Paige's mom asked 8 questions!! As I watched more and more of her questions come up I had the thought that maybe Paige told her she had to be as tough or maybe even tougher on Bubba today! :laughingoutlou

And when she asked Bubba this question all I could think was I bet Jeremiah already knows that! giggling

Just finished the Bubba chat. Is it just me or did anyone else find it a rather odd chat compared to some of the others?? Let me elaborate on my observations:
1. He was about 17 minutes late. Cited computer trouble. He quit without saying thank you or goodbye. Just quit and let SHA sign off.

2. He answered a few questions from fans, but very few. He answered questions from Paige's mother (in a perfect, almost "suck up" kind of way IMO)

3. Despite many questions, he answered nothing re: the other guys, the experiance of being on the show, or whether he'd consider being the next lead

4. He made no acknowledgement to fans, thanking them for support, or appreciations for the comments etc.

These are just a few things I found in stark contrast to the warm, down to earth, friendly, humorous and appreciative behaviors of the other F4 chats.

As I recall there were about 450 ish comments during the chat compared with almost 700 for Jeremiah and about 650 for Little Shaun. I will say that each answer he gave was present tense and sounded like he could be F1. He gave nothing away and sounded like he wasn't necessarily "over" Paige.

What were your observations?? :pullouthair: How many hours til the finale??

Yes, it was all very strange.

And he could give all those perfect answers to Paige's mom because none of it is real, he's not with Paige, and none of that will happen. IMO empty promises that mean nothing. Kind of like the imaginary life he planned for Paige. My husband thinks he's become another Landon!

30 something hours per the ladies on his FB page who are also freaking out! :laughingoutlou

Ok, so I was able to compile his Q/A over my break. It wasn't too bad, since I think he had technical difficulties at the beginning; so not too many questions were answered.

I will say that I do think Bubba is a stand-up gentleman. I think whoever ends up with Bubba, will be a lucky girl :Smiley: .

I normally just take these Q/As with a grain of salt, since they are still bound by contract and can only reveal certain aspects of the show/production.

I can see how many would take his answers as if it's an indication he's F1. In my opinion, I think the viewers are going to be even more "shocked" (at the ending) after this.

I can't tell if he's still in love (or has feelings) with Paige or not. I can just tell he's a really good guy and I wish nothing but the best for him. Hopefully I can see him in his own season finding his soul mate. :Bubba:

Q: Chivalry is not dead, thanks to you Bubba! Many people are even saying editing portrayed you as too good to be true, what do you think about this? Do you feel the show's editing conveniently left out other sides of you we didn't get to see, and only emphasized the positive? A: I am completely satisfied about how the show turned out. As far as the editing it was all real. What you see is what you get and everyone in the house acted like themselves 100%.

Q: Hi Bubba! where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: I will still be the same person I have always been and thats a cowboy.

Q: Congrats on making it to the final 2!! I really hope Paige does pick up! How hard was it not get jealous when the other guys came back and told all about their dates?
A: It wasn't hard for me at all. I am not a jealous person and I knew I wasn't going anywhere because Paige and I have a huge connection.

Q: Favorite thing about Paige?
A: Her beautiful eyes.

Q: What was your first impression of page?
A: I was AMAZED at how beautiful and when I heard her voice I just melted.

Q: My horse's name was Clean Slate cause it reminds me that every day is a new day with no mistakes in it a fresh start. I've ridin through the mountains and through streams and meadows but always wanted to ride on a beach. That was so sweet of you to make that as your first date. How long have you've been working on your ranch? Was that what you always wanted to do?
A: I have been a Cowboy my whole life and its what I have always wanted to do.

A: Douglas is my real name.

Q: Since Douglas is your real name, why do you go by Bubba and where did it come from?
A: I am named after my dad and my sisters started calling me BUBBA when I was little and it just stuck with me.

Q: i wana know how a small town cowboy takes to all this fame, and how things are holding up why you are away from the farm??/
A: I am still the same guy as far as the fame goes. I didn't go on the show looking for FAME though, I went looking for LOVE. As far as the farm/Ranch I am looking through the window at all the cattle as we speak, so I am not far away.

