The Bachelorette in Charlotte, NC :: We Love Chris Harrison!

Some of you may or may not know that this season’s Bachelorette is the one and only, Emily Maynard! She didn’t find love with Brad, so she is out to find love again, this time in her own control! Emily lives here in Charlotte (she attends the same church as we do, Forest Hill) and she agreed to be the next Bachelorette on one condition; they filmed right here in Charlotte so she could stay near her daughter Ricki!

The filming has begun and Charlotte has been “Bachelorette central” with people spilling fiming locations, attending dates, and more. I had the opportunity to be in the audience for a group date yesterday and it was so cool to see how it all plays out and what all goes into filming a date for the show. I can’t give you any details of the date, but I can tell you it was so fun to watch and you won’t want to miss it!

The season airs in May, so be sure to watch and see if you can find me in the audience! (I may have been sitting right in front of someone near and dear to Emily’s heart! )

Before the date started and we entered into the theater, Chris Harrison himself came out to greet fans. It was so cool to see him in person and get to chat with him! He is just as outgoing and nice as he seems on the show! He even chatted with me and my friend on camera (I insisted he try Chick Fil A, way better than their obsession with Bojangles!)

After witnessing some of the guy’s interact with Emily, I have my own guesses as to who won’t make it until the end. A few of them I’m guessing will be going home before too long, but I’ll leave my guesses for later once the season plays out! It’s going to be so cool to see this all edited and put together once the season airs!

The only reason I would like Bentley to come back is so Emily can reject him. He has no value otherwise, serving only to drag Emily's season into a drama filled abyss. NOT a good plan.

Charlotte's "Bachelorette"on high-flying date

Charlotte’s Emily Maynard took “The Bachelorette” to new heights Tuesday night, scaling the side of the Mint Museum Uptown on a date with a suitor.

The ABC reality TV show has been filming across the Queen City as Maynard, a 26-year-old single mom, looks for love among a batch of men vying for her affection.

Maynard and her date, an unidentified tall man with dark hair, arrived around 9 p.m. at the museum on South Tryon Street. They held hands and chatted as they strolled toward the museum – with cameras closely following.

Police blocked Levine Avenue of the Arts as crews filmed the date, which attracted the attention of passersby and those dining at chef Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant E2, located next door.

Maynard – wearing a white tank top, black leggings and brown boots – and her date were strapped into harnesses and given helmets with small cameras attached.

Maynard could be heard saying that she was “so excited” before they began their ascent.

About halfway up the five-story building, the pair gave each other a high five. Her date waved to those below, prompting cheers.

“We love you, Emily,” a woman shouted.

“Give him a rose,” said one, referring to the show’s rose ceremony where contestants learn whether they’ll continue on the dating show.

It took them about 10 minutes to reach the top. Onlookers clapped as they climbed over the roof’s edge.

Maynard was once engaged to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, the son of businessman and team owner Rick Hendrick who died in a 2004 plane crash while she was pregnant with their child.

Maynard won “The Bachelor” last year when Brad Womack proposed to her, but the couple split in June. In January, she was named the new “Bachelorette.”

The show is filming the forthcoming season in a six-bedroom, 8.5-bath European-style mansion in Charlotte rather than its usual California location because Maynard didn’t want to uproot her 6-year-old daughter for the filming, according to reports.

Last week, Maynard and a date were reportedly scheduled to have dinner at the new Osso Restaurant & Lounge and then watch a concert by country-music band Gloriana at the N.C. Music Factory.

“The Bachelorette” will premiere on May 14.

'The Bachelorette 2012' spoilers: Emily Maynard rappelling on second one-on-one

Filming for ABC's “The Bachelorette 2012” is underway, and fans are hoping that Emily Maynard finds the man of her dreams. While ABC usually like to keep filming under wraps, the crew is in Emily's hometown of Charlotte, NC and residents in the area are keeping their eyes open for activity. Lots of “The Bachelorette” spoilers are coming out as things develop, and news is that Emily Maynard went on her second one-on-one date Tuesday night.

Thanks to poster “Cash” at the Bach and Bachette Fan Forums, viewers now know to head over to the Charlotte Observer for some great pictures of Emily out with her guy. Reality Steve filled in some of the details for Tuesday night's date via his Twitter page. He tweeted, “Emily & her date just repelled [sic] UP the Mint Museum at Levine Center for the Arts, dinner on the rooftop, then a Luke Bryan concert to follow.”

So far the identify of the mystery date hasn't been uncovered, but chances are it won't take long to have a name to go along with the pictures. ABC has yet to officially announce this season's cast, but at the rate “The Bachelorette” spoilers are coming out, spoiler fans will have the names long before they are made official.

In the photos it looks like Emily is a bit apprehensive of the rappelling adventure, but the two seem to be having a fun time. The Luke Bryan will be her second concert of the season, as her first one-on-one date had a concert by Gloriana last Friday night. The new In Touch has a split main cover story on the "dirty secrets" of Courtney and Emily. So, I guess it is safe to say In Touch isn't going to be getting the unofficial leaks from the B'ette this season.

The Emily stuff isn't really anything new. The story just claims she's greedy, that she's after the paycheck ($250k in her case, so the story claims), that the Hendricks are mortified she's doing this, and she isn't protecting her kid from the cameras because part of her 1 on 1 with Ryan Bowers was going to see Ricki's soccer game. The story also says she was already picking out her Neil Lane engagement ring a month before filming started. [My comment: probably giving him an idea of what she likes, right?]

However, there is a semi blurry candid photo in the story of 10 Bach guys in the story (including a couple guys whose only visible part is a back or an arm). The caption says the guys hit the town (I think without Emily?). Nobody's identified by name. There's one guy who has his hair in a short high ponytail (hair is probably around chin length) - kind of hippie/surfer style but in a neat way, not unkempt. There's also a couple of pics from Emily's date with Ryan.

An anonymous insider is cited as the source for saying the guys to watch include the "gorgeous" Georgian Ryan Bowers and "bad boy" Jef Holm. No other names are mentioned.

I wonder if the bold is true. There was a tweet about filming on a soccer field that day. You would think others would have seen them tho and tweeted about it.
