She sent all those guys home, Bloomers I am not convinced that she is eally ready to choose a permanent anyone - and it has nothing to do with her previous "loves."

Personally? My gut feeling is that she will pick someone whether it is just for a relationship or as engaged, but after a while, she will bail out just like she did with Brad.
I don't think the right choice is here, and I am not all sure this is the right way for Emily to go about trying to start a relationship.

What's a damn shame is overall, there's a great group of guys within the 19 to pick from and the F4 is comprised of 2 with baggage! TPTB just never get it....the viewing audience does not need or want the interjected drama. It gets old. Oh, I know they 'need' it for ratings/dollars....but eventually it is going to backfire as the majority of America think the show is a farce anyway. The glass slipper/cinderella theme....drop it MF...it's hokey!

Exactly! Think Doug and Ryan!
Even if Emily and her F1 don't make it past three months, I do think--I do hope--that this experience actually teaches Emily a tremendous amount about relationships and overcoming her insecurities. I'm not really sure what has held Emily back. What exactly does she want and who does she want now and for her future?
I agree that this season might not be Jash Part II. It seemed like it could have been.

Here is what I tried to think through last night, and she could surprise us all....
Somebody posted all those things Emily had posted which indicate Emily's strong views as a Christian woman, and they are strong, positive views.
She let go of Ryan who states the same type views, I think, because he may not be edgy enough and is a bit more overall conservative than she is.
So, I looked for the next one to see who has gone out on a limb and has stated for the world to see what he, as a commited Christian, believes. That is Sean.
This looks like a good match up in the vein of Roberto. He has a good steady, stable State Farm job. He is hunky, kid -oriented, and then top it with he has her Christian views.
The problem? Sean was scheduled with that late Ep. 5 1-1 date. Now, that
date since Matt has not bode well for F1. It has been the slot for F2s and F4s until Nicki when it was an F3.
Now... even if Emily fell head over heels for Sean after that (Ep. 5) 1-1, she could have gone to the producers and told them that she wanted another 1-1 with Sean. It appears that she did not.
As far as we can tell, unlike Ben in Ashley's season who had a 1-1 in Ep. 5 and a repeat date in Ep.7, Sean did not get a repeat date.
Therefore, as far as Emily falling in love with Sean on that England date does not look that realistic to me even though I think he is a great choice for her theoretically.
Now, after the Hometowns and she visits families he may end up in the F3 anyway just like Nicki did. We will have to see how that plays out.

Bloomers, I hear ya.
I was the one who posted those things from her twitter because imo, it does depend on what qualities she prioritizes in a relationship.
Sean does fit that bill on the spiritual commonalities.
Are we positive though that she had no SQT or other with him prior to the England date?
Maybe that England date was already a secondary event with him.??

Oh, I am positive she had that SQT time, but I am quite concerned that she didn't ask for that extra 1-1 date that Ben had and that Nicki and Ames did not have. Now, as stated before, it did not hurt Nicki because Kacie's HT did not work out well and Nicki's did.
That extra 1-1 is important, I think, in the overall scheme of things, and I do think that the Lead has a say in who gets those repeats. Now, the Lead may NOT have a say in when the repeats happen - JP's was in Ep. 6 while Roberto's and Emily's were in Ep.7 - however, it only makes common sense that the producers are going to listen to the lead by that point in the season going in to Hometowns to ensure that the Lead has that time to build up solid connections.

Point well taken and one that makes me even more curious as to whether Doug was on a 1-1 or a group date in Prague. If it was the former, it certainly seems he was slated to be in the F4 and, if so, who took his place?

I guarantee all 25 of those guys have baggage of some kind, if they haven't...have they really lived or had much life experience? Arie is the one I'm concerned about (regarding the tabloid coverage, not who he is) if he's F1, but if they are really in love and believe in their relationship, they can weather the storm.skitts wrote:What's a damn shame is overall, there's a great group of guys within the 19 to pick from and the F4 is comprised of 2 with baggage! The 30-something Christian guys sound good in theory, but should you ignore chemistry and compatability? She may not have had that with those men.

I also am wondering if, for example, she fell hard for Arie at first, she may not have found it important to prioritize getting to know the others that well.
Thinking : "This is it! This guy is my F1 and I'll just try to ride out the rest of the journey as smoothly as possible" .
Then, after getting to know Arie better because of extra dates, she may have become disillusioned with other aspects of him, and she may have decided to really check out #2 guy with the result being that the tables could have turned late in the game.
Just a thought.
Many of us have fallen for someone based upon looks, charisma, reputation, etc. only to realize after some time, that there was someone better in the "back-ground", someone who had more of the long-term values we were looking for. This 2nd person may not have had the initial WOW factor that number 1 guy had, so we may have overlooked him at first.
This may appear that we are settling for 'second best' whereas in reality, our best was just hidden from us, behind the bling of number 1 guy.
In the end, who then truly is our #1 guy?
I think Ashley had that with Bentley. JP steady and strong in the background but she was attracted to, and pursued Bentley first.
And Please, don't think that I am comparing Arie to Bentley. Just comparing the process.

They are good, stable, family-oriented potential men, but are they - when you get right down to it - too conservative and not quite edgy enough for her?
I am willing to see that. I am thinking about the tweets from the NYC people who partied with Emily, and I don't think I see that much partying from what I am reading on Ryan's and Sean's sites. They are NOT angels, but I think they may be a little more conservative than Emily, is all. No judgment here!!!
