In a mature and giving relationship, Kiptyn would certainly have encouraged her to travel for charity missions or to go to Paris with friends. You dont "take a break" for those reasons. They are adults who can have separate adventures while being in a loving relationship. Kiptyn isnt a horrible person. But that doesnt mean that they are on the same page when it comes to what they want.
They could have decided to get back together and keep things private. But if they were engaged, we'd know about it even without some People magazine article or similar publicity. They could just tweet their excitement and then do no interviews. If she wanted this long standing relationship to lead to marriage and children then she shouldnt have taken him back without a ring.

Maybe he's her Mr. Big and it's going to take 10 years and several relationships, marriages, moves, and cheating scandals for him to figure out Ten is The One.

Actually meant that they both might have decided to "take a break" seeing that Tenley wanted to travel for charity missions & to Paris with friends. Personally would not like a partner going off to explore & discover new things on the horizon while one has to stay home on your own for work reasons for almost a year, so therefore a break would be a better option. Hopefully public opinion will not be the end of this couple, as sometimes things are not put out there very well regarding Kiptyn & who is to say that he is actually the problem here, it could just as easily be Tenley who is holding back because of her divorce.
