OK, some parts were a bit awkward to watch . I couldn't imagine having so many cameras in my face and crew members around and still act normal.

Regarding what Arie said - I don't know, I guess that statement could be taken like any other contestant, since they all pretty much "accepted their offer" (to be casted) for the Bachelorette. I don't think viewers would read much into it (if there is anything to read into)? Who knows, it might not even make the edit.

Yeah, that's what I assumed when he made that statement. It didn't really appear out of the ordinary to say (for me at least). Like, regardless of how they applied for the show, each of the 25 contestants were all "offered" the chance to be on the show.

I don't think everyone applies, they still recruit people. Didn't Ed say he was walking down the street (or in a bar) and he was approached about it and pursued quite relentlessly because he wasn't keen on the idea? They must have really liked his look. Poor Jilly.

Really there were only two options here. Arie heard Emily was the Bette and decided to apply (always seemed very unlikely to me) or TPTB called him up and asked if he was interested in doing it (seems very likely).

So Cassie "applied" for him :winkie: Anyway, I just meant to say regardless of how they got to the show (whether family/friends applied for a contestant or the show recruited a contestant), they were all offered a spot in the end.

Watching this made me really nostalgic for the Bachelor Mansion. This mansion somehow doesn't "fit". Plus I miss seeing the limos drive up and the guys stepping out from them.

My heart broke for Brad when CH said, all he told them about Emily coming back for B'ette was, "take care of her". :broken heart:

Also, I was TRYING to watch the reactions to each guy, but I kept getting distracted by Emily literally dragging each one of them to their mark for the camera after the initial hug. Also, Randy, oy vey!!
