IMO it is always better to keep an open mind. Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one, but this show has you thinking someone is the F1 one minute and then by the end of the next episode you are doubting everything you believed in.

If JP is the F1 then TPTB are sticking to a formula they have been using for several seasons. The person who gets a 1-1 date in episode 3 has a pretty good shot at being the F1. JMO

However, this season the coin toss seems to have been a variable. Could it have been a variable assigned by tptb and Ashley. Or was it for real ? This answer will come at the end of the season :Nod:

I think that if JP is F1, and at this point in time I do believe he is, that the reason they have been so obvious about showing it, is to counter the Bentley backlash. They clearly overplayed their hand with that story, so maybe they feel they have no choice but to show the obvious love story.

I was just looking at the comments on some of the video's that have been posted, it seems that ppl are getting mighty fed up with The Bent One and are posting in comment sections that they will not be watching any more of the Bachelorette. It's a shame that MF or TPTB are so brainwashed about having "drama" in their "reality shows" that they are turning off their rank and file viewers. :Frown:

Right now though, I can't imagine Ashley's F1 being anyone not named JP. There are too many clues in the show and too many clues post-show for me to think she's not engaged to him.

I agree with Bronwyn that they're showing the lovestory because although the casual viewers aren't noticing it now, they'll be able to go back and pick up on all the little clues after the finale. If the spoilers are wrong, I think TPTB have really dropped the ball here because they have a scenario they seem to love to play out with their Bettes- the woman being "rescued." They have the perfect setup right here and the only one who fits is JP.

Most unspolied viewers I've heard from & those on other MBs think JP is being propped up for next bachelor. They think Ben F has it in the bag.

She apparently is so obsessed with Bentley - does she suddenly realize that she likes JP? It's possible but I think more likely that she didn't realize the potential of some of the others - ie Ben.
JP is not invited on the Dance Show group date - dancing is so important to her.

Falling asleep with JP - first date - shouldn't there be something to talk about - shouldn't she want to get to know him. I know she was exhausted but ...................

She "owes" him a good one on one. How about her wanting to take him on a romantic one on one ?
I agree she is attracted to JP - and he makes her feel good; he comforts her. I am not sure what Ashley needs - does she really need all this comforting. Does she need a stronger type - someone a little aggressive - a little fighting instinct? Perhaps Ben is too laid back but I see his personality more calming and compatible with Ashley's. I think after the glow has worn off that JP and Ashley could be too much alike.

Re the bolded/underlined, and assuming JP is F1 ~ NO she didn't suddenly realize she liked JP, he was always the front runner, but Bentley messed with her head. At one point (all the fake comforting Bent did at the Roast, etc), he could have been neck and neck with JP. But the more time she spends with JP, and he has a comforting nature too, she realizes he's the one and he's back to front runner and has been since the beach/sand/kissing/umbrella. She has said in many interviews her F1 "made her feel like a woman", "made her feel sexy again". He is also her rock and said "he's not leaving", her other fear.

Could Ben be her F1..maybe, I keep an open mind, and he's also a great guy. Do I think he is her F1..no, I believe it's JP.
And she can teach JP how to dance, it's a very minor thing.

Ha ha! The motherboard purposely included that in his bio profile knowing fully well how viewers would see how dancing was important to her and fool them into thinking he can't possibly be the one. Ben and Constantine were shown SUPERVISING the dances and helping with the "themes" and Ben's team won.

Oh... one more thing.

If the dance group date in Las Vegas was THAT important, why were we denied seeing Ben's 1 on 1 with her?

Not to get carried away but I keep thinking of things --

When Ben says in front of the temple (the no kissing scene) that he likes the way things are headed - she says "me too" and they both smile at each other. This seemed like a sincere interchange - her answer was soft and she didn't turn away.
When Ben tells her right before they walk toward the dinner setting - that every time he thinks it's good - it gets better. Again she agrees in, I thought, a very sincere tone of voice.

Somehow if she was always hanging around JP, I think Ben would have noticed this. It may be that the producers are emphasizing this to throw us off - I remember the camera always panning on Danielle in the Andy Baldwin show. It fooled me ! Ben just doesn't seem to be worried at all - just seems happy. I also think if she was obviously favoring JP - she wouldn't have a show. Her job is to keep them all guessing - and I would think this is pretty stressful !

The lead always like the F2 alot, that's why he's F2, but they fall in love with the F1, whichever guy it is, JP or Ben F.

I do think Ben makes her work for it a bit more and we do know people value things they work for more than things they can take for granted...I would imagine Ben and his slight bit of hesitation making Ashley nervous about him returning her feelings equally compared to JP that's showering her with assurances about his desire and how he hasn't stopped thinking about her since his last date (Ashley's not really falling for him at the same rate JP is from what we see with Bentley and all)...depends what kind of girl Ashley is I guess whether this would influence her positively or negatively for either guy

I would be looking closely at her behavior around JP during their 1:1 to compare to her eager flirtation with Ben F during their 1:1 last week. I haven't seen Ashley being as eager with JP outside of physical (kissing) or seeking reassurances he would stay... JP is almost her comfort spot -- and which girl that's crazy about a guy would dress down like she did in front of JP on their first date and simply be nonchalant about it and not fiddle while worrying what he thinks of her (it almost reminds of ChrisL and Ali's date in NY and her being sick and in PJs)

I don't know-- right now I don't think I'm seeing too much out of loving the physical chemistry and the kind of attention JP gives her...whereas with Ben F *she* is seeking him out and making extra effort to grab his attention and flirt...
