Adding it all up certainly fits a Cinderella story! awwww
I hope so!

Does anyone remember from their youth the "Cinderella" movie with Stuart Damon (GH's Dr. Alan Quartermain) and Leslie Ann Warren? The most beautiful version that I would love to watch again to this day. I had no idea for the longest time that I had been watching the handsome prince on GH for years and years. Stuart Damon had filled out so much from his youth.

I was gonna watch it one time... but then Edward asked me to go have a drink, and well, that was that... :winkie:

rotfl Ha ha, caught that.

I made the following post on the F1 thread as it is evidence why I believe Love_me and San, but it is even more appropriate here.

I think they are setting the table for the final episodes.

While Emily was happy Arie came to see her and they did make out, I don't think they moved their relationship forward at all. We all know what is coming up, but while Emily likes Arie, I don't think she is "in love" with Arie and I think that she now has stronger feelings for Jef and Sean.

They keep Jef in our consciousness as he is now narrating a lot more of the action. This is usually, though not always, an F1 pattern. We see him opening up to Emily more and more and is now putting himself more "in" to the process than in the beginning. While they are a "slow burn" there is still an arc, or place for the storyline to progress to. He still has work to do to get the girl which is a classic F1 edit. I love his sense of humor and loved his PI about going all the way to croatia and being in a skirt. He then broke up laughing. He is someone who gets the humor of life and will make Em's life full and rewarding.

Sean is advanced more since England, but he is still "all in" way too early in the process and is still too "safe" compared to Jef and Arie. This is a classic F2 Safety edit. While Emily says he's quote "Hot" I don't see her really falling over herself to get him alone to kiss her. I think not only is he the safe "F2" but he also will have the "friend" role of the final three with Arie as the Lover (otherwise known as physical edit) and Jef as "the one" who contains both physical chemistry and great friendship. Sean is a comfort zone for her, but I don't think they have the kind of love that you move mountains or cross oceans for as they say in the movies. She kisses him as she does all of the guys in the ending, but the kisses lack spark and kind of remind me of kissing one's cousin, sibling or friend. That is just my $0.02

I agree with everything but the bold. I think whenever a couple has a disagreement , communicates and moves foward it is always a good building block for a strong relationship. I seemed like they both felt so much closer after their talk and the extra time alone solidified thier feelings. IMO

Edit Notes… episode #6 after watching it more carefully

Lots of cats this episode… not sure what the point is.

Two mostly white cats (with some markings) are seen at the start of the show

A tabby is seen twice when the guys go to see “Brave”.

When Ryan tells her at his dumping “Why don’t you give me the opportunity to show you the man that I am at this point?”, the camera shows a cat meowing alone in a dark alley.

A black and white cat strolls about just before Arie visits her.

******

Travis’ date was set up to resemble Sean in a few ways…

She wanted him to take off his shirt as her friends made Sean do back in episode #3… only she didn’t succeed.

Also, they bought crosses on their date. Sean makes a big deal about his “founded on faith family”.

Back at the boys’ house, Sean smugly states that there is nothing romantic there between Travis and Emily. He is right… Travis leaves.

Emily mentioned in London that Sean gave her butterflies in her heart. She was not feeling “IT” with Travis. Yet he tells us he has a heart “this big”.

******

Brave archery date

A lot of little things, but it is so hard to determine what is important.

In the Pixar movie shown (with Emily seated between Jef and Chris in the balcony), a blond haired kid was described by Sean as resembling Jef. Another strong character is compared to Doug. Yet another breaks a log exactly like Sean does in in the tournament. Key question: which character wins the girl?

Arie comments that last week he got a dress. This week a kilt.

Sean and Doug are both critical of Chris. Doug says watching him is awkward. No doubt some viewers may think the same of him with Emily late in the episode. Sean says he would have won the cup had he picked Doug. This was joking criticism of Chris’ move and also, perhaps, implying that he might defeat Doug too. Interesting Sean-Doug connection here: Sean promises Emily in their brief 1 on 1 that he will stay confident. Later, pre-rose ceremony, Emily tells Doug to be confident and stop putting others first.

Not sure what the rainbow means seen over Chris after the tournement, but it was raining at the end of Travis date previously. (Ugh! We took too many detours in Ali’s season over Chris Lambton’s rainbows.)

