With the Bettes the F1 isn't chosen until May but the previews are shown in April. I remember during Ali's season they showed alot of Frank (who ended up F3).

I agree. For Ali's season though, you could tell Ali was really into Frank. She's a lot more into Frank than Frank's into her actually.. But Ben's season's really different.. the F1 is just too much drama lol.

This is off topic, but do you think if Frank had not left the show to be with Nicole she would have picked him over Roberto? I just don't think she would have. IMO

Ashley's 1st real preview not focused on Bentley:

Here are the last four Bachelorette's previews I could find to compare to Emily's. Jillian's is the closest to emily's in that it aired before her season had finished filming. It shows Ed in helicopter with Jillian & ziplining on his 1st date. It shows Kiptyn, Reid, Michael, etc. I couldn't find a video for the shorter preview of Ali's. However, I've seen the sceencaps pf it an dit much like ashley's with someof the inset little photos. It has alot of Roberto (Portugal kissing, dancing, 1st date out of helicopter), some kissing of Frank, and none of Chris L. Ashley's has JP on his job, dates & kissing with Ben, William, etc. Deanna's has Graham, Jason, Jeremy and Jesse. So, I don't think you can say much about who does and doesn't appear alot in the previews. This is only the first one and the other guys may appear more heavily in th enext preview out. Plus, depending on whether Fleiss wants to show the love story or not guys being shown alot in the preview or not shown at all can mean different things. Either way their have been times when F1, F2, F3 gave been in the preview or not in it.

I don't think we can compare Emily's first 30 second commercial with the previous minute or longer commercials. When Emily's first minute commercial or extended preview comes out then I think we can compare apples with apples. IMO

Also if someone could find any of the previous first 30 second commercials then I think we can compare them to Emily's.

We found these earlier which are 30 seconds long and were the first previews.

The thing is with some of those they were drama based or based on the lead. Either there were tons of pics of the lead doing various things with a couple of pics of guys from the M&G & the season or you had purely drama in it. Like Bentley & the mask for Ashley. So, not alot of the F4 in those commercials anyway.

So Ali's was the only one that showed F1, F2 and F3. Deanna's showed F3 and F4. And Ashley's showed a glimpse of F2 Ben and a second of Ben's first date but no F1 JP.

I always think the first commercials set the tone for the season. Deanna's and Ali's were upbeat throughout but Ashley's ended with the crying. Emily's is perky but has that abrupt moment at the end supposedly about the helicopter guy. But we all know Ashley's season ended on a very happy note so that just may be their new way of editing the first commercials -- to create a little doubt among all the happiness.
