During the preview for this Monday night's episode, there's a clip of Emily finding out that Arie had actually dated one of The Bachelorette's producers in the past. What did you and the guys think about that whole thing when you first heard about it, and how did you try to comfort Emily? What did you say to her when she found out?

Jef Holm: That's a good question. I didn't find out until after I had gotten home and it was really interesting. It was really weird to me because Arie and I had developed a really good friendship and communicated about everything.

And it's so strange to me because he would come back home from the hotel after going on a date, and he'd be like -- we talked about it all the time -- and he would be like, "Emily just feels like there's something that I'm like hiding from her or something that I'm holding back, and I have no idea what it is."

And obviously I had no idea that he dated one of the producers, so I was just like, "Well, what do you think it is?" And he's like, "I have no idea. I just get the feeling that she just doesn't trust me or that there's something up." And of course when I got home and I figured that out, I was just like, "Well, duh!" (Laughs)

So, it never came up one time and as soon as I found out, obviously I was like, "Well that's obviously what it was that she felt like you were hiding," because she found out. And I know she didn't address it immediately with him. She kept trying to get him to open up and talk about it, and I think that next week you'll find out a lot more about it. It's a really shocking and really cool interesting story.

I understand tht arie and jef were/are good friends but I doubt they talk each day together. maybe exchange of text messages, but each have their own life... so when he says "I know she did'nt address it immediately with him" it is more a certitude coming from her directly IMO

not that I fully believe him (or at all) but he says they kill themselves on the Bachelor to be real and that 70-80% of other reality shows are fake.

I agree it sound like he talked to both Emily and Arie about it.

On a sidenote- I watched the MF masterclass interview on the weekend Shelby and to me it sounded like he was clearly trying to differentiate the bachelor from the other reality shows- that he referred to as fake, scripted etc and said the bachelor was not. (to be fair I did doze off once )
:puke: I couldn't believe he could lie to an audience of people in the same industry (i presumed). Seriously MF, do you have any integrity? It is what it is- a staged show with moments of honesty where on occasion we get to see a love story start to develop amidst your machinations!

And to that point I saw 10 min of the kardashians the other night and two of the K kids followed their mother in a car to a secret meeting with an old boyfriend.
The K kids lost their mom on the freeway and were bickering with each other, that they lost her yada, yada. The next scene shows the mom at the meeting. I wanted to yell at the screen- call the camera man he can give you directions you dumbasses!
Does MF think that he is not as blatant?
Arie sneaking off to meet Emily- "breaking the rules". Someone gave him directions, encouraged him, maybe the camera man and crew with him. Duh!!

From Mike Fleiss himself... please listen to this. I honeslty believe that a lot of you will change your mind about this show...

13:48 ... most the things in the show are fake

14:25 ... 70-80% of the show is bullshit

15:00 ... the best moment in the show are usually orchestrated

he is talking about Jason. 48h after he picked melissa and he called the producers in tears asking them (after a sexual encounter with Molly) if it was okay to switch... (LOL moment)

he says that Ben's season was boring and the only good "character" was courtney.

funny that this is posted now. last weekend the today show did a spot about House Hunters being fake and they had a quote from MF saying that except for his show and the talent shows all the other reality shows are complete bullshit - I kid you not, he said his show wasn't bullshit....

and like Grade 12 English = this should be a required viewing for anyone watching this show.
