki ended at Ep. 3 when Kacie's Hometown imploded. (We were told that there was a shake-up in the Hometown front-runners by Chris Harrison which leads me to believe Kacie was supposed to be in the F3, and Nicki was supposed to be F4)
Was Sean's Homecoming Date strongest enough to overcome all of the above odds to become F1?
Have we definitely determined the epi 3 and epi 4 dates? Yes, historically, an epi 5 date doesn't show much promise, except Ashley's season (I didn't watch before Jill's season), where Ben went all the way to the end. I am wondering, however, if something happened in Dubrovnik or Prague that changed the expected outcome for Emily, meaning that her F1 changed. We've been getting "hints" about that. They could be diversionary tactics, but they also could be legit: that Emily changed her mind. After the initial high of Arie wore off, one of her other guys moved ahead.
Is there any chance that Sean had one of the earlier dates, an epi 2 or epi 3 date? I know that repeat dates typically don't happen until epi 6, but could we have a Andy/Tessa situation in that Emily asked for another 1:1 date as a follow-up?
From the M & G pictures, I'd say that Emily liked Arie, Sean, and Doug that first night, that she expected them to go to F4. Perhaps Ryan Bowers was also in her pocket, but the M & G photos show that something is off between them from the start. Anyway, from tweets, the show basically hints that Emily goes off the rails a few times as do the guys: there's drama. Who causes that? And does that drama cause Emily to lose two of her original F4 and early on?
I was quite surprised by the pictures of Emily with Doug and Sean. She's holding hands and genuinely smiling with both of them. There might be more to the Sean/Emily connection than I anticipated. I can't wait to see her interactions.

If we see Sean get an epi 2 or 3 date, and epi 5, I would think that things look very promising for him!

Re: Sean Lowe - Bachelorette 8 Contestant - Thread #1
Here's what we know:
Ep. 4 - Sean, Arie, Jef are on the yacht date. Doug has a 1-1. There was a 2/1. Maybe that was Sean? Since John has a 1-1 in Ep. 7, unless she cut no one - which defeats the purpose - that is not Sean in the 2/1 in Ep. 4 who then gets a 1-1 in Ep. 5. ( That has been done by Tessa under an unusal short season situation).
Ep. 2 - According to RS, Jef is on the Muppet Group Date, so that leaves Jef either with the Dollywood Date in Ep. 3 or the 2nd 1-1 in Ep. 5 which is very unlikely. That date is typically an Elyse type date. Maybe they stay, and maybe they don't. Anyway, they are down the list contestants. F4s usually gets the first of the episode 1-1s in Ep. 5.
I am thinking Arie got the 2nd Ep. 2nd 1-1 Green Brier date since I believe that Jef most likely got the Dollywood date.
What I don't know or can't figure is Ep. 4 (2/1), Ep. 5 (2nd 1-1), Ep. 6 (Repeat or first 1-1 down the line contestant 1-1), the contested Ep.7 (1-1) which would determine then who was in the group date.
5. That would most definitely be true, but for that to happen, then either Arie or Jef would not have gotten a date until at least Ep. 5 where the 2nd one-on-one typically down the list contestant date is open, or the other Ep. 6 one-on -one besides Travis's date which is typically a repeat date is open.
Given the familiarity of Emily with Arie on the yacht, would you think it is Arie? What about Jef? Of the three, which would you think?

I would guess Sean's first date was epi 5.
Between Arie & Jef, I am just doubting either didn't get two 1:1's.

With what we are seeing right now with the scheduling, it is hard to imagine that Arie or Jef did not get a 1-1 until the last date in Eps. 5 or 6.
Unless we are missing something, the scheduling is not right with Jef for a traditional F1 as far back as Matt's season which is basically the way they have set things up as opposed to prior to Matt's season.**
On the other hand, there is an undeniable connection between Emily and Sean. What I think I can say is that if she lets him go, it will be terribly hard on her because she will understand him well and will identify with him; it just won't quite be right somewhere, somehow.
** She could pull a humongulous surprise.....

Could you explain why scheduling not right with Jef?

We don't see the Dollywood Date, but it is an early date ( Ep. 3). At first, I thought Jef was on the Ep. 7 group date in Prague, and the kiss scene was SQT time by an identified possible river; however, when the press release stated a private dinner date which insinuated water, I began to wonder if this was possibly Jef's.
The early date and the possibility of a repeat 1-1 in either Ep. 6 or Ep. 7 make Jef's chances look good.
However, nobody has had back-to-back repeats in Ep. 5 and Ep. 6, so that does not look good for Sean. He could possibly have that 1-1 that is in contention in Ep.7, and Doug and Jef are in the group date with Jef just getting SQT to kiss Emily beside the waterway.
Jef's chances look better than Sean's as far as scheduling in my opinion given what we know right now.

^^^ Thanks for the explanation.
It is wise to keep in mind this sort of thing particularly when sleuthing towards the end when we know who got which dates during the season. It will save a lot of broken hearts.
So from a scheduling point of view would you say that it looks like Arie F1, Jef f2 and Sean f3 right now ?

He is definitely Em's type too. He's a cutie. He is F2 behind Arie for our little group of Em's friends.
