I have a question.

1. how long do you think it takes to tape each PI
2. do you think they also edit, cut and mix what they say?

In my head it is a big yes. they edit the filming to show us a story so for me I have little doubt they do the same with the PI

ex: when emily is talking about arie and her "Now that I found him, I do not want to screw it" ...

it could be an answer about another guy no? They want each to talk and talk and talk..... I remember ASHLEY saying that she spent hours and hours repeating the same things again and again. in the end we got an overdose of her insecurities about bentley.

just a thought here because I bored to death to have nothing else to do with my life but thinking about this stupid show

Isn't that connection between Arie and Emily too much emphasised..like Ashley and Bentley ( Difference is that Arie is a great guy,and cares for Emily) I think Ashley sad something about Bentley like- I can picture myself with him right now,like it is the end...or something in episodes 2 or 3. I don't know how the story with editing and everything else goes. But something is not right there....

lets remember that she was very touchy with bentley and as you said the only difference is that bentley was a big ass and was disgusted to even touch or kiss her (pretending or true it was wayyyyy exagerated) and arie is not acting as an ass

My frist impression when I watch arie and emily 1:1 was this...... half of the show emily acted like he was a great friend, she did not play attention to him much when Dolly was around, she was giving him signs she likes him (bending her torso to him) but she was not over the top . She had a good time but she was not all over him. When dolly sang this romantic song, I saw no eyes connections at all. He wanted like crazy to raise her attention but she did not. Her focus was entirely dolly not him.

then the second part when they were at the manege, she changed. She was touchy-kissy. "where have you been" etc

then again at the dinner she acted as a friend. In my mind this sequence happened before the manege. Emily is on the friend mode again. She is comfortable but not cosy-touchy. She tease him. She is having fun but she is not in the cruise mode IMO. When she gives the rose, they kiss on the cheek.

That she likes arie, I have no doubt about it. But arie makes me think about William with ashley or ryan from ashley's season. The only difference is that both ryan and william lost their friend privileges. william when he acted as an ass and ryan when her feelings for JP were too strong that she did not want to pretend anymore. At episode 3, it is still very new/fresh. Nothing is serious yet. Emily can still be on the play mode. She can kiss a couple of guys of her choice but there is no heart commitment.

I am not sure how much she liked arie at this point. I am not sure if his position is equal level with jef and a couple of others. If arie is on her top list. If jef is on her top radar and arie close after or the reverse? It is hard to know because we do not have any 1:1 comparison with JEF. Based on arie 1:1, she likes him. no doubt.

Then the PI. If was way too excessive about the "Now that I found him, I do not want to screw it"..... versus the rose ceremony when she kiss SEAN? If she does not want to screw it up with ARIE, then the kiss with SEAN was a nono the same night she pecked arie multiple times.

So again for me, I see an unbalance between words and acts.

I agree Shelby! There is no doubt that Emily likes Arie,and we need more Jef to compare!
Hm, I wonder also about that statement I don't wanna screw up, like it doesn't fit there with her action. I mean she is going to kiss a lot of guys,she is going to screw up. LOL

At this point, I think we should all hold our breath and wait the 1:1 with JEF (and with SEAN) or any more substance for comparison.

right now it is like comparing apples with apples no?

imo with what we've seen so far Arie was the frontrunner and i believe i am not the only
things will change though because the spoilers say Jef is final one so i think it has to change in the edit and we'll see why he is the one

I don't think Emily was going to focus on any guy as long as Dolly was in the room. There was plenty of chemistry between them on the rest of the date and even a little when Dolly was singing. I don't think there was any problem with Emily saying she didn't want to "screw it up" with Arie while going on to kiss other guys because that's what the show is about. You can't shut it all down just because you may have found "the one".

Honestly, it's not really fair to state that there's no way Jef is a frontrunner at this point. Maybe Jef and Emily had amazing, honest conversations, moments Jef made her laugh and feel excited, but these scenes were all left on the cutting room floor. It's possible that they are indeed hiding the budding romance, or at least tempering it, in order to establish other frontrunners. All in all, there's not enough material to judge who the frontrunner is. In Ashley's season, the edit showed that the early frontrunners were Will and then Bentley, and then JP...

there is not enough material to make a fair judgement.

if someone saw me with my #1 years ago, happy and all.... and then has no idea that I am now with #2... guess who this person will talk about with me?

the edits give us a biased version because we have NOTHING to compare but only one successful 1:1 so far... once I see her with jef and sean, then I will be able to check her body language, her words etc
