What I am saying is that it's not fair to say that there is /no way/ Jef can be a frontrunner. Why? Because the edit doesn't show it? You cannot take the edit at face value. There is tons of footage that doesn't make the final cut. You can't completely count Jef out based on the little they show. We don't know what is brewing between Emily and Jef.

I think that was the point... based on what we've been shown so far, without being spoiled... one would have a difficult time naming Jef as a frontrunner.

Whether or not he actually IS a frontrunner, wasn't the assertion.

Jef was def one of her top 4 based on edit alone. He got sqt alone with her in a special place away from group in episode 1. He got a proposal scene in episode two and a deleted scene. Also got the GD rose. I have no idea where he actually stood with Em at that time but he has been edited to have a definite storyline. He was trending on twitter several times during the premiere.

ITA Rich. Without the avatars/siggies featuring Jef I wouldn't have put him in the f4. I knew Emily likes him but for me he hasn't been shown enough to make him anywhere near a frontrunner by edit.

i don't know but i am sure most the unspoiled people do not put Jef as a frontrunner going by episode 3 and we should take that into consideration in my opinion

I'm a little confused. Is this the statement you're talking about, Sophie? I just watched it again and it appears to be all one continuous sentence. The VO is Emily mentioning Arie by name and when they show her she's still at Dollywood. While it's possible she could have been talking about someone else, it's unlikely because of the location & that it fits so seamlessly with what she was saying about Arie.

just like so many other contestants that we thought they were sooooooooooooooooo in love with the lead and we heard from them afterwards that it was all edit and never the truth.

what would be the show if at the M&G, the lead said .... among those 25 guys (20 coming for fame only BTW), only one interest me?

the "and I do not want to screw it up" could totally be a montage. they are pros and after 24 seasons, ABC do not pay amateurs IMO