Q: Bubba, do you play any insturments? And do you have an all time favorite country song,
A: No I do not play any instruments. I love all country songs

Q: IDK if this chat is over, but Bubba, you have shown yourself to be chivalrous, kind-hearted, mature, the overall package. What are some of your flaws? We have got to see them from every guy but you.
A: My biggest flaw is that I am not a morning person and am a bear at times to get out of bed.

Q: BUBBA THOMPSON!!!!! u are a true gentleman.....hope u and Paige end up together......Question??? Would you ever consider moving to South Carolina???
A: Yes I would consider moving to S.C. Frankly I would consider ANYTHING to make Paige Happy. Relationships are 50/50 and cannot be 1 sided.

These were exchanges between Paige's mom and Bubba. I don't think Bubba had the opportunity to answer all her questions, but he did for most.

Beverly Harper Duke ‎Bubba Thompson I have been waiting for this chat. I have a lot of questions for you. First of all Paige has two pit bulls that she loves more than us. They are very spoiled. They love to sleep in her bed at night with their heads on the pillow. If she were to choose you, how will you handle that? They come as a package deal. I am tired of keeping her doggies.

Bubba Thompson Bev - Of course her dogs are welcome, Its what she loves and anything she loves I will love as well. As far as them sleeping in the bed, I have no problem with that as long as they don't in way of us cuddling.

Beverly Harper Duke bubba, as I told Jeremiah, Paige has two sisters, and a mom, and we are tight, we come as a package, my son in law says he has to answer to 4women and please 4 women, not just 1. How do you respond to this. This is important.

Would you please teach me to get on a horse gracefully and to stay on the horse and then would you please rope her up and tie her down and pay her back for treating her mother that way???? I need a son to take up for me. Our dogs are even female and they all take sides with their dad. If you would just be on my side for once, even if I am wrong then you just won the contest. Lol

I missed this the first time but is this perhaps a chink in the Bubba armor?

Kim's FB profile says she graduated from high school around 30 miles from Bubba's hometown. She made 2 separate posts:

The first response I found was at the end of the realtime chat right before SHA shut it down. And I do agree with her. But I won't deny that I find this interesting if true.

Wouldn't the fact that he has a child matter? Don't me wrong, I'm a JJ AND Bubba fan, so I'm not attacking him, I just find it odd that it wasn't mentioned. Not the child's name, ss #, etc., just that he had a chlid... :hidingchair

Oh I'm fully on the Jeremiah is f1 boat. I will go down with this ship

I just meant that judging by the reactions on Facebook,most viewers believe that Bubba is f1. I think the chat will convince them even more or give them confirmation that Bubba will be the guy Paige chooses. JMO. hence the "shock" comment laugh out loud

They did show that landon had a child , so it may just be a rumor , [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have no idea if the rumor is true or not, but if Bubba has a 14 year old son, who would probably be the result of an unplanned teenage pregnancy (and there's no telling how involved in the child's life he really is, IF true), it would tarnish the image that Bubba is "perfect" and has never done anything wrong. Don't mean to offend, but knocking up your girlfriend at 15 or 16 wouldn't fit with that image. So I absolutely could see why the producers would leave that detail out, but not do so with Landon, who was never presented as the hero of the piece the way Bubba is.

And again, this isn't proof that the rumor is true, but its ommission would also not be proof that it's false IMO.

From Bubba's responses to the chat, he sounds very earnest but dull. And I think Paige's mom's reference to her daughter's "gypsy soul" is another reason why he's probably not a good fit for her. His lifestyle and nature are too sedate for what Paige wants now, even if he would be willing to go along with it (or maybe be dragged along is more appropriate) to make her happy. That kind of arrangement doesn't work longterm and eventually causes resentment.

I don't know whether she and Jeremiah will eventually get married, but it's clear that they are in love now, and therefore, he's the right guy for Paige now. Whether she would be better off with somebody like Bubba years from now is beside the point because they would never make it in the short term.