Bravery is doing your own thing, per Emily. A few comments regarding this in particular, especially in regards to Jef and Chris…
1.) Chris says accepting his bravery award, with Jef watching him, “not brave enough”.
2.) Later Jef states that getting physical with Emily was a major hurdle! Guess that was something he had to “get brave” doing… LOL!
3.) Jef’s kissing scene is after we see Ryan talking to himself getting ready for his date. He says something rather contradictory: “I look at myself every day when I wake up and say to myself: Who do you want to be today? Most men don’t do that.” This line does not match Emily’s definition of bravery.
4.) After Jef’s kissing scene, Chris says to Emily “I feel I can fall in love with you…” No doubt Chris’ line echoes Emily’s mindset… she CAN fall in love with Chris, but may not have yet. Back before the archery tournament, Chris stated “I once lost an arrow. I still can’t find it.”
5.) In contrast, Jef previously told Emily a little secret that he is crazy for her and she responded “me too”.

Before Arie kisses Emily, she comments that (after looking in the shop window) “those dolls look creepy”. No clue what that was all about.

******

Ryan’s date was classic and deserved its length.

Mentioned one key quote of his above… others of interest:

His early comment that Emily likes “bad boys” like him may be foreshadowing that he won’t be the last dumped suddenly. Not all of his rivals are that innocent.

“I’m a very safe driver. You may not feel safe, but I never get into accidents.”

“Look at this beautiful view” (standing in front of Emily)

Emily after eating oysters with him: “This ain’t exactly putting me in the mood.”

“This may be the woman God has chosen for me.”

Tells Emily: “Every man should believe his wife is a trophy.” Emily to Ryan: “Trophies don’t talk back.” Ryan: “Well you definitely would be the first of that kind.”

During the archery date, the guys minus Ryan rode jackasses. Chris calls Ryan a jackass. All the guys “ride on him” while he is away on his date. Ryan is concerned in the ride home that he is not shown as an arrogant “ass”. In the outtakes, Sean's ass hurts on his donkey. (Pardon the French)

When Ryan says he doubts she will find the right guy, the edit cuts to Jef.

******

A few interesting voice-over “bytes” among many over headshots of…

… Arie:
Lasting love requires bravery (Jef reading group date card)
You’re the pearl (Ryan talking to Emily, but spoken over… Arie?)
(I would be so blessed) to be with any of these guys (Emily)
(Everything means so much more to me now) than it did (Emily… “than it did” is what is spoken over his face)
Falling in love is a huge risk (Emily says “huge risk” again over Arie)

…Sean:
I’m going to use the rest of my time (to think about my decision) (Emily speaking… second part is spoken over Jef)

… over Doug, Sean and Arie:
I am not 100% confident in my decision (Emily… may concern Doug rather than them though)

…Jef:
(see also above quote with Sean)
I’m a little bit bigger than some of these guys (Sean)
I’m worried if Emily is OK (Arie… he checks her out instead of Jef though)
… where I think is the perfect place (to fall in love) (Emily speaking about Prague, as camera moves to Chris)

…Chris:
They can come off as somewhat arrogant (Ryan)
Disqualified (spoken as Jef claps)

******

Ugh! That music again…:

Ryan-Trista’s guitar rift was used with past final ones Roberto, Emily on Brad’s season and JP. It was then used twice last season with Ben’s final 3 Nicki. This season, it was used with Tony in episode #2 as he discussed his son and being a father and Arie in this one episode as he croons that he’s in love and sees Emily as his wife.

******

Curious foreshadowing for Jefor somebody else later this season???

Emily dumps Ryan because he didn’t put a “loving but not perfect” family at the top of his list.

John is guarded, but she spares him another week after he shows her funeral cards of his grandparents, showing his strong family relationship.

Doug is coached by her to be confident. She worries that their relationship is slow, although similar comments were made with Jef previously. She also wants to be pursued a little bit.

This may not relate to Jef, but one curio…
At the start of the show, Emily said she missed Ricki who was back in Charlotte. Doug was visibly crying over missing his son.

The random cats are all around on the show. And post show, Jef posted a picture of a random cat at his office that he took in and fed. Then Emily tweeted a picture of a similar looking random cat she found at her house, (but it didn't look like her house). hmmm. What's your take on that JBF

Not only that, but they were being edited in certain scenes for a reason.

Those seen early on with Emily solo were MOSTLY white, with some markings.

That tabby seen during the group date twice looked suspiciously like the exact same shot re-looped! Is there some symbolism associated with striped cats? Maybe they just wanted an "average" cat with multi shades to represent the guys as a whole.

The fact that Ryan mentioned Emily favored "bad boys" and she dumped him was interesting in itself. The cat crying in the alley as he got dumped looked black, but it was hard to determine by the distance. Maybe the point was just to show a lonely cat wandering with nobody around and not happy about it. Another crying cat was seen when Blakeley got dumped by Ben last season.

The cat seen before Arie arrived was half black and half white. That one had a dubbed short meow, but looked like he knew where he was going... darting through the street rather than looking lost like Ryan's.
