Ive read a few times about the connection between Jef and Joe in the editing. What do u make of the connection between Jef and Tony that editing made in the first 3 episodes?

There are many puzzle pieces this season that appear to fit a certain way. Yet I just haven't gotten them put together yet...

Tony, Sean and booted-in-the-beginning Brent are already fathers. The one with six kids was the first to go.

I'm assuming you meant Doug? Uncle Seanie will make a great dad one day, but he's not there yet.

That is what I enjoy in jef. he does not seem fake and all his faces are the kind I expect to a genuine person who is in this kind of show.

Shelby your siggy of Jef made me spit out my drink. OMG, it's so funny and captures him pefectly. I think that's his basic reaction to all the manipulated crap on this show. Hugesmile basically his WTF? look.

oihhhhhhhhhh thank you gina for noticing it. I thought i was the only one to find it funny. And yes. I totally join you (and obviously his friend from utah I think) that the show was totally out of his element and he was constantly shocked and felt a complete stranger there.:

ps: I keep thinking that his lack of clothes like shorts or wearing the same plaid shirt and the same RC suit... methinks that he thought he would go home after 1 or 2 weeks max. I wonder, why he was not allowed to shop tho or maybe he does not care about it (which is a good thing in my book).
totallly agree. We saw JP in the same t shirt several times too, he thought he'd also go home first night, same as Jef, who probably thought that too, esp. after seeing a few of the muscled meatheads and drama queens. :giggle: Jef and JP were also the shorter guys on the show, so no wonder first night they felt intimidated a little perhaps.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but in Emily's cocktail party speech before she left to deliberate she spoke about "(the man I am supposed to be with) for the rest of my life is in this group of guys" and the camera zooms in on Arie for the bolded text

Ooooh we are so different, but, yes, we gotta pester Bloomers with PMs. Usually about this time, she pops in to correct me of my boo-boos. (Probably occupied with other dramas on The Homefront... we do get distracted during some seasons when our other LIFE takes over.)

I think it has little less about the physical rather than being a bunch of 20 or so dudes competing for emily's attention.

he looks shy or reserved so I bet he needed tons of reinsurance that she was interested. I think he got the message loud and clear, don't you think? giggling

I would be bored out of my mind without a book to read, nothing else to do but sharing space and time with girls I did not pick as my friends. eeeek

"Reality television frequently portrays a modified (...) day-to-day life, at times utilizing sensationalism to attract audience viewers and increase advertising revenue. Participants are often placed in exotic locations or abnormal situations, and are often persuaded to act in specific scripted ways by off-screen "story editors" or "segment television producers" with the portrayal of events and speech manipulated and contrived to create an illusion of reality through direction and post-production editing techniques." ~ Wikipedia

Oh 59hawaii, Emily is not going to fool us with that line again... like Ashley seeing her future husband among Ryan, Willie and Bentley.

Shelby wrote:if you look at the glasses, arie,s and emily's, they are identical, almost full both.

My first feeling and I still stand by this is that producers asked arie to meet emily in the corridor after she ejected out allesandro. Completely staged. "you are not having a good night?" obviously EVERYONE in the mansion saw her with a long face leading allesandro out. I even SC jef face when he saw her. So of course arie knew and he was waiting for her. that the producers asked him or he took the initiative? It looks like more staged by the producers if I keep the 2 glasses... a guy who would care, would not think of drinks firsthand IMO. How convenient that Ryan was around... Obviously the guy is filling the Bentley's villain role. It looked so fake that ooohhhh coincidence arie and ryan were at the same time, same place (may I remind you it was in a corridor not inside any room). So what? Ryan was peeping emily? gross! Now that we know that ryan said that he would be a perfect (next) bachelor, all his act is just what it is: fake and provoked by the producers. And if the producers pushed ryan for this little show, how close are we to admit that arie was also an accomplice?

My second thought was this. The very same night she kissed SEAN open lips (no tongue but still lips playing which is in my book a hot kiss). If she was so into arie, then I would have avoided kissing another guy.... or she played her role just like the producers asked/briefed her to do: kissing is not such a big deal if you do not kiss them all. You need to keep the fans on their toes and kisses are part of the job.

My last thought was of course her reaction with jef. She is completely different when she is with him. her facial, shoulders, eyes are more on a cruising mode. Her constant "where are you? I looked for you." and the general message directly sent to him: do not be afraid to talk to me. How clearer is this?

So yes. I agree that we see many dust, just like every season and it is interesting to figure it out what storyline the producers wish us to see/believe.

I associate this as the cat and the mouse. who will will the race?

JBF you are one of the major reason I keep staying in this forum this season. Thank you.

ETA: i may jumped on conclusions that arie did not care. maybe he did and just wanted to be sweet and ryan knowing arie was his competition followed arie. ... just another scenario that i do not dismiss :)

Ha ha! Alessandro probably freaked Emily more with his Vampire Killer talk than any of his weird parenting comments. We were only blessed with the tamest discussion between the two. I would absolutely love to hear the PIs from Emily about him that did not make the cut since I can no longer maintain a straight face re-watching the promo and him telling Chris "Something real bad is about to happen at that house." That must have been the moment right before all of the crosses were hung on the trees...

What still gets me about Arie and Sean is that they were the first two out of the limos in the "behind the scenes" preview (altered for the premiere show), occupy the back row of the group photo like "bookends", have the hottest kisses in the promos and just happen to pop up together in so many group settings... watching everybody around them as quiet observers who are in-the-know. Now I am not jumping to conclusions that they were hired actors to fill the Fantasy Date roles so that Emily can stay "chaste"... maybe they really are innocents who fell head over heels in love with Emily and left broken-hearted... (and just happen to be "around" Jefie a lot like bodyguards in group settings... as if protecting Fleiss' precious cargo).

... and like Travis and his damn egg. Bet he and Emily put Shelly to bed the second episode simply because Travis knew he would be standing by Jef that ceremony too and Emily felt it was making her boy too jumpy. After all, Chris Harrison informed Emily not to lay the babytalk too thick since it might scare them off... and the egg is a little blatant of a reminder. Bad enough, we saw the egg right before Jef's skateboard discusson in episode #1, which in turn was right before Doug the Good Dad and Austin's cute letter (probably written by Doug rather than Austin... LOL!)

Yup... Bloomers needs to stop me before I get carried away again...

Well... even if we are dreaming these ideas in our heads and this isn't the "truth", it at least provides us amusement.

Half the time, I think this franchise is like this movie...
