the sure thing is the majority of the unspoiled do not see Jef as a frontrunner but i guess if he's the final one, things will change next episode

The Bachelor Bubble can make leads do a lot of things they wouldn't do in normal life. This includes getting engaged to somebody their child has barely met. It also includes making out with abandon and leading on somebody who they aren't in love with, or even falling in love with.
Regarding the edit telling us something, as Bloomers (where is she? I miss her :Frown: ) always says, sometimes what it tells us is purposely misleading. And the obvious, "in your face" edit this season is saying, ARIE, but that doesn't mean that's what actually happened, only what the producers want the average viewer to think is what happened, at least for now. And even so, some viewers are seeing a much more subtle edit that is saying, JEF.

All of the unspoiled people I've talked to about the show barely mention Jef, and if they do it's often to comment on his hair. None see him as a frontrunner. They think Emily is intrigued because he is playing hard to get essentially and she's used to everyone falling all over themselves to be with her which is what he isn't doing. But they don't think he will last til the end because Emily will get bored of that little dance.
So it seems some unspoiled people see something between them and others aren't seeing what is supposedly there.

I said it before but to me, they seem to be falling for each other in the most natural way while being in the most un-natural situation and maybe some of the mistakes of previous bachelors/bachelorettes is that they closed off to everyone because they had a great first date early on and in the end, there was somebody better suited for them.
I also think with the exception of a later first date, Jef is getting the typical hidden F1 edit...I believe it's been obvious by many long time viewers that Arie was never going to be last man standing.
I wouldn't count JU as an unspoiled board. They even have a forum on the site dedicated to spoilers and they too appear to question Jef as the F1. This and JU are the only sites I even visit so if you would let me know the other unspoiled boards I would love to visit them. Everyone I talk to that is unspoiled still has Arie and Sean as F2. TIA

I went to the motherboard yesterday but only read about 2 posts before leaving so, couldn't tell from that one. Seems to be a somewhat immature crowd there.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

I've said this before elsewhere, but I was unspoiled until after episode 4. Even more so I've never thought to look at edits, etc., all the stuff people worry about on here, until I came on here. Didn't even know about this site until after episode 4, and I saw that Jef was a frontrunner from the very first episode. So what that he was obviously in that background at that point. I knew he wouldn't be forever.
I didn't know how far he'd go, but I could see he was going to be a contender.
Yes, their times together seem awkward, but I'm with the person who says the way their relationship is progressing seems natural and normal and the way it would if they had all the time in the world, no cameras, no pressure. It's real. And it seemed that way to me before I was spoiled. It seemed like the most healthy and normal-feeling, non-TV relationship out of the bunch. At first there would be awkwardness, insecurity, lack of confidence. The conversations would be stilted, just getting to know some stranger. They wouldn't start kissing immediately, the first day, unless they were really after someone, really trying to win someone and weren't just trying to see if there was a possibility of a future.
I see Emily and Jef as trying to see if there's a possibility of a future there first. I see them going about it the right way, the way that two serious people would who are truly trying to find someone. The kisses come with time. The kisses happen because they start wanting them to the point that they can no longer resist, in front of cameras, once they've figured out that it's a good thing - which they seemed to in episode 4. It seemed all their concerns were answered there.
The fact that she is patiently and anxiously waiting for Jef says a lot about their relationship. Despite their awkwardness she says it's easy with him, she wants him to kiss her. She feels enough to want that, to be hoping and looking for that, and to mention it to CH, who thought that was significant. Obviously, Jef is really working on her, and has from the start.
As far as her kissing Sean after being with Jef? You don't have to love someone truly, to feel deeply for them, to kiss them, even open mouthed. I know I've kissed guys that I wasn't sure about, or just because it was fun, or because I was in lust with them. Hasn't she said she just likes to kiss?
In Jef's case it seems to be something she truly wants, enough for it to bug her when he doesn't, and to patiently/anxiously look forward to. And she's uncommonly concerned about what he thinks. And vice versa with him, really.
I do see good signs, even in the editing, between these two. And like I said before, I thought he was a frontrunner from the start. Just because Arie got his big date and they show no flaws with him yet, didn't make me think he was the frontrunner and running away with it at this point. Just that he got first shot, therefore his physical relationship was a little further than the others, and because of this he thinks he has her all to himself. Ryan thinks she's all his, too, since he's already been on a date and feels "special" as a result.
Jef was begging for his first 1:1. On the beach he said he's the "master" of her group dates, and then said to her, "No more."
*BTW, by the "motherboard" I assume people are talking about the Bachelorette board on the main site. I've been there when I was unspoiled and it was clear many saw Jef as a frontrunner.

I do believe the spoiler Jef is F1. What I am trying to untangle is when and why?
I think the MF tweets hold the when and perhaps the why. While the show was going on they seemed so random and now they really make sense. I'll post here since there is so much debate going on as to what Emily was thinking. Arie was the frontrunner in the beginning. Sean got on her radar next then Jef started opening up in Bernuda. MF tweeted after the HTD RC about a "horse race to the finish". I think the reason it was a "horse race" is because she had feelings for all 3 (there is a MF tweet about her falling for 1....maybe 2). Arie no longer was the clear winner. This tells me whoever ends up F1 is not a choice by default. Someone does pull ahead for reasons hopefully we will see, maybe early "the final rose is ready, perhaps too ready"--Mills tweet. I think the tweet about Neil Lane better bring his A game most likely points to Jef. If Arie is eliminated after FD as spoiled I feel sure it refers to Jef. This tweet was during the FD period. I believe that is when she decided F1. Anyway that is how I see it.

Good post. You will find many here who agree with you. I am among them.
The mother board is FORT (fans of reality tv), I assume. I came from there, as well, but this is the first I have seen that name used.

My unspoiled coworkers have never even mentioned Jef as one of their favorites and those that have heard spoilers are about as mind boggled as I am.
If anyone's being edited as a dark horse f1 it would be Sean. We've seen them kissing already a couple of times.
Arie's the obvious f1 at this point and is getting the chemistry edit big time. The only thing we don't have yet is the doubt and that's probably starting in this episode.
Again, that's only the edit I see at this time. It's subject to change after I watch the next epi.

Would have to agree with you about darkhorse F1 possibly being Sean. We're seeing more from Sean and Arie since Episode 1 and I see Emily having more chemistry with those two but more with Sean than Arie as she's always looking in Sean's direction as well as talking to him on group dates. Jef has a more of a friends vibe with me right now and he has just only now begun to start his rise and I'm wondering if it will help him or hurt him in the long run. jef's edit could always change with me. I'm hoping they show more of him with Emily on Monday night.
they do. they do. they DO!!! over 20 minutes!!!! Even Fleiss said so!!!!!! they kiss several times too for those who think that kissing is a MUST to be attracted!!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Yep but keep in mind that Jef is not the only one having a first 1on1 date and kissing in the next episode. It would be easy to explain if he was but he isn't and Emily so far has shown quite a bit of interest in Sean too. Just saying.

the thing is that we will all have a fair view because all final 3 will have their 1:1 versus only judging on ONE 1:1 with arie.
I like fair comparison not a one way only :)
