I'm dreading when that day comes for Charlie. He's only 2 yrs almost 3 in May so we got time.

I'm dreading that too. So far so good for my 15 1/2 yr old but something is clearly not right with him. He's happy, he's eating, he acts normal in every way but is now down to 12.25 pounds, whereas he maintained 17 pounds ever since he stopped growing.

Uggh, never long enough. Been through it once, I was a mess for months.

I'm glad they got another pup before Truffles passed. I don't know if they knew something was wrong with her, or if they just so happened to want another one.

I couldn't do it but I know it's great therapy for others.

@GuardianAngel Have you had his thyroid checked? That is what happened with my Midol. She started losing weight and it was her thyroid. Often it can be managed with food now. Diabetes can also be the culprit, but sometimes it is just that they are getting older.

@Sprite little off topic but the two med's they started him on were great. Then he got horrible side effects to one of them, so we took him off of that. He's been getting a shot every two weeks and there's no issue's knock on wood. He's normal in every way, you wouldn't know he's going to be 16 in October.

He lost a lot of fur over the years, and it's all growing back. Has to be the shots. He got down to 11 pounds since the last post upthread. He's back up to 12.5. Has a good appetite, not gaining it back as fast as he lost it. When he was loosing his fur, the vet thought it might be thyroid but he didn't have any other symptoms. So far he's great, and I'll take it for as long as I can.

I know last time they were on a season, Armando was wanting another baby and they were looking to adopt. Wonder where they are on that now especially given Kenny has grown kids and his age.
