To me, it sure seems like they are going to a lot of effort to fabricate drama. Probably because there isn't much of it in this season otherwise... Just really decent guys and a really nice, fun girl.

And if they are going with the basic story structure format, they need a "turning point" at 25%, 50% and 80% of the story...which, funny enough, would seem to coincide with Bentley's leaving and these "dramatic" returns of Bentley and Ryan...

Actually the rest won't be too bad, if you like The Amazing Race.

Episode #4 looks more interesting in stills than it probably does in motion. Since there are more shots of Ames's date in the previews than practically anything else all season, I feel like I've watched that episode already.

In episode #5, JP may still be under the radar, but they do make up for it with rides on elephants (like Brad's), Ben trying to speak the lingo in Thailand like Reid in Spain... that looks like a funny date, but will the soy be as grande? Also Ames' "journey" to the hospital.

The Taiwan episode looks dull. Hmmm... a group date with JP, exhausted Ames and Ty... I mean, Lucas... bet Ashley's facial reactions will be a riot. Then they will make Ryan's dumping the most dramatic ever.

I just flew over the land of "unspoiled" and they have added contestant threads..Ben F doesn't have a single post in his thread

If he doesn't get any air time next week I'm going to be concerned for his health. It's like production brought him there to drug him and throw him in the background only to have enough guys at this point! When the drugs wore off they interviewed him so he would have a couple PI's..

LOL! Awesome. What I want to know if the spoilers are wrong, how are they going to explain them falling in love, especially after the Bentley disaster? I guess she could have learned to go for the sweet one after she got the badboy out of her system?

That's what I want to know. If Ben is F1, I can see the majority of my friends that are not spoiled going - "WHAT?????" At least with JP, they have shown some sort of connection from the first night and now they have a 1:1 date on Monday. Whereas, Ben does not get one for a few weeks.

Did we see any 1-1 interaction at all between Ashley and Ben during the 2nd episode?

He raised his hand when asked about not having 1 on 1 time with her. In addition, the editors made a point of showing lots of clips of Ben watching others with Ashley, not making any move a.k.a. JP or William.

They are definitely editing stuff out, however. I agree about his time with her in Las Vegas... and Ashley already indicates plenty of kissing and it wouldn't surprise me if that happened as well. This echoes Reid two years ago... claiming he wasn't getting time with Jillian because of Juan, but one kiss scene was deleted from episode #2. So who knows?

I did have hissy fits about so much Ali and Roberto being buried last year, but in hindsight (20/20) I now realize plenty was shown. The only problem was that the editors emphasized the "physical" over the "commitment" while Chris L. was getting the "marriage" discussions... all to lead viewers on. Yet, we weren't exactly denied the "romance" per say.

With Ben, all of his scenes are with other guys and rarely with her. I do think this may be his "problem", not taking the initiative, for not making it to the end... provided the RS outcome is correct. If RS is wrong and Ben is F1, then something traumatic happens with JP (as you even suggested before, I think)... although I would expect some kind of "sign" at this stage... like I already do with Ryan P, the early favorite who is now seen trashing on Jeff. Like William and Bentley, Ryan is destined for trouble-trouble-trouble down the road, although this upcoming episode will keep him a moderate favorite when Ashley gives him a group rose.

Not only is Ben WITH the other guys while JP is assertive ( not overbearing but assertive, mind you) enough to get his 1-1 time with her, but Ben is seen making or joining in the snarky remarks about other guys. (Thank for that reminder, Blondie) Add to that what you are saying, that we do see the camera flick on his face, but we also have seen him with someone else standing in the doorway looking in on, I believe, William and Ashley. What's the subtle message from the edit, here? To me, it is that Ben is with the guys, about the guys, and while JP is in the room with the guys, JP is about Ashley.

OMG, the poor guy just can't win! Knowing that makes me more confident that JP is F1. Distraction, distraction, distraction! I just hope we see some good 1-1 time between Ash and JP, otherwise I'm going to be PO'd!

They better show all of the love story! I think this is similar to Ali's season.. once Justin and Frank are gone, things start to get serious and you get to see the real love story, they were just a distraction to her and Roberto and like this season, Bentley and Ryan P. are a distraction to Ash and JP.

I am hoping once Bentley is gone we get to know the F4 guys better. The sad thing is Bentley makes a return and that will be the focus of episode 6. I hope not.

Yuuuuup! You can also add the bio information on the alphabet board, suggesting that Ben operates best in a group situation (i.e. his Germany trip), while JP is more of a loner. Also Ashley has already addressed his problem with patience in one casual conversation. He mentions this "fault" in his bio.

You are excellent in rose ceremony analysis and photo examinations... just a quickie question?

I did see JP sitting with "troublemaker" Ryan only once briefly, but Ben is with him quite a bit. Also in the preview photos for Monday, Ben is saying goodbye to Bentley and JP is maintaining some distance. I realize half of those on this forum looking at that photo were only noticing JP shirtless in boxers, but I noticed he has made very few appearances in the same frame with Bentley. This could just be an editing trick and both of the final two spent equal time with the "villain" and the "instigator" (shown mocking Jeff to his face in the post-show outtake... by the pool), but past seasons do show a tendency to keep the final 1 away from some of the drama. (That wasn't easy to do with Ed, since he was calling out to Wes from the window... or Vienna obviously.)

At this stage, William is a "good" character who will make a big mistake on Monday's show, so there are plenty of shots with him and JP. Interestingly, William's scenes instigate JP's story... or help hide it from the other guys... if not the viewers. JP told William he would be assertive getting to know Ashley. William talked to him after his time and repeated some of JP's moves... but got the other guys (namely Nick) angry. It is obvious, Will is one of JP's "smokescreens"... with the guys focused on his bragging and cutting in, they don't notice anything unusual going on between JP and Ashley.

what do you mean by saying troublemaker Ryan.........I don't think there is anything with Ryan that would make him the troublemaker??
